  1. "And in addition, most gimmicks are so destructive that they require hijack to do, anyways." Come on, there are a lot of fun gimmicks that are not that destructive.
  2. So, I can't find anything in space law or SoP that says you need a head ok for borging. Robo SoP says you need consent from the borged, and thats all it states: "4. The Roboticist is not permitted to transfer personnel MMIs into Cyborgs without express written consent from the person in question. The consent form should be kept safe;"
  3. I'd very much appreciate a HRP day, unfortunately it seems pretty impossible to implement.
  4. A new eng job title, the Hardsuit Warden is resposible to grand hardsuits to engies, and more importantly, take them back. Harsuits from now on will broadcast their coordinates to the Hardsuit Tracking computer. And the track computer will also be able to lockdown hardsuits, trapping wearers on the floor immobilized. Harsuit Warden has complete authority over hardsuits, including CE Harsuits. He spawns with an energy gun and can use lethal force to protect the hardsuits if necessary. To implement this we will need some map changes to eng and atmos, So Hardsuit Storage is secure, and atmos and engies can access it and also some code changes to hardsuits, and the creation of the Hardsuit Tracking computer. And of course the coding of the job itself and some new sprites to give the Hardsuit Warden some bling. Maybe something like a sec mask with some new audio like 'WHO STOLE ALL HARDSUITS".
  5. They probably make the exclusive games cheaper than they would be otherwise. Also more competition in the distribution market will probably make games cheaper overall. One thing I don't get is why companies don't just price discriminate between distribution platforms. If Steam takes a bigger cut just launch it with a higher price tag on steam. Those who value steams convenience over paying a little bit more can do it. Those who don't care that much can get the game cheaper on epic. My guess is epic is offering some quite good deals and probably losing money to buy out exclusivity so they can get bootstrapped into a viable platform.
  6. Do note wiz has basically no objective and they usually charge the station and die in 5 min. And i mean, if you want to do a gimmick and ignore your objective you already can, as long as you keep away from hijack only things. No one's gonna enforce that you try to green text.
  7. As a Vamp just ask bartender for lots of Demon's Blood and Devil's Kiss, these drinks contain blood, you will be full powered in no time, without leaving bar.
  8. "Each has something going for and against them" - I feel they are just part of the same system. Something cyberpunkish where NT hires illegal teams to sabotage/steal other companies while other companies do the same to them.
  9. I'd really like a blueprint hud actually
  10. You can hack radios, including attaching signalers. So you can make some interesting things, like voice activated sbr for when someone gank you in maint and takes off your radio.
  11. Think it would be nice to have a spare in case the one we have is destroyed or stolen.
  12. Hope you have fun spessman, what you're playing as?
  13. What did you do with all the gas? I think we actually have too much gas, there's basically no chance that we can't pressurize the whole station due to a breach. (Unless the breach is in the tank itself)
  14. Given that people are complaining both that you take forever to die and that you die to quickly, I'm gonna assume that the system is just more random.
  15. Yes please, we need a Average time to Die x initial damage graph, and also a frequency distribution of times to die for some arbitrary damage numbers like -1 -25 -50 -100 and -200
  16. I like the idea. Also flogging has a proud tradition in the navy. The good thing about flogging, in addition to the event of a public flogging, is that it allows sec to basically let someone go, but also punishing them. I've frequently seen sec just wanting to let someone go with a slap on the wrist, but feeling they couldn't or shouldn't. Flogging lets them literally let people go with a slap on the wrist if they feel like it. (althou you need a generous interpretation of "slap" and people probably shouldn't be flogged on the wrist tbh).
  17. Do they still say "I LIVE AGAIN"?
  18. This is neat! I'll try to produce some frankeisteins next time i work robo.
  19. The loss of brain transplants is trully sad. But I'm not sure if taking out the heart kills people in this system. It should just put people on cardiac arrest and make them take ox and brain damage.
  20. It seems the problems people have with the PR is that making treatment more complex makes cloning a better alternative to treatment, and removing the defib as a revival option makes cloning more prevalent. But I'm not completely convinced that's true. The thing is, by putting a lot of states between taking lots of damage and dying I think the new system may extend the time people spend in crit. It may be that the new system leads to more people hitting medbay alive instead of dead, and injecting them with saline or whatever or defibing them, and putting them in cryo or applying patches seems quicker than cloning.
  21. "Following this, you'll undergo full cardiac arrest/heart attack. In this state, you'll flop on the ground and rapidly take brain and oxygen damage." Presumably the brain damage occurs because the brain has no ox, can injecting a lot of ox med before or during the cardiac arrest meaningfully extend the patients life? Or if not, can manitol do it? The progression seems to be crit->shock->cardiac failure->cardiac arrest. Does damage factor into the progression besides initiating crit? A more damaged patient will have higher odds of sliding down the road to dead? Whats the mean time it takes from going from crit at 0 hp to dead in the sistem?
  22. Eng has been doing science occasionally for some time. I've been kinda guilty of this myself, building an exosuit fabricator and installing implants in engs on the assembly line using our R&D console. In my experience being a CE and trying to control engies doing this, and seeing other CEs doing it it's pretty hard. I think an easier way to enforce this than SoP would be useful. Making it a rule would solve it, althou I think there should be some exceptions with command authorization. I've seen engies doing it to finish the station project when scientists are fucking around and not working. Usually when that's the reason it starts later in the round. An easy way to code is just putting either the DA or the Proto or the console board behind a door engies got no access to. Probably someone who knows science better can determine which of these is optimal. A harder way to code is putting some more restrictions on sci printing loot, my guess is the engies are doing it just cuz they like the sci loot and have access to everything they need to make them some. But of course this should be thought more in the context of balancing sci than forbidding engies from making sci.
