  1. Something I've only just noticed is that the star that appears when you've previously posted in a topic is very difficult to see.
  2. I'm very surprised nobody has mentioned... -IPCs used to be even weaker than they were now. The posibrain was stored inside the head, meaning a single arm blade to the face was generally enough to destroy them, as the head popped off like a Lego. On the topic of IPC death, regardless of how much damage had been taken, if you died... all of your limbs popped off your body. Every last one of them. You needed those limbs to be placed back on to be revived at all. You want fun? IPCs show you fun.
  3. You can always use the /me command, which is intended for role-playing purposes.
  4. The AI controls the borgs, so it would make sense you would go to the AI if the individual borg isn't listening in the first place, yeah? Cutting power to a borg without trying to talk to the AI and handle the issue is extreme, or 'highroad' as you put it, whereas trying to talk out the issue with the AI is the easier, simpler solution. It's about on the same level as telling an AI to open a door. One method puts a player out of the round, as well, even if only temporary. If the AI can get them to shut up and fuck off, the situation is handled far better than just cutting off the borg's power and, again, likely having an angry AI and security busting down your door. Because that's what's going to happen... or the AI is going to try and talk to you anyways, if they're feeling nice. You might as well.
  5. I have to agree with Procdrone. Not everything is about winning.
  6. Unfortunately, you can't really ignore a borg that's constantly tampering with the fabricator while you're trying to use it.
  7. It might be better to expand on this. If a cyborg is constantly getting in your way like this and won't quit, it would be best to try and contact the AI first. If the AI doesn't care/ tries to get the borg to stop but they refuse, inform the RD, inform the captain, whoever, and then remove the power cell. Make sure you're communicating your actions with the AI, bare minimum, or you'll have a very angry synthetic overlord and security team busting down your door, and your day just went from 'bad' to 'I'm going to fucking stab someone'. Alternatively, you can tell them to knock it off for a bit, and if they're on crewsimov and they still persist, adminhelp it. When I roll borg and upgrades aren't available, I wander away and do other things for a bit, while occasionally checking in. Borgs are still capable of doing their selected module without upgrades for a bit.
  8. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MASSIVE LONG BUTTONS AND THEY'RE ALL SPACED OUT SO IT TAKES UP MOST OF THE PAGE OH GOD OH FUCK
  9. Ah, sorry, should have clarified that my post was a response to Esenno's, not yours. But those wouldn't be bad things to include either @Kyet
  10. I don't want to further encourage 'friendly antags' that just turn themselves in for little to no reason.
  11. Evie is too small in this picture, not realistic enough
  12. We can call it 'The Malpractice Blunder' :^)
  13. I'm very unsure of how to feel about this.
  14. I think a 'mining ERT' role should really only be delegated to helping an ERT breach things like cult bases on lavaland if they were to exist.
  15. Oh that's not the tough part The tough part is deciding which ideas to use
  16. Why is that every time I see a commission sheet, I immediately try to come up with the funniest (yet doable) images I can think of
  17. These modes are meant to be that way, and designed around it. As is, there's often still debate over whether they're good game modes that suit Paradise, but they're at least relatively enjoyable from a gameplay perspective. The lines aren't blurred on what you can and cannot do, there are no restrictions or worries of validhunting, and since roleplay isn't a strict requirement to make the mode work it generally goes by fairly smoothly as far as gameplay goes. Mutiny was not designed to be combat oriented as a priority.
  18. Antag tests in general are fairly poor form. I can't necessarily come up with a better method of deconversion, but something that would make security hold off from doing such unless they have actual evidence of cult activity would be lovely.
  19. HA Bet that gave you a heart attack @AffectedArc07
  20. We don't have loyalty implants. No reason to really remove the mindshield the captain has. And don't get me wrong, the concept is interesting... I'm merely telling you how it usually plays out.
  21. Few things here; Mindshield implant != loyalty implant. Mindshield implants only prevent brainwashing, nothing more. Secondly, this is worryingly similar to an entire gamemode we gutted out of the code called Mutiny. It worked almost exactly like what you've just described. I won't sugarcoat it... it never ended well. It often ended like revolution rounds, team deathmatch.
