  1. Heres an idea about the Clunwe Spell. Thanks for giving me that inspiration ID (or rather gave me the idea how it would be still in the spirit of said spell). If a Wizard uses the Clunwe spell you are given an option. It gives you a button/spell thats "Self Disintegrate". But heres the thing. You dont just gib. You gib in a bunch of confetti and make the sad trumpet sound. That way people who hate the clunwe thing could instantly get out and spectate and those who find it alright can stay and get put down. No loss for anyone.

  2. Brig physicians role is to treat minor ailments for prisoners, not to be a fully out medbay replacement for officers.

  3. That is a great addition to Cluwne. But I'd say only do it for the spell Cluwnes. Not ones punished by admeme. They need to suffer for bible farting / assfaxing CC ?

  5. I would like to suggest an improvement to the Brig doctors office. could it be enlarged a little and please could it be fitted with a full working body scanner and a operating table. i find it takes along time for me to get it setup and feels its not much help if not fully working . Thanks for looking Chris

  6. It's still fun. I enjoy running around, begging to be put out of my misery, as I get lynched to death. Generally when cluwned it's taken at most 5 minutes for me to end up beaten to death, which is much more hilarious and enjoyable than suddenly getting gibbed out of nowhere. (Except the time when a wizard was hidden as a potted plant and assassinating all the heads with disintegrate. That was pretty hilarious.)

  8. Sure if antags start to murderbone with double esword-meth memes, you are more than welcome to build cloner, get shitton of biomass, prescan officers and just crush antag with bodies. But during quiet moments, it is better to make life of worthy prisoners better.

  9. Oh so doctor is really a first aider. I was playing the other day to get a prisoner to medbay is hard work, dodging all the tables people have made in the corridors then having everyone running into you pushing the medical trolley away. If your in a hurry the prisoners will die takes so long. I'm abit funny when it comes to building my own medbay as I feel it takes away the RP when a doctor starts building advanced construction items what's why the station has engineering (maybe its just me) but getting one that's not busy can be real hard and most CE don't answer you when you ask. Maybe I'm too heavy in to the role play and maybe it's the wrong server for it.

  10. There is a big difference between ways of dying. Disintegrate makes you ghost instantly, which allows you to observe and possibly join round as ert or midround antag, which is good even if boring. Cluwn thing not only finishes your round without killing you, it is also most nonrp stupid fucking thing that exists in the game (thats why it is great for assfax punishment and such). I am really surprised it has not been removed already. Midround wiz could be good, but even without op spells it really can turn any current gamemode into wizard round, and therefore should only be adminspawn only, not random event. Ragin mages... just nah, even if some people like me played it 1-2 times at all, it is better to kill a newbie wiz and start a new shift than to fight unending meaningless chaos without history behind it. Imho

  11. That may have been the original intention but it's generally not how Brig Physican is played. For good reason, in my opinion. If the Brig Physican's job is to just treat minor injures then he is completely and utterly pointless. Any officer can apply a trauma kit to someone. There's absolutely no reason to have anyone dedicated to doing something so immensely trivial. Surgery and full on treatment is a much more involved process so it makes sense to have someone dedicated to it. It's natural for things to evolve and grow beyond the designer's original intention. That's usually a good thing and the evolution of Brig Physican is no exception. That said, I don't think the Brig Medical bay should get any more equipment. Having to scavenge and scourge is half the fun, and it rewards mastery.

  12. I'd be more worried about the blob to the left. (or is that the joke?)

  13. I believe the brig doctor room was only to treat minor treatments. They are to be cuffed in all treatments and rolled to medbay if require more serious treatment with security escort. That is how I play it anyway

  15. "fun" It might be fun, if you weren't marked as 'valid', and instead people would RP it, rather than beating you to death on sight.

  17. No, their goal would be to kill each other. I probably should have stated that before.

  18. It's boring and useless. /thread Just kidding. There's more to it than that. It's boring for all involved, it's useless as far as being reliable, and it almost always causes way more problems than the department mitigates or is even possible to mitigate, let alone mediate. The department could be removed, and there would only be positives to come out of it; no one will be harassed by shitsec, no more loot pinatas, no more arguing space law with admins, and it will increase RP. And I'm sure there are plenty of other positives. There are no negatives; security rarely has a good member, and they usually aren't listened to, anyway, and gets killed by the other members through negligence, ignorance, etc. Security doesn't, or isn't able to enforce the law to begin with, so removing them isn't a problem. There are usually scientists who end up being security, anyway, and that is all that is really needed for any sort of antag deterrent. Any significant need for security could be mitigated with ERT use. Minor needs for departmental discipline could be handled by the heads of each department as well as IA. As far as security players go; there are two main groups. Old veteran players, and the ones who are just starting to pick up the ropes. To the new ones; I'd say potentially being hired as some form of security by the HOP might be fun for you, or perhaps as a bouncer at the bar, if you are disappointed at the prospect of no longer having a security department. For the old ones; I'd say that to keep going back to security to try to make security good/fun again is like going back to an ex-girlfriend that does the thing you like, texting you at 3am, saying she wants to meet up, to do that thing you like, only to remember why you broke up in the first place; before she does the thing you like. It would probably be more enjoyable, less stressful, and provides more benefit to the rest of the crew, to move on to a new department. Really, when it comes down to it; there isn't really a need or use for security, nor benefit. It might as well be the new xeno-arch. Except for hiding bodies; it's for being a domineering asshole, and looting noobs as an antag. It would be more fun and less stressful for all, to remove security.
