  1. Krek, Noble of Clan Tristan - Dumb, stupid, bug
  2. paranoia. Imagine walking through maints.... then you light flickers off.... you are alone in the dark... Interdepartmental Co-operation. Science can upgrade peoples batteries or fully negate the need for replacing them with yellow slimes. We have many mechanics like this that require you to do things to maintain something. Food is a prime example of this. It also gives cells more of a use. Cells get used for primarily 4 things. Stunbatons/prods , mechs, cyborgs and APCs. surely cells could be used for more things right? IDK if I am fully commited to the idea. I just wanted to hear what people think first.
  3. So they run out of charge if you use them too long, and then you need to replace their batteries. It sorta doesn't make sense that flashlights have infinite charge. Where is the power coming from? I dunno how long a standard battery should last however. maybe like, 30 minutes? make it give some tells as your battery is running low like "your flashlight flickers" *should* be fairly easy to code. Famous last words. I wanna know what you guys think.
  4. Make it do negative damage. It actually heals.
  5. I was gonna start a revolution but i accidentally spaced the disks
  6. That's why I am here. I am proposing this idea to see if people, heads, maints, like it before I start work on it.
  7. Goal - Send X amount of power back to CC Setup method Clear a large area on lavaland. And place down drills a distance apart from each other, and activate them. These drills could be orderable from cargo or the machine boards orderable and require science to build them? These drills would then start a timer until they complete. During this time, they would disturb the local wildlife. Hoards of lavaland fauna would attempt to attack the drills, and destroy them. It would be the miners and engineers jobs to keep the machines defended and repaired with nanopaste. After the drills have completed drilling, pumps would be placed over the drill holes. These pumps would pump plasma deep underground superheating it, and producing power. This power would be routed into a “power beamer” of sorts, which would blast this concentrated energy back to CC for cargo points. The power beamer’s machine board would be ordered from CC then constructed using high tier science parts. Balancing The more holes you drill, the more power you make, at the cost of disturbing the wildlife each time. Drilling a new hole creates a massive surge of mobs to fight, maintaining a power plant would create a small trickle of mobs. This means that a few powerplants are easy to maintain, however they will complete the goal slowly. Setting up lots of power plants produces more power however you might get overwhelmed with mobs. New lavaland fauna The burrower. A snake like creature that lives underground. Rarely surfaces, unless there is an earthquake or a disturbance in the ground… such as drilling into it. They don’t “move” instead they pop up out of the ground then dig back under, getting slowly closer to their target. They do high damage, however they have low health so you have to shoot them in the brief periods in which they surface. Why is it good for the game? It adds more variety to rounds, giving miners and engineers more to do. Also, @AffectedArc07 wants his argent. Rewards and such are up for discussion.
  8. Name: Bubblegum Age: 21 Gender: Male Race: Slime person Blood Type: Jelly: Pink General Occupational Role(s): Command: CE, HOS Engineering: Station Engineer, Atmospheric Technician Security: Security Officer. Biography: Bubblegum was born on Xarxis V to his (late) Father, [N/A] and Mother, Bloopy on the 1st of May 2544. His father never adopted a human oriented name as he was apposed to Nanotrasen and their ideals. [N/A] was aged 72 when Nanotrasen discovered Xarxis 5 so he never could grow accustomed to Nanotrasen's influence. [N/A] Died when Bubblegum was only 6, in a [REDACTED] cooling fluid accident. Bubblegum doesn't remember much of his father except that he was very xenophobic toward the relatively new races to him. Bloopy had to raise Bubblegum alone, she shared her love of mechanics and engineering with Bubblegum from a young age. She worked repairing boats and other marine vehicles in their tribe. Boats were super important on Xarxis V for trade on commerce between tribes due to the vast oceans and small islands. As a result Bubblegum and Bloopy held a high place in their tribe. Because of this, Bubblegum lead a healthy and happy life while he lived on Xarxis V. At the age of 8 Bubblegum had an accident falling out of a tree. He impaled himself on a piece of rebar that was discarded from an NT embassy construction project. His tribe couldn't heal the wound so Bloopy had to take a lone out to pay for his treatment in an NT hospital. Bubblegum still carries a large amount of this debt today. Bubblegum started working for his mother at the age of 10. This meant that when SolGov scouted their tribe, at the age of 18,he was a prime candidate. Bloopy encouraged Bubblegum to take the job as it is would have been Bloopy's dream to travel the stars working with super advanced machines and people all over the galaxy. Bubblegum took the job and began training to repair and maintain a star ship. He was stationed on SDV Tigris. A small destroyer, powered by a supermatter. Its primary focus was point defence - to shoot down missiles and small fighters to protect larger ships, and torpedos - to take out carriers. Bubblegum reports that he enjoyed working there, he learnt a lot of things and met a lot of people. However after 2 years he knew he had to leave. The ship was dangerous, and he had lost many good friends working there. He reports he wasn't cut out for the stress of working on such a vessel, the constant combat was too much for him. Bubblegum transferred himself to the NSS Cyberiad to make a new start. He heard it was a backwater facility that was hiring - what could possibly go wrong. Qualifications: SolGov Correctional Officer (Tier II) - Passed SolGov Engineering Certificate (Tier V) - Passed SolGov Advanced battle repair - Passed NanoTrasen Employee First Aid Basics Certification - Passed NanoTrasen Medical and Surgical Certification - Failed NanoTrasen Security Officer Candidacy Training - Passed NanoTrasen Riot Prevention and Deterrence Certification - Passed NanoTrasen Detainment Management Certification - Passed NanoTrasen Head of Staff Certification - Passed NanoTrasen Basics of Engineering - Passed NanoTrasen Basics of the Supermatter - Passed NanoTrasen Delamination prevention certificate - Passed Space OSHA Workplace safety course - Failed Employment Records: Bubblegum worked repairing boats and other marine vehicles on Xarxis V with his mother. From age 10 - 18 He then went to enrol in the SolGov military as as a Combat Engineer. Was positioned to work on the SDV Tigris, a Destroyer class vessel with the primary focus of point defence lasers and torpedos. From age 18 - 20 Bubblegum took over his mothers debt to Nanotrasen. At age 18 and a half. He then went on to apply at NanoTrasen when he wanted to get away from the danger of the military. Security Records: Bubblegum has accrued many health and safety warnings for workplace safety, listed as follows: Hotwired the engine of the SDV Tigris into the grid during a retreat away from multiple large war cruisers to increase the power to the engines. Was later informed the engines are on a different set of SMES. During downtime, ramped up the MEV of the SDV Tigris' Supermatter to above standard operational levels to harvest additional energy to restore the backups. Pyroclastic anomalies severely burnt the subject. Spaced the entire dormitories in response to a boarding party. The boarding party was jettisoned out of the breach, no crew was harmed. Bubblegum has proven to be an adept combatant. An expert at hand to hand combat, however his accuracy with common firearms is subpar. Medical Records: Height: 140cm Weight: 31Kg Injured himself at the age of 8 by falling on a piece of rebar, punctured his chest, multiple instances of internal bleeding, fatality - possible. MD. Oswald managed to stabilise the patient. Physical examination notes: Mildly malnourished resulted in a low body mass index. Two 3cm scars one on his chest and one on his back - in the same place. Overall Bubblegum is physically fit. Personnel Photo (Appearance text): (art by drakeven <3) (art by magistea) Other Notes: Scared of mice.
  9. >enjoys donuts. We've cracked it. The source of the fat. Malvor, donuts make you fat.
  10. Even then, crew will meta it being extendo basically and then either cryo or sit around twiddling their thumbs because they all just came down off their unga sugar rush.
  11. Dynamic isn't quite possible rn but- soon™? It would solve a lot of issues- however it might cause some others, such as cult traitors being too powerful? But that's a topic fit for another thread
  12. Make wizards (and there items) dust on death. So when the wizard dies, all of its stuff disappears.
  13. Security records: - Letov has shown a proficiency in ripping and tearing.
  14. Me: slaps roof of this thread "This bad boy can fit so many shitposts in it"
  15. I didn't know about the low blood thing.... that is kinda insane.
  16. Whether you want to cause a delam, or stop one, this guide has you covered. There are 3 types of engine delam caused by different things. All delams create station wide hallucinations to those not in lockers. SINGULO DELAM- the SM collapses into a SM charged singularity when too many moles of gas are on the SMs turf TESLA DELAM- the SM explodes and creates a tesla, happens when the SMs EER is above 5k EER NORMAL DELAM- SM just blows up init So the engine is on fire what now? "Danger! Crystal hyperstructure integrity faltering!" DO NOT PANIC. Don't. Seriously. Panicking is a great way to NOT stop a delam. You normally have plenty of time, upwards of a couple minutes to fix this mess so DON'T PANIC. Grab a rad suit or engineering suit. If the SM chamber is consumed in fire, an atmos suit might be a better option. any protection is better than none. CEs hardsuit is ideal. Engine delams are caused by one of the three properties of the SM. Energy (or EER) being too high, pressure being too high/low OR temperature being too high. Adding N2 to a delamming engine (preferably cooled) will delay its delamination by reducing its energy. bare this in mind. Fire extinguishing an SM will cool it down, useful if you have a second person working on an SM to buy the other person more time to fix the issue. MAKE SURE TO WEAR MAGBOOTS I SWEA YOU WILL BE PULLED INTO THE SM. also, try and place a holofan at the door to make sure all the gas doesn't erupt out and kill you. Firstly, check the SM room itself has power. Someone could have sabotaged its APC so its vents and scrubbers are not operational. Secondly, check that the air alarm is set properly. It should look like this, vents and scrubbers respectively. If the SMs air alarm is online and set properly and you are still delamming, the issue is somewhere else. Make sure someone or something (maybe a meteor) hasn't destroyed some of your pipes, replace missing pipes if you should find them. You should check that the filters are all maxed, on and inputting the right gas. Then check all pumps (aside from gas to filter and atmos to loop) pipes are either maxed OR replaced with straight pipes. Replacing these pumps with straight pipes might aid in slowing or even stopping a delam because it will stop the pumps from clogging. At this point, if your SM is still too spicy you are going to want to scan your pipes. If when you scan your pipes there isn't many moles of gas inside, or even none someone might have sabotaged your loop, dumping your gas into space. You want to find this gas sink and remove it. Then replace the gas in your loop. Now lets talk about the more unique delams - SINGULO Delam SM quote "Warning: Critical coolant mass reached." This is one of the only cases where adding more N2 will not help you, it will only make it worse. If the pressure is MASSIVE you are gonna want to dump some gas. Your pipes are clogged up with the amount of moles and pressure in your pipes, stopping circulation and leaving hot gas in the chamber. So you gotta dump some gas. How do I dump my gas? you have a couple of options 1, you can use the filter at the top left of the SM (on box station) set it to the type of gas you want to dump and it will fill the two tanks that spawn by the SM with that gas. This method is slow so it can be calibrated much easier. 2, you can bipas the four filters at the bottom of the SM, dumping all of the Gas rapidly into space. If you are using this method you will want to have some tanks of nitrogen (preferably cooled) ready to replace the gas. TESLA "DANGER: CHARGE INERTIA CHAIN REACTION IN PROGRESS." If you hear these words over comms you know shit is going down. The SM will start throwing out arcs of energy and creating anomalies. NOTE: THESE ANOMALIES DO NOT DROP CORES. Between 5000 and 7000 EER, if you don't have a grounding rod, the arcs of energy will deal damage to anyone not wearing gloves insuls. 7-9k EER gloves will only partially protect you and machines take damage. 9K+ EER, machines will FUCKING EXPLODE, at this point the SM is very hard to fix without a grounding rod. APCs, lights, freezers, EVERYTHING becomes a BOMB. All arcs can be grounded by one grounding rod as long as it is visible from the SM. To fix this delam, you want to switch out the gas composition of the chamber from CO2 to N2. even partially switiching the N2 for CO2. for example having a 40/60 N2/CO2 mix will probably stop this delam in its tracks. As I said before, adding more N2 is normally your best friend in fixing a delam because it kills the energy of an SM, massively reducing its EER. Make sure to avoid the anomalies. IF IT IS COMPLETELY FUCKED As a last resort you can, RCD the floor UNDER the SM. This will space all of its gas and buy you some time to run away or even muster some supplies to fix the SM. an SM with a spaced tile underneath it will take ages to delam. now onto my favourite part BEING EVIL "I want to sabotage the SM, how mentor?" Don't worry my friend. The engineer, is engihere. (do note, I am in no way responsible for any bwoinks caused by this guide. you gotta be a hijacker to do this you dork) General tips Kill engineers who are trying to fix your delam. Mute the SM on telecomms to stop people from knowing about it happening. Have a plan outside of engine sabotage. yes you can force a shuttle call, but outside of that you need a plan. Supermatter shards explode smaller than the engine one. consider making singulos with them or even dragging them around and throwing people into them. ALL HAIL LORD SINGULOTH! Do you miss the singulo? Do you want to summon the lord back? Pump a shit tonn of nitrogen from atmos to the engine. Yes, nitrogen. why? cos you can cram the most of it into an engine before it starts to delam. As a result nobody will even notice that you are sabotaging it until it is waaaaaaaaaaay too late. It is also a good idea to cool this N2 down before you inject it. Cold gas contracts, so you can fit more into the pipes. you want as much gas as physically possible in the SM chamber. Then cut the scrubbers. Keep pumping in gas. Don't stop. He hungers. HE HUNGERS. CONSUME THEM ALL. Lady tesla's return. Tesla delams are extremely difficult but they result in a massive boom and a tesla when you pull them off. Firstly, get a stable 100% CO2 SM setup with 4k EER+. Secondly, get a grounding rod. Yes. A grounding rod. Safety equipment in my delam? no way! well, if you don't have it you might end up blowing yourself and your SM up, spacing all of your gas resulting in a pathetic tiny explosion of a delam. Thirdly, set the scrubbers to scrub everything except CO2. The CO2 in chamber will now start to build and heat up. causing a massive boost in the EER. now..... run. If you stick around you will be murdered and maimed by a grav anomaly or hyperspeed slime. Leave the pathetic engineers trying to fix your mess die to that. There will be a station shattering kaboom. If you want a quick easy delam without much pizzazz you can place a passive vent in space and connect it to the cooling HE pipes. this will act as a gas sink and cause the SM to delam from lack of coolant. Most engineers won't notice the issue if you do it off screen from the SM chamber and it will delam and it will blow up. Likely forcing an ERT or even a shuttle call. I hope this guide helped someone! leave any other tips in the comments.
  17. Great guide! But no breathing is worse than space proofing. Internals are much more common than being space proof and you can pull off some stupid combos with space proofing. Evidence, reactive armour + being space proof + syndie teleporter. You become the slipperiest person on earth. Also I am pretty sure shock immunity makes you immune to tesla shocks so it has to be atleast like... D tier. Outside of those tier nitpicks, good guide.
  18. Community opinion is taken into consideration when merging prs however we aren't an emoji democracy, just becuase people dont like a change doesn't necessarily mean it wont be merged.
  19. If we limited speed boosts when dragging flag robes would be useless for their intended function, converting. The issue with flag robes is their use in combat with security. They are clearly not designed for combat as the damage modifier suggests, however they are designed for speed conversions. Making people slower when dragging makes non lethal kidnappings much much much more difficult. In the situation you provided, the cultist would have to stun, then kill the other people they were stood with in order to convert them. Not ideal. Instead of nerfing their conversion ability, we should nerf their combat ability. I have two ideas on how to do this. 1 make the speed decay over time, being refreshed via conversion. Meaning they are less useful in combat with sec but they still remain powerful for growing a cult. Another nerf which is much easier to implement, is to prevent cult blades from being stored on flag robes. This would mean a cultist couldnt stun + have a mirror shield + have a sword as easily. Vastly reducing their lethality. Another suggestion is to make them harder to obtain eg. Requiring cloth + a forge in order to transmute flag robes.
  20. we finally found widemonds mass (1 unit = 1kg)
