This is off topic, so we should take this to another thread. But, yes. Another con being this increases the number of people that dive into maintenance at shift start.

I would completely support this, and have been suggesting this for some time. Glad to see you guys have reached the same conclusion.
That said, I'd love to use my new 'spawners' to the reverted version of the maintenance.

1) Drones are a role for ghosts to keep themselves busy. They aren't for really interacting in the round in any way. They have access to Binary as READ ONLY, so they can understand where damage may be for them to fix. This is not for them to interact/talk/communicate in any way.
When the law says 'beings' it is saying it in an OOC way. Don't try to rule lawyer this.
2) There is literally nothing a drone should be dragging that they can't drag. Give an example of something you think they should be able to drag that they cannot use their gripper on.
3) You aren't a janitor, you're a drone. You have soap, use that. A single drone isn't/shouldn't be a replacement for a janitor.
4) I can see this only being used for grief, and isn't necessary in any regard.

@TullyBBurnalot - it might not get merged, but so far has a ton of support, https://github.com/ParadiseSS13/Paradise/pull/7014 - making Coroner a full role in itself. Probably worth reviewing their SOP too as part of this.

Yeah many of the other servers have already moved over to a stamina model. I haven't had a chance to play with it yet, but maybe I'll spend a week on one of those servers, get a feel for it, and port what I like about the system.

@Twinmold the stamina thing is interesting... @Anticept doesn't stop talking about Stamina replacing stunbased combat.

Another server that runs it is Lifeweb, which, despite its bad reputation, I think we could learn a lot from.
Personally, though, I find the feature to be not worth implementing. We have way more fun things to focus on in terms of code, and I doubt this will change things that much.
Lifeweb for all its flaws apparently has some really cool stuff. Wish I had access to toy around with their features.

@nickcrazy its an idea I've toyed with a lot, but ultimately I think doesn't add to the game... even how much I enjoy playing Tot with a fiber wire, sneaking up in someones blindspot would just be amazing.... I don't feel that it would ultimately add to peoples enjoyment of the game.

Suggested nerf: remove their ability to cuff multiple people simultaneously.
One flash bang, and a borg could in theory cuff people in all 8 spaces around him simultaneously.

Commenting as I was on the server at the time, and even flagged your comments to DPL myself.
You very clearly broke rule four. Then further by not stopping when asked by an admin. All the while appealing to the peanut gallery of OOC, further breaking rule zero.
I'd have done the same thing in DPL's shoes.

No, you've missed the point entirely. It isn't weld protection, its fireproofing for dealing with outbreaks of fire.

I think I remain torn on this, on one hand I think it makes sense to happen, an a nice buff to some things.
On the otherhand, people are shit heads.
