  1. Have the clown shoes slip on any item lying on the floor as if it were super lube.

  2. And that's why I dislike the way we treat code red. I want it to be easier to access, but make it less desirable. Going to code red right now cancels all the automated traffic anouncments in chat. Which means that there's probably a sort of SoP prohibiting space travel around a Code Red station. Expand that to Cargo, as TDS said. Forbid all EVA during code red, forbid miners and engineers to move to/from their outposts, have departments be put under curfew, any non-sec that's caught in the hallways gets in trouble. Enforce actual random searches, rather than pretending to randomly search people, while you just round up some suspect. Make Code Red an actually serious event, instead of "We saw an Emag, keep doing your stuff while those lights flash red, it doesn't actually mean anything" Make it hell for every department, so people only initiate it when it's actually neccesary. That's why I also think it should be harder to cancel. Because it just IS such a serious situation. It'd also make Central Command more likely to assemble an actually useful ERT if code red carries an actual weight besides brightly colored lights flashing up.

  3. Hey fellas, my name is Jasdeep Singh, and I am new to this station. I played CM a lot, and now I play on this station. This server is pretty fun, and its enjoyable, way different from CM with the maturity and such. I enjoy it a lot

  4. I like how you can actually see your skills improve slightly as you draw more art. I wish I could do stuff like that, but I can barely hold a pencil...

  5. Coding Difficulty: Easy Scope: Small Balance Issues: None Why: As a Detective I feel it would be more convenient to have a universal recorder and a box of tapes start in their cabinet, much like the NT Rep does.

  6. I forgot to upload this until now. A good few shifts ago, I started making this hell at escape on a green alert end-of-shift shuttle call, and a few people, including the CE, saw and started helping out, which led to me being able to make it as big as it was in time. It was fun.

  7. Coding Difficulty: Extremely easy. Scope: small change Balance: Prisoners can leave their cell when they finish their time Why: In case no one is available to take the prisoner my explanation: the button opens when the time ends, the blast door closes after a while (like normal doors)

  8. Here's a more mechanical reason this can't fly. The grilles between the lobby and cells is shocked. When someone's attempting to break out it can sometimes go unnoticed when the brig is busy. The repeated sound of shocks once you get to the grille help let security know when you are breaking out. Plus can kill you if you aren't an antag with self healing abilities. With this new setup you are one windoor away from freedom. People who are both antags and non antags try to break out frequently, far more frequently than people accidentally get left in the brig for an extra few minutes after thier sentence is up. If you want to argue sec needs to do a better job watching prisoners, work sec for a few hundred hours and you'll see that sometimes its just too busy. Or too much of sec is dead. Especially when you frequently have non antags pushing the limits of nearly self antagging added on top of the actual antags chaos, and criminals who will literally kill themself because they can't wait the 5 minutes for thier sentence to be up.

  9. Honestly this probably will just make officers ignore prisoners even more than already happens since then they don't have to be responsible for the people they've arrested. It just feels like it would encourage officers to neglect/ignore prisoners because "the cells will let them out automatically anyways"

  10. Synthetica would be more of an identify of synthetics, their "Glory to Synthetica" would be like "Glory to Humanity"

  11. If there's no officer monitoring the area to release them, then there's also no officer there to stop them smashing the glass door open and pressing the button. It would be better to just hook the blast doors directly into the cell timer if you wanted to do this, but a dedicated one way door would be the superior option, like turnstyles in Oracle Genpop

  12. make the clown shoes slip HARDER because THAT shit is funny

  13. Absolutely not. Clowns are meant to tell jokes and amuse the crew. Slipping themselves is funny, and serves that. Slipping everyone else whilst being immune to slips themselves.... does not. Hell, I'd go as far as to say that the clown's slip abilities should be nerfed from what they are now - to make them focus on trying to amuse the crew in creative ways, rather than, as is all too common currently, simply being jerks and slipping everyone they can.

  14. People who go about thier normal business when there is a dangerous threat on the station because "thats what always happens" or "its normal" then cry endlessly when they become collateral damage for getting in the way because whatever they were doing was interrupted. Also both sec and antags (hell even other players) who play as hard as possible constantly and then cry that rounds are boring while failing to realize that thier inability take it easy for the sake of the round led to the it being boring.

  15. Hi all! I'm Sonador, and I'm sure a few of you have heard I have quite a storied history in SS13. I'm a former administrator for Baystation 12, Thrice the host of the Vinesauce SS13 servers (now defunct), former administrator on Hippie Station, may Space Jesus rest its soul, and now more or less a regular here. I deeply enjoy the slower gameplay on Paradise and have already had major positive interactions with the community and administration, and look forward to seeing development continue and the community remain healthy! You can usually see me playing as my characters Mizuki Hirasawa, Alexander Privost, Mertisi Andavel, and Felis Andavel. I dabble in creative activites now and again, most of which are viewable on my personal webpage, http://beigelands.com. I've had history in other game communities, such as Garry's Mod, Counter-Strike 1.6, and many, many others. Nice to meet you all, and I look forward to seeing you on-station!

  17. If people actually took it seriously, Code Red would essentially shut the station down into a full-on police state/martial law situation. Which would be effective if it somehow didn't cause half the server to riot since everyone has an inner graytider in 'em. But more importantly, Code Red is to be initiated when there is a certain threat to the station, which can range anywhere from nuclear operatives to a single traitor with a stetchkin hiding in maintenance. Both are equally valid threats in the eyes of SoP but the latter shouldn't enforce such an iron grip on the station and its going-ons. It would stifle the round for anyone who isn't Security, and personally I don't want to be forced to sit in my closet for an hour as janitor. Speaking of nuke ops, the suggested idea of affecting cargo would mean you can't have Code Red and order guns for the crew to defend itself at the same time. Just a thought. Personally, I would rearrange the alert levels some. Maybe add in a new Code Yellow to take the place of the current Code Red (there is a threat to the station), and bump Code Red up to this more extreme "martial law" state (there is a threat to the station forcing an immediate state of emergency)?

  18. Title of Event: Reality TV Madness Pretense: Greetings NSS Cyberiad. We are happy to announce that you have been sold by Nanotrasen to one of its sister companies, EntertainCorp. EntertainCorp is the leading producer of reality TV shows, holodramas, soap operas and many other exciting entertainment products. And you, yes you have been selected as the subject of our newest reality TV show, called 'A hundred monkeys and a very small metal box in hard vacuum'. Don't worry about the name, we have to draw in the viewers somehow. For now, just go about your day while we watch and record. We will occasionally send you orders either via fax, announcements or even secretly per PDA messages, to make things interesting. You are to follow those orders to the letter. Your contracts with Nanotrasen carry over, including the execution clauses. Also, did we mention you can all win fabulous prices if you entertain our viewers? Equipment Necessary: A few prices for the crew to win. Briefcases of cash, stuffed toys, dangerous weapons and space suits. Anything, really. Maybe also spawn a 'moderator' with a tape recorder and all-access ID to come aboard and interview people for the viewers. Plot: The station is being turned into a giant reality TV show. The admins should give the crew and station orders via fax, CC announcement or PDA messages. Things like 'we want the captain to heroically lead the attack on the blob, it would look really nice to see him lead the security forces. Oh and no pesky helmets please, we want the viewers to see the faces of their heroes'. Or 'each department must keep their pet alive while stealing the pets of the other departments, whoever wins gets a box with prices'. 'We want to show our viewers a duel between you and X, go challenge him' sent via PDA to someone. Basically, just have the 'producers' create drama and tension for their viewers, without care for what it does for the actual running of the station. Prize for Completion: People that impress the viewers and follow orders get rewarded with cash, diamons, stuffed animals and dangerous weapons and gear. Custom Sprites/OGG's None
