  1. I really don't see a problem with any commonly used chemical names. An argument could be made that names of harder to obtain chemicals like fliptonium and corgium are too gimmicky, but IMO that's not really an issue.
  2. I don't like the sound of this at all.
  3. I don't think this would really solve the problem, to be honest. I don't think many people would want to risk limiting their antag candidacy and would leave it on regardless. IMO, limiting Operative Leader to accounts older than 30 or so days would help more.
  4. I like the sprites, although I'm not convinced the brig physician needs EVA gear at all.
  5. Maybe have working out produce a small amount of an adrenaline reagent, and make it give minor buffs while it's in the body?
  6. I don't really think any notification is necessary. You really should notice once you start gasping for breath.
  7. [something vaguely similar was suggested before.](viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2274&p=12457&hilit=bloodhound#p12457)
  8. It takes just over 20 seconds to become paralysed after injection. Then the paralysis will wear off in about 135 seconds. This is only for one dose, though. Both doses should paralyse for about double the time.
  9. It's not that ridiculous, I mean, if a spider bite punctured a hardsuit, you'd think it would no longer be able to protect against pressure damage.
  10. Perhaps not a visual indicator, but it might be a good idea to show their intent when they're examined.
  11. Maybe not remove them entirely, but certainly nerf them considerably. Currently all wizards really need to do is use one of these, wait for the crew to murder eachother, then teleport in.
  12. To be honest, I don't think these are quite as necessary as handheld crew monitors. Crew monitoring is much more dynamic than air alarms. By the time a paramedic gets to an injured person, they could have moved half way across the station. With air alarms, they're a bit more predictable. If you see an air alarm go off, it's likely to still be there by the time you get there. That said, it still might be nice to have them available from cargo or R&D.
  13. Personally, I'd suggest just adding a cooldown to the emag. Maybe a minute or two between uses? It would definitely discourage people emagging their way through a dozen doors to their objective. Edit: And this has already been suggested. That's what I get for not reading the whole thread.
  14. I really like the sound of this. Departmental Liaison, perhaps? Solves inter-departmental disputes and fosters co-operation between departments.
  15. I personally don't like Baystation's Forensive Console. It feels like an unnecessary additional step that just slows down a system that is already rarely fully utilized to begin with.
  16. I voted event because as a gamemode I think this may be too similar to blob, but it looks awesome nonetheless.
  17. This actually sounds better. People can vote for the event if they like them, otherwise have a normal crew transfer.
  18. Instead of almost every round that ending in a crew transfer at the 2 hour mark, I suggest we create Round-end Events. These would be like random events, but really deadly and only occur more than 1 hour 45 minutes into the round. I'd also suggest that the shuttle is automatically called as soon as one begins, or a centcomm announcement advises the crew to call the shuttle.
  19. I would suggest that all mechs are prevented from boarding the shuttle and the user gets a message like "Nanotrasen Mech Protocol forbids boarding of shuttles", unless the mech is emagged, in which case it can board.
  20. I've had a go at porting this, with reasonable success. It works a bit differently though, glands are a subtype of organ and messed with the teleporters a bit. I've got a few bugs to sort out, but I'll probably be done soon.
  21. I was working on a PR for a borer improvement a while ago. Basically my plan was that borers would infest their host in "stages". Initially they would have pretty much no control over the host, maybe only speaking to them, then as they invest more chemicals, they gain more powers. I might continue it if I have some free time.
  22. Honestly, I think ling tests need to get less accurate, not more accurate. Currently if an unlucky ling gets brigged for a minor crime on a ling round, chances are they'll be tested and intermediately executed.
  23. Correct me if I'm wrong, but your suggestion is to create a new currency specifically for vending machines? That seems a bit unnecessary and even more tedious than paying with your ID.
  24. I think this sounds like an interesting, but only for a server built primarily around this idea.
