open a canister to fill the entire hallway instantly

Does this also work in reverse where if there is a breach the room is devoid of any atmosphere instantly? If so, how would that work in something like a large hallway? Doesn't make sense for the room to fill up or empty instantly if its large.

Should have seen the system we had prior to the current one, or the one before that. This one IS an improvement.

More people playing a race doesn't make the race stronger, so saying they can't be under-powered because they're popular is just objectively false.

We werent saying being popular makes them stronger, we were saying maybe we should focus on making improvements to less popular races to make them more appealing instead of making a race that is already popular more appealing.

Also, players who get pissed about dying will continue to do so. You could nerf EMP, you could literally remove it, these players will move onto the next unfair thing that they want fixed. I've died alot to both EMP and everything else you can think of. After a while it all feels the same. Everyone dies frequently and unfairly. Its part of the game.

  3. The only thing I'd personally like to see is making robotics so it isn't so isolated. Make it more accessible like Medbay (make the recharge area a "lobby" that is accessible to the public?) It really sucks when you have a problem only robotics can fix and you go there only to find the shutters down and have to beg for assistance on comms, being ignored half the time and not knowing if there is anyone even working in robotics or if they are dead/fucking off. As my human I can at least walk through Deadbay and visibly see there is nobody there to help me. Which makes me feel less alone than standing outside robotics.

maybe get only burn dmg in vacuum. I don't see why their metal would get damaged, and you know, space = almost no matter = overheating.

I've always viewed the brute damage in space as, they have liquids within thier body, whether its coolant or oil or whatever, and those liquids react with a cold vacuum in a fashion that causes damage to the components containing those liquids and the plating containing those components.

I know I'm in the minority here but, I'm fine with my IPC as they are. I think the reason there is so much talk about them being revamped is BECAUSE they are the second most popular race,  hence more voices. I agree if we felt like fixing any races it should be the ones people barely play.

I primarily play a human and an IPC. I experience the benefits and detriments of both. I don't consider one superior to the other. I honestly believe people who ONLY play IPC lose sight of the benefits of being one and focus on the negative aspects far too much. I'm not gonna repeat all of them cuz I've said em too many times. Ee get a new post like this every month or two.

"This is the song that never ends..."

  5. I've always imagined becoming fat was you busting out of your clothes cuz they cant hold it in anymore. I've had a handful of situations where I became fat at the worst time and it was hilarious. I think this is an example of people failing to appropriately react to things IC (IE people snapping thier finger off and acting like nothing happened).

If you become fat suddenly, dont mumble to yourself IRL and get mad about the inconvenience, roll with it and make it fun. Literally all you need to do is react to the fact that you just busted out of your clothes and see how others do. Way funnier than the stupid repetitive shit people always do like spamming scream, flip, or the various mindless phrases weve overused at nauseaum. "Ass blast USA" was super funny the first hundred times I swear XD

I've literally had the brig doc perform a surgery to reattach my finger after snapping it off. Or emoted that I failed to fire my taser cuz of my missing finger. Make it fun. Quit worrying about the mechanics of it.

    Leave it as is.

True. Nothing has to be changed. IPCs are just robots made specifically to carry an emergency kit in case some superior race person around is in trouble

Probably cuz I have played Paramedic so much as my IPC, but I HAVE had to use the internals from my emergency kit on someone else as my IPC XD

  7. Pretty sure the purpose of the kit is because you are on a space station and a breach makes the room very immediately dangerous without internals. Exposure with internals takes much longer. Its not meant to be a first aid kit.

You could consider the fact that vox and plasmamen are always wearing internals and never need to reach into thier emergency kit for a tank and mask to already be advantageous. Same for IPCs who dont require any kind of internals ever.

I decided to join up yesterday, and after a super chaotic first match as John the Fat-Ass Mime, where I almost died twice, I decided that I would really like this game.

If you decided you really like it here after that then you belong here. Welcome to Paradise. Welcome home.

However, how many people would be willing to face a guaranteed permaban to experience this?

We have at least 1 or 2 people almost every round who are willing to just join and cave someone's skull and receive a ban, those people would love to be able to receive thier ban in a more elaborate fashion.

Don't get me wrong I LOVE the idea of this, but I share the same fears Tzo does.

This does give an idea for a rather simple event tho. Instead of rewarding some ban seeker maybe offer the "mouse" role in such a manhunt to a regular and generate some story as to why they need to be hunted.
