Adding to what calecute said, unless there is an obstacle infront of you (window, wall, etc), you SHOULD be flying out. To put this into perspective: if you have ever been skydiving, have you noticed the slight pull when the jet/helicopter/plane door opens? That is the difference of pressure interacting and you being directly effected by it. The higher you are in the atmosphere, the lower the pressure is. Now, imagine this very same thing happening but 1: The helicopter is hooked with oxygen 2: The windows are square and near impenetrable 3: The material which the helicopter is made of is near impenetrable and unbreakable 4:You are in space, in this very helicopter Now, if the pressure is so low in the ocean which your body would be hopelessly crushed and broken, you would be absolutely decimated in space where there barely is pressure. That large of a pressure difference would most likely gurantee that if a breach had taken place in the bar, realistically you would most likely be dragged to there from the medlobby(assuming no firelocks). Granted it's no fun but being killed by a metal rod because of fastmos isn't fun either.

Well, the charges as they are are fine and have no reason to be changed. I thought the Medical ERT was to get a majority of the crew on their feet when a virus/madman/admin takes out 95 percent of the crew, unless "viable" in your context doesn't mean "useable".

Unless the entire ERT has broken bones, the handheld bodyscanner's 1min cooldown isn't really that impactful. The charges are a good idea, but if possible the number should be equal with the number of ERT members.

Has to have some sort of downside since.. it's portable. Anything that isn't originally portable and moveable is intergrated with those very features has to sacrifice SOME usability. Examples would be: 1: Inaccurate locations of bones fractures, organ damage, etc etc sometimes 2: Gives a tad bit of toxin damage whenever it's used: stacks toxin damage whenever it is used on different people (e.g base toxin is 3, 50 people used it so 150 toxin damage for the 51st person) 3:Refuses to give information the stationary body scanner would usually give - amount of brute damage, burn damage, etc That's all I can really think of.

As Quark and Moxie said, 1: Because a race/species is played more often than, for example, plasmaman doesn't mean it's downsides are negated because of that. 2: Following the above, multiple people and myself included play their IPC character for roleplay. Sure it'd be great to roll changeling every so often or not have your fragile toaster ass obliterated by a wooden bat, but apparently rp & aesthetic > mechanics on paradise. To add to the topic in general, it isn't ever stated via the wiki or lore but it's more than likely that IPCs are cheaply made. Nanotrasen roundstart gets 1 Borg which is Better than an IPC in terms of taking damage Space proof With every module comes with a set of tools that will help the Borg do their job just as well if not better than their organic counterparts. But with this much power by default means there has to be some sort of way to control such a powerful machines, so they'd be assigned NT approven lawsets roundstart. That's(probably idk)why they're not free to toss the closest assistant out an airlock whenever they want. Let's assume this is common knowledge to most robotic manufacturing companies like masterrace Ward takashi or virgin zeng hu - they use cheaply made and easily accessible materials (dubbed Gamma Xtron from here on out) to make unslaved, unlawed, sentient and sapient robots.
