  1. Might as well give the RD all-access, you know because a competent person would be playing RD and wouldn't abuse the privilege.
  2. Except they actually are entitled to it - your entire job on the station is to mine minerals for use in science, not to hoard it for personal use.
  3. Miiight have broken the turbine computer Got it working later on though.
  4. Mushrooms aren't plants, they're people ;_;
  5. As is stated, most people wear rose-tinted glasses when it comes to ZAS and forget how shit it was when it stunlocked you/ had starboard primary instantly fill with plasma from a canister on the other side of the hallway / had flamethrowers and other things not work / had an entire room depressurise in seconds from a one metre breach / had the station be a deathtrap / other. Also, people love to bring up the argument that LINDA is not realistic. It's a damn sight more realistic than ZAS (no, a one-metre breach to space will not explosively decompress a room as big as escape), and besides realism is a poor argument to make in this game anyway. LINDA actually will also make a room uninhabitable if that room is left unchecked; it just doesn't happen, you know, immediately. Sorry for the sort of rant, this topic's been done to death and every time the exact same arguments are brought up.
  6. Well, the mice do in fact control the world.
  7. We had an epic fight club... complete with a fully electrified ring! Nothing went wrong.
  8. True, though the AI should still be able to point out that it's a decal. You can always send someone over to examine it in person.
  9. Coding difficulty: low / medium Add this to the potential prizes of arcade machines.
  10. I always thought that only worked on the station z-level, I was always told miners shouldn't bother with sensors cause they dont work. Unless they changed it. Yes and no. The crew monitoring console on the station only sees the station z-level, but a handheld crew monitor can be used to track the suit sensors of the people on your z-level. This means you could take one onto the asteroid and be able to track miners.
  11. You can always break the window if you get stuck. However, it is horribly annoying. The canister can always be moved to the main corridor, or the maintenance room, which could be mapped in like ten minutes.
  12. A large problem I see is that the holodeck is abusable with near enough any item that turns into something. For example, setting the simulation to courtroom and wrenching all the chairs into metal allows you to take that metal outside the holodeck. Rinse and repeat until you have unlimited metal. I don't really see a fix for this without adding a tonne of code to prevent it being abused for infinite metal / circuitboards / chemicals / whatever. Want to learn a department? Buddy up with one of the regulars and ask them to help you. Alternatively, just play the hell out of that department for a few rounds. (Yes I know you said it's daunting, but... do it! It's not like you're expected to be someone who does it 100% every time.) Try memorising some of the easier stuff (how to take down a reinforced wall, how to construct an APC, how to make some of the superior chemicals, how to fix internal bleeding) and soon enough you'll be able to do those things with ease.
  13. IMO, the labour camp as it is is fine. You get meson scanners for a reason; if you get a goliath on you then that's entirely your own fault. If a prisoner breaks out then they will die (barring stuff like finding the pod that's there), but if security puts a prisoner on the camp then they really should monitor them to prevent them from fleeing into space. If a prisoner breaks out then the air will take forever to vent into space, due to how LINDA works, so it's really not much of a problem. Additionally, sec can just drag an air canister and make the area as good as new. The only problem with the labour camp at the moment is putting space-resistant races like vox there, but you can always just not send them to the labour camp.
  14. If medbay charged crew for buying medicine, I don't think many of our current medbay players would even bother doing their jobs. Even less so than usual.
  15. These are not the hammer. The hammer is my penis.
  16. Nope, but you can RCD airlocks, even if bolted.
  17. You don't even need that. Just some tools. Using tools to break into the AI satellite takes a tonne of time, which you usually lack, but is entirely doable. An RCD makes short work of it, though.
  18. Managed to survive a syndicate bomb on my satellite.
  19. We could *totally* have a stunbaton-wielding security officer piggypack another taser-wielding officer for MEGA CRIME FIGHTING SKILLS
  20. Love the art, SS13 needs more characters drawn Also, Sergey has that "oh fuck, not again" look...
  21. People kill animals for no reason here. If your Ian is sentient (and this is when you care about your pet), it will always get into some trouble. You can't fucking babysit a mob that can't defend itself. Then keep Ian locked in your office.
  22. Standing still best combat strategy 2k15? Well, I couldn't do much else except stand there and weld!
