  1. Hello my fellow Spacepeople. Of late, we’ve had a large number of people drawing art of their escapades on station, posting on the forums or in the ‘Art’ Discord channel. I’ve always been quite enthusiastic about encouraging creativity in our community, That is why I was thinking about organizing an art event. We’ve had art events before, like the ‘server banner’ competition, but with the amount of artists of different skill levels and experience, a competition wouldn’t be very inclusive. I want as many people who want to draw to do so. So, I’m currently organizing an ‘Art Secret Santa’ (I know it’s no-where near to Christmas, that’s just what it’s called.) Here’s how it works. On discord, (Drakeven#1682) you send me your interest in participating, then you send me a description/reference of what you’d like drawn (Keep in mind, it’s got to be ‘Space Station 13’ related. A character you play, most likely.) Then, I add you to a (Hopefully) big list of people. After everyone has been entered, I muddle around the list, and give YOU a description/reference of who YOU will be drawing. KEEP THIS SECRET. It’s supposed to be a surprise until the end. The art in question can be anything, any style, (eg. 3D art, Pixel Art, Traditional, or Digital.) as long as it’s visual art. Now, here’s the caveat- You can’t just join because you want free art. If you want art, you’re going to have to make some. This doesn’t mean you have to be “good” at art, you can be of any skill level, beginner, or advanced, what matters is the EFFORT you put into your work. You’ve got to put a concerted effort into making something for someone that will make them happy. As long as you’ve tried, that will be good enough, so please do try. This event is to encourage new artists to try their hand at making something, as much as it is something for the more experienced. Here are the important dates- One Week after this announcement, (Currently Thursday 24th of September) I will close entries. Please message me BEFORE THEN to enter into the secret santa. One day after that, I’ll be giving out who each person is going to be drawing. Three weeks after that (Friday the 16th of October) is the deadline for finishing your art piece for your assigned secret santa. Feel free to send it to me if you complete it before then, however the 16th of October is the hard deadline that you should be aiming to get your art-piece done by. Hopefully by the end of it we’ll have a wonderful pile of art to hand out to people. I’m looking forward to this, and if anyone needs any help, please feel free to give me a message, or, if you’re struggling with how to draw something, perhaps poke your head into the art channel (As long as you don’t give away who you’re drawing.) Making and fixing mistakes is how we learn after all.

  2. Going with my general theme of clarification to prevent speculation, I'm suggesting adding a couple of very small additions to Space Law. Firstly, adding the act of cutting cameras to code 100, "Damage to Station Assets". I've included a screenshot of the law below. I experienced a round where Security were debating whether cutting cameras would be a code 100 (DtSA) or 300 (Sabotage), and discovered that neither mention cameras. Obviously, cameras are station assets, and I personally believe that screw-driving a camera and snipping some wires isn't really worth throwing someone in the brig for 15 minutes for, as it's easily done and easily fixed. Adding a small line of text in the notes to Code 100, something as simple as "cutting cameras" would help. Secondly, adding camera removal to code 300, "Sabotage." Screenshot of the law below. Removing cameras is more time consuming and damaging, as it takes a while to fully replace it. You have to take the time to get a camera assembly, take it to the location, and set it up to the network. Like above, adding a line of text to the notes of the law, like "fully removing cameras", would help clarify and it cuts down time spent in processing. Helpful to Security and crew alike, as less time is spent speculating on the how-to's. Lastly, while camera removal might be more appropriate for a medium level crime, like code 200 (Workplace Hazard), it doesn't fit the theme of the crime, as it concerns itself with lesser acts of sabotage that are physically harmful to crew, like accidental plasma leaks or shocked doors. Sabotage is more fitting. Alternatively, we could add both camera cutting and removal to code 100, though I personally think removing the camera entirely is worthy of a higher sentence, due to the effort required to repair it.

  3. Small doodle of Chikitita back when she was a raider! I thought the idea that her quills are naturally brown and she dyes them to look cool now was funny I've just felt like drawing vox lately, I should branch out

  4. Megafauna invading the mining base is not ERT-worthy. They shouldn't spawn that close to the base, and the miners should know better than kiting them back to the base. Security shouldn't need to go to lavaland to attack cult. They can just camp around the cult's teleport runes and arrest everyone who comes through. Or catch cultists on station with random searches. I really don't think teams of ERT going to lavaland is going to end with anything except an ERT-gear-equipped cult. Lack of minerals it not ERT-worthy. Megafauna on station is a serious issue, but the solution for it isn't ERT, the solution is making it much, much harder for megafauna to get on station in the first place.

  6. Tip 1 : Botany in perma can be annoying since you have only one bucket to do watering and the biomass processor luckily, the ice cup on the perma vendor can replace the bucket for watering. TIP 2 : You can cult Ian. He doesn't really help. But he has a nice sprite.

  8. Here's a few tips regarding some of the traitor items you can acquire from the uplink: Agent ID The AI won't be able to remotely track you while you are wearing it, they'll need to follow you around manually with the camera view. Your infraction level with beepsky will be lowered while it's worn, meaning he wont go after you if you're wanted or carrying a gun without a permit. Camera Bug Clicking on a camera while this is in your hand will bug it. This will give you the option to disable the camera on the bug's main menu (works like emp'ing the camera, so people will notice it's been tampered with). Access Tuner You can use this while looking through a camera, allowing you to hack doors from across the station. This includes the camera spying feature in the camera bug. F.R.A.M.E Cartridge Any new uplinks generated with this are fully usable once loaded with telecrystals, with each one getting a new set of discounts generated for it as well. Smuggler's Satchel The satchel will fit inside regular backpacks, but will hold normal sized items inside (excluding another satchel for obvious reasons). You can use it to increase your effective backpack space if you want. Uplink Implant As with the F.R.A.M.E, this counts as an entirely new uplink and will have its own discounts. Injecting more than one uplink implant will add another 10 telecrystals to it per use. Energy Dagger Throwing this at someone will deal nearly twice as much damage as a melee attack with the added bonus of always embedding itself into a target. This will make the dagger non-retrievable however. Emag Emagging a regular hypospray will let you fill it with any chemical you want, removes the chat message saying what you injected and will make the hypo work through hardsuits. It will still make a noise and can only inject 5u at a time but does let it function as a makeshift sleepy pen when combined with strong toxins (namely traitor poison bottle chems).
