The Security Pod Pilot's job is to pursue suspects that roam in space, away from the hands of your fellow Security Officers, patrol the space nearby in their Security Spacepod, scouting for hull damage or other dangers, keeping the station safe from any troublemakers, traitorous engineers, and the enemies.
Here is a list of stuff that the security pod pilot spawns with:
Required Knowledge
* A space pod. You wander the skies around the station in this, your trusty space pod, keeping the crew from harm from all the nasty aliens that live out there.
Out of Character wise: Read the rules carefully before playing as a member of Security.
* A space suit. You need this in case your pod someone explodes.

DETECTIVE Equipment (for reference)
In Character wise: Obviously, knowledge of how to fly and manage a space pod.
Here is a list of stuff that the detective spawns with, or otherwise finds in his office:

* Cigarettes and Zippo lighter - Not actually necessary.
Knowledge of Space Law. You're a security officer, after all.
* A coat and hat - Not only do these make you look cool, but they act as armour.
* The Detective's Gloves - As stated above, NEVER take these off if you are planning on being an actual detective and doing your damn job, or you will get your own prints on the fingerprint cards and mess up the evidence. Unique so that you don't get framed by fibres either.
* A security radio headset - This gives you access to the security channel so you can tell the officers to arrest insert-criminal-name-here.
* Your forensics scanner - Found in your backpack. Use this to scan for fingerprints and blood. Load it into your High-Res scanner to retrieve data.
* A .38 revolver - Fires rubber bullets designed to knock people down, doing around 10 brute damage. You should put this in your coat's storage slot for easy access.
* Spare ammo for the revolver - You may want to put these in your box. Make more at the autolathes if you run out.
* A tape recorder - For documenting interviews with suspects. Remember, it can record anything said around you from you hand, suit storage, or pockets, holding up to 3 hours of conversations!  Pretty cool, huh?
* A hand labeler - For labelling evidence.
* A camera - This is supposed to be for taking pictures of evidence, but it's obsolete in the face of the forensics scanner.
* Security Sunglasses - Just use them. They protect from flashes and give you information on everyone you can see.

Robustness is mandatory.
The Security Pod Pilot starts out in the Eastern side of Security. They kit up in this area and they have access to breathing apparatus as they are in space most of the time. Just above their spawn is the area where their shuttle is kept.

EVA knowledge will be needed to avoid you becoming a cold corpse.
As the security pod pilot, not many people have the speed that you possess. And even if the mechanic builds their own pod, guess who has the authority?

Your access is not very extensive, but you can possess (or steal away!) most of the weapons that security has, which may be enough to complete your objectives.
For Standard Operating Procedure for this role and other security roles, please see Standard Operating Procedure (Security).

If you are caught to explain what you're doing snooping around, or being so far away from your pod, you could get away by saying that you were off-duty and was bored (generally true), or that you were looking for an escaping suspect, with no time to waste!

Security Department

The Security Pod Pilot's job is to pursue suspects that roam in space, away from the hands of your fellow Security Officers, patrol the space nearby in their Security Spacepod, scouting for hull damage or other dangers, keeping the station safe from any troublemakers, traitorous engineers, and the enemies.

Required Knowledge

Out of Character wise: Read the rules carefully before playing as a member of Security.

In Character wise: Obviously, knowledge of how to fly and manage a space pod.

Knowledge of Space Law. You're a security officer, after all.

Robustness is mandatory.

EVA knowledge will be needed to avoid you becoming a cold corpse.

For Standard Operating Procedure for this role and other security roles, please see Standard Operating Procedure (Security).

Equipment

Here is a list of stuff available in the pod pilot's office:

 • Security Spacepod - Your trusty pod to wander the space around the station in, keeping the crew from harm from all the nasty aliens that live out there.
 • Security hardsuit - You need this to go EVA in order to grab people from space, or in case your pod somehow explodes.
 • Security locker Along with the standard security gear, here is also a lethal laser module for your pod.
 • O2 canister - Fill up your jetpack and oxygen tanks with this.
 • Jetpack - Makes it even easier to navigate space if your pod explodes.
 • Recharger and a spare power cell - Use these to keep your pod charged and ready.
 • Mechanical toolbox - Needed for repairs and changing out parts.
 • Welding goggles - Allow you to weld things, can be used without taking off your helmet or beret.

Starting Out

The Security Pod Pilot starts out in the Eastern side of Security. This is where they gear up in preparation for the shift. Just above their spawn is pod hangar. Feel free to change into your space suit, fill up your oxygen tank, and figure out your loadout - a visit to the security vendor to pick up extra gear is worthwhile. Once that's done, head into your pod by click dragging your sprite to the pod, similar to a mech. From here, use the 'Open pod doors' button on your Spacepod tab, and fly into space. Your aim here is to fly around the station and make sure everything is in order. That's really all there is to it, unless you actually run into something you can't handle. A lot of the time, the pod pilot is essentially a regular [Security Officer], but better equipped to handle threats that attack from or escape into space, and actively expected to do so.

Pod maintenance

As the Security Pod Pilot you are expected to maintain the pod and keep in in good shape at all times. You never know when the enemy will strike.

Changing/upgrading the battery

 1. Crowbar.png Use a crowbar to open the maintenance hatch.
 2. Right hand midnight.png Use an empty hand on the pod, take out the old battery.
 3. HCell.png Insert the new battery.
 4. Crowbar.png Use a crowbar to close the maintenance hatch.

Changing the weapon system

The pod starts out with a taser module which shoots disabling beams, but there's also a laser module in your security locker.

 1. Crowbar.png Use a crowbar to open the maintenance hatch.
 2. Right hand midnight.png Use an empty hand on the pod, take out the old weapons system.
 3. Pod w laser.pngInsert the new weapons system.
 4. Crowbar.png Use a crowbar to close the maintenance hatch.

Repairing the pod

Repairing the pod is quite straightforward. Just make sure you cover your eyes while welding; either with a welder helmet, or with the space suit helmet.

 1. Crowbar.png Use a crowbar to open the maintenance hatch.
 2. Welder.png Use a welder to repair the damage.
 3. Crowbar.png Use a crowbar to close the maintenance hatch.

Code Red

Either Space carp are killing the station, Nuke Ops are in space with the disk, or some other bad horrible thing has happened to cause code red. If this is the case, then the first thing you should do is:

 • Assess the situation, both on station and in space.
 • If the situation is very bad/ will become very bad in one or both of these cases, then head back to your pod bay (Assuming it's still standing.) and install the laser module onto your pod. You can do this via using a crowbar on the pod, clicking on the pod with an empty hand, and then removing the taser module. Place this in your security locker, and place the laser module in. Crowbar the pod again.
 • Head back into space. Fly around, look around for the threat, and take it out as you please.
