  1. Holy shit what if there was a Grinch antag for Christmas and their weakness is actually hugs
  2. I used my time as a civilian to learn how to make stuff. Also, there's nothing stopping you from roleplaying with your fellow civilians.
  3. Look at it from the point of view from an end round griefer. That first time he blows up the shuttle without any repercussions he'll have that massive childish grin on his face and laugh his ass off. The 5th time it's not even remotely funny anymore. This counts for virtually any act. It stops being funny, and therefor the amount of effort put into end round griefing becomes less and less attractive. Yes, you'll have people reaching for crowbars and fire extinguishers, but they are usually robusted quite easily. That's my opinion any way.
  4. Are you saying Plasmamen should talk in wingdings?
  5. I'm not so much in favor of small dogs being rideable. Though I think it'd be cool if you could use the grab command on someone and then "equip" them in your backpack slot. It is technically possible to carry someone on your back after all.
  6. I think there's definitely room for improvement. Though I don't think rewarding people just for doing their job is the way to do it.
  7. My adventure mode in a nutshell: -Find rocks -Become legendary thrower -Kill ravens -Use ravens to kill enemies in encounters -Steal their silver equipment, drink their blood and feast on their flesh -Drink some of my salty hard earned sweat and tears -Murder night creature with silver equipment -Drink night creature blood -Butcher night creatures and eat their flesh -Walk into town to sell some stuff -Person becomes aggressive and kills me Best. Adventure game. Ever.
  8. "Da, is like son to me." -Vitaly Kovalenko
  9. I just always thought it was great to have a greasy kitchen stacked to the max with unhealthy food. ;D Science is usually pretty nice if the server isn't blobbed at any rate.
  10. Have all my yesses. The computer that's there now is indeed appalingly useless and underused.
  11. Earlier today I thought, why not use the resources of the garden and make an independent fast food restaurant? Sadly, it would appear you can't actually make a deep fryer because no circuit boards are available. So looking through the code, I found every kitchen machine is constructable with exception of deep fryers. So here's me suggesting the capability to build them be added. I modified the code of the microwave, using this and this, but I'm not sure if I'm missing anything. /obj/item/weapon/circuitboard/deepfryer name = "circuit board (Deep fryer)" build_path = /obj/machinery/cooker/deepfryer board_type = "machine" origin_tech = "programming=1" frame_desc = "Requires 1 Micro Laser, 2 pieces of cable and 1 Console Screen." req_components = list( /obj/item/weapon/stock_parts/micro_laser = 1, /obj/item/stack/cable_coil = 2, /obj/item/weapon/stock_parts/console_screen = 1)
  12. Today I came up with my own station super hero. He is the guardian of the victims of space slumber. He is the filler of the cryo room. He is the bringer of lost and found objects. He is... SSD man! Together with his trusty porky side-kick: Capitalism he fends for those who cannot fend for themselves. His tools of trade: Drunk brawling and horrible breath. SSD looters, beware!
  13. Welcome to Kovalenko Fried Chicken™ Our top seller: Deep fried meat sandwich. MEAT SO FRESH, IT BUTCHERED IN FRONT OF YOU.
  14. While I like the idea of having to consume something on a gasmask, part of me thinks that within the next 500 years they'll invent something better than charcoal to filter toxins. Just my two pence.
  15. Name: Vitaly Kovalenko Age: 52 Gender: Human Race: Male Blood Type: O- General Occupational Role(s): Security, medical, station fool and/or drunk Biography: This tired, grumpy old man has seen a lot in his time. While often hiding behind a faint smile, the emptiness in his eyes is quick to reveal just how much tragedy he's endured. Virtually found in the station bar on a daily basis, he can be seen drinking and smoking his demons away. Divorced and a father of five, he can occasionally get attached to people that remind him of his children. Sadly, being a belligerent drunk was no way to win custody and he's not seen most of his offspring in over two decades. A little known fact about him is that he despises everything about being in space, he's mainly here to be able to support his children. Vitaly's ancestry can be traced back to Russia, which is often made obvious as he matches the stereotype quite well. A fan of pratical jokes, and a broad sense of humour to boot, he's no stranger to fooling his fellow crew members which is one of the few things that keep his mind out of the floor. Qualifications: -Leadership - (as he's just very good at angrily yelling.) -Security training from a two week training course. It had very good instruction videos. -Medical training to adapt his makeshift training originally meant for treating uncle Dmitri's farm animals Employment Records: - 1/2 year in a command position. -7 years a member of the security force -3 years a junior surgeon in medbay Security Records: -Public indecency -Starting a brawl in the bar -Petty theft. Bar reports many bottles of hard liquor missing. Medical Records: "For god sake. I found mister Kovalenko in critical condition YET AGAIN because his liver gave in. Does this old man never learn? At least the old bastard keeps his sensors maxed." Personnel Photo (Appearance text): Commendations [only to be added by admin]: Reprimands [only to be added by admin]: Other Notes:
  16. Ever notice how medical seems to have many cool features later in the round apart from the ability to treat serious infections really quickly? Notice how often it ends up in one person using up all spaceacillin available, only to find out the person being treated is still infected? Well I sure have. So, I suggest the following item: "Robustacillin" Description: Advanced spaceacillin that can treat even the worst of infections. Also stops disease progression dead in its tracks. In-game description: Spacacillin's more robust cousin. Stops disease progression as long as it is in the bloodstream. A horribly punny wizard is quoted to have said: "For when you have ei'nath of infections." Rumors say it's so effective because it's too spicy for diseases. Recipe: 1pt spaceacillin, 1pt sterilizine, 1pt capsaicin I've managed to write the code for making the recipe as it is literally copy-paste. Not sure on the disease progression or infection code though as it's way too complicated for me. robustacillin name = "Robustacillin" id = "robustacillin" description = "Spacacillin's more robust cousin. Stops disease progression as long as it is in the bloodstream. A horribly punny wizard is quoted to have said: "For when you have ei'nath of infections." Rumors say it's so effective because it's too spicy for diseases." reagent_state = LIQUID color = "#A34545" on_mob_life(var/mob/living/M as mob) ..() return robustacillin name = "Robustacillin" id = "robustacillin" result = "robustacillin" required_reagents = list("spaceacillin" = 1, "sterilizine" = 1, "capsaicin" =1) result_amount = 3 mix_message = "The antibiotic solvent becomes noticably more robust in texture."
  17. Hello everyone. Due to regular players not really needing the wiki as often, outdated pages can go unnoticed. As a result someone that does have lacking knowledge can get extremely frustrated because they A. Don't know what to do. and B. The wiki page isn't answering their questions. So, please post here when you know of a page and/or information that is outdated/missing. People that frequently edit the wiki can then do a little research and update said outdated/missing pages. ======================================== Format: Page in question (optional): Role(s) involved (optional: Brief description of unclear/missing info: ========================================
  18. Added a bit about masks to the cultist magic page.
  19. Hello, I play Vitaly Kovalenko. I've seen you a few times. Welcome.
  20. That actually sounds pretty good as well.
  21. Ever get the objective to steal the captain or HoS's laser, or to steal the blueprints? Well shit, they go missing and the manhunt immediately begins. Why not as an optional item give agents access to fakes that they can replace their objectives with in order to not raise suspicion? Nuke ops? What? No worries! I have the fukken disk right here. *Insert whatthefuckboom* [*] The Captain / the HoS' laser. The fake does exactly what the original does, except for it does absolutely no damage and is nothing but a fancy flashlight. [*] The blueprint of the station. The blueprints get opened and instead of a detailed map of the station, it's a random ASCII face [*] The nuclear authentication disk. Looks just like the real thing, except for it gives an electric (mild) shock to whoever is unfortunate enough to shove it into a nuke.
  22. I don't think that should be possible...
