Both of his parents were devout worshipers of a variation of Acolysm. His family was dedicated to restoring planet Earth to it's previously glorious state, and were extremely against space travel and interactions with other species. As such, Kevin spent his entire childhood on earth studying in what used to be Toronto to study Biochemistry. Both of his parents were arrested in 2550, and were assigned life sentences on Mars, due to their part in the [Redacted]. To avoid being associated with his parents, Kevin legally changed his name to Praxis Chailer. He also began to focus his studies to become a Geneticist after graduating. He graduated with a Masters Degree in Biochemistry in 2554 at the young age of 18. Immediately after graduating, he was assigned a job for the Milky Way Federation to act as a Geneticist. His role was to genetically modify humans to be able to survive on the Earths Atmosphere. He worked with a team of 10 in what used to be Egypt, being cut off from the rest of society. He worked for the project for three years until the project was inexplicably shut down in 2557. Praxis was the only remaining employee and he was in severe shock. His hair and eyes have been colored purple due to prolonged exposure to Earths Atmosphere, and his left foot has been blown off. He spent roughly 6 months in therapy until he was fit for work again at the beginning of 2558. The first thing he did after he left therapy was to get the hell off of Earth. He did several odd jobs [spoiler2]which we scrubbed from the Employment Record[/spoiler2] until began working for BioTech Solutions in late 2558. The company refuses to give us any records of Praxis's time on the station or his behavioral habits, but he was fired in the September of next year. He officially joined Nanotrasen in late October, and was assigned to the NSS Cyberiad on November 15th, 2559. Initially assigned as a Geneticist, Praxis quickly switched over the field of chemistry as a Pharmacist, where he began to excel. He is considered by many to be one of the best human chemists on the station. Praxis was promoted to Chief Medical Officer sometime early February, despite having no legal doctorate or official medical training. The main reason for this move was because due to a small period of time where the hired CMOs were incompetent/arrogant/uncooperative. Upon firing, Praxis was often the candidate for temporary CMO. After Praxis was forced to take upon the role of Temp CMO six times within a week, it was decided to make the position permanent. Praxis remained in this position of command for roughly two and a half months to moderate success. During this time period, Praxis disrupted NanoTrasens relations with the Grey species, after he began dating one of the transfer crew mates known as "Harmon". The Greys immediate noticed a performance drop from Harmon after she somehow arrived home running around the station in circles while drunkenly spurting out "GOTTA GO FAST" over and over again, only about 3 hours after she announced her intentions of dating Praxis. She has recently been transferred into a human body. Both of them are being watched. During early April, during a temporary contract termination on the NSS Cyberiad which caused its departments to split off into their own "Nations", Praxis suffered from a breakdown (The first one in four months) that led him to murder several members of service staff (though many eyewitness reports claim that the majority of the victims came to Praxis willingly and with full knowledge of his breakdown). [Clearence Ends] Qualifications: -Masters Degree in Biochemistry, qualifying him for: *Chemistry, Medicinal and Experimental *Genetics *Xenobotany *Xenobiology' *Virology -Due to his focus in medicinal sciences, he is qualified to act as a Nurse/Brig Physician, however is not [spoiler2]legally[/spoiler2] qualified to perform surgery or autopsies. -Officially promoted to CMO on February 2nd. Generally positive results. Employment Records: -The Milky Way Federation: 2554-2557 (Unknown) -BioTech Solutions: December 13th, 2558-September 23rd, 2559 (Fired) -NanoTrasen: November 15th, 2559-Present Security Records: -Several counts of tossing heavily radiated monkeys down disposals -Two counts of chemically creating hostile life-forms in the presence of security (and counting) -Several counts of distributing Meth and Ultra-Lube No instances of this behaviour within the past six months -Security Records missing from BioTech and The Milky Way Federation -Caught in a case of forgery after managing to grow hundreds of thousands of space dollars using botany for his girlfriends surgery. Space law does not specifically cover this, but the incident caught the attention of a major Grey Mothership. The case appears to have been settled. -Four counts of torture. murder, and slave trading; although all victims were willing and cooperative. The event was during a shift where all contracts have been terminated. Regardless, Praxis took a week long mandatory leave after the incident. Medical Records: -Suffers from PTSD; visits the station psychiatrist regularly and takes medicine for it. Watch for pupil dilation. -Left foot prosthesis -Hair and eyes discolored due to Earth atmosphere exposure -Smoking and drinking habits to reduce stress -Experiments lightly with several drugs for research purposes, such as meth, LSD, and Krokodil. No instance of this within the past six months. Personnel Photo (Appearance text): A skinny young adult looking in his mid to late 20's. He looks to be about 5'10. He has a Greek nose, thin lips, and dark circles under his eyes. He walks with a strange limp. V 2.0: Praxis is sort of at the place on the station that I want him to be at, and around this time I'll probably only be making really minor edits as he continues working. My original plan was to use several characters on SS13 and switch them around depending on what jobs are needed. However, Praxis has grown on me (mostly thanks to you guys), so me and him will continue to master chemistry. Thank you for sticking through with him as I develop him, and I'll see you all soon! Beforehand I was using the same character under the name Kevlo Glasser, who is a character I used elsewhere, but I changed it to avoid confusing myself. I made a few changes that MIGHT be contradictory to his previous actions or statements. But yeah, besides in game events, his backstory is finished unless I wanna edit some shit.
