Nah, just a bit of damage. Buuuut... if you put enough mouse traps, a bit of damage after a bit of damage will eventually break the hand, honk.

But you need to find an exceptional idiot to make him fall into the same trap 7 times. Actually that might be the easy part of the plan.

Just tried this with a full bag of traps, an angry HoP with no gloves, and a Championship belt, he went all the way.

Didn't break his hands though :(

Half the time I'm arrested recently, almost always for non violent things (blocking sec doorways with vending machines, decorating a room with blood from a monkey human, stealing the boozeomat) Sec sees fit to put me to sleep for ages, can't exactly defend my self if I'm unconscious on and off.

I'd be understandable if they only did it with murderers and the like but its happening every other time now.

Is it possible to ID lock the sleeper or something? Brig physicians tend to use it much more responsibly.

Of course mousetraps are useful. Security starts with no gloves, so if they search the janitor and he caaasually has an armed mousetrap in his bag...... *SNAP* fingers broken, officer pissed, #worthit.

Does it actually break their fingers or just do minor brute damage?

If it actually breaks bones I'm totally filling my bag with them every single round.

Woah woah woah, all I did was say "something really really bad would happen" and that you would regret it, most people do generally regret breathing in hallucination gas, right? I don't how you can pass that off as "death threats".

That's still no real excuse for drugging me to the extent you did, which was why I popped out of the sleeper so you didn't drug me further, standing perfectly still (long term incapacitation does that).

That you also broke my bones (not just my skull, legs too, surgeon had to fix them) almost killed me by removing my internals, and topped it off by trying to overrule the magistrate by demanding I serve time in solitary before having my bleeding wounds attended to to secured your place as one I will try to avoid.

But lets not crap up the thread with personal dramas.

Sometimes playing as a Vox will get you preferential treatment as the crew try to pander to your alien ways.

Other times, it gets you pumped full of sleep toxin, choked half to death, and all your limbs broken for flooding a hallway with monkeys.

Some sec officers... really hate monkeys?

Eh, I managed to kill a botanist that way by exposing his workplace to space, it's all about positioning, use a fuel tank with it if you are not content. Not to mention how easy traitor scientist is.

YOU HAVE A FUCKTON OF DANGEROUS TOYS, WHY DON'T YOU TRY THE OTHER.

Besides, if you are clever enough you will need ones that take down walls but don't remove the floor exposing it to space.

Toxins is fun, you just have to use it the right way to adapt to your goals, that or just make more and place them at key points, people don't look in maintenance too much anyways... blitzkrieging it would be nice if mayhem is your intent.

    But... Bigger booms!

To be honest, I'd just like to see both surgeries taken out with one explosion...

That said, more ways to acquire transfer valves outside of ordering them from cargo would be an acceptable substitute.

The point is - you don't need more powerful explosions. It's just an excuse to grief. You don't want to kill half of a department, because there's too much collateral damage.

Not if you have the (fairly common) escape alone objective, which is usually the only legitimate reason to bomb places in the first place.

No need to have even more bomb-related bans for blowing up half the station.

No, seriously, I am tired of this whole antag bombing affair. It just fucks up the game. There's a special rule even.

People barely ever use bombs though, at least I barely ever see them used.

That is if you don't count fuel tank explosions.

Its pretty low ATM, 3 7 14, that's just big enough to wreck one wing of the station if placed in the right spot, and its makable within 5 minutes of round start.

Nobody wants the station destroyed every other round by server killing bombs, but could we have some bigger booms?

So few players even bother with toxins mixing, it'd just be nice for it to be more... rewarding.

The current max explosion will just expose a handful of tiles to space, gib anyone next to it, and blast some holes in close by walls, it'd be so much better if it was just slightly larger.

I think a better option would be just limit the number of hardsuits (two in EVA, one or two in secure storage, maybe make EVA CE access only) and give engineering soft suits instead.

Because in all honesty, a "hard" suit offering less protection than some wool and cotton is just unbalanced in favour of security (who never have their armours nerfed I've noticed).

Making the hardsuits rarer and harder to actually aquire would adequately justify their value in combat no? Especially since engineers are always the ones who end up going up against the likes of space carp/xenomorphs/blobs.

Too many damn times have I been given away by my victim pointing at me whilst they're cuffed and gagged.

This is especially annoying when we're in pitch darkness.

People who are restrained shouldn't be able to spam point IMO.

Detective playing super cop? asshole sentencing (max time, EVERYTIME)? Jumping to any and all conclusions and ignoring due process entirely?

That stuff really should be ahelpable, power tripping dicks ruin far too many rounds.

Sec is essential for dealing antags and greytide... but damn they've really sunk to a new low recently, they don't even expect any evidence anymore, if someone thinks they saw something you're guilty as sin straight off.

Hey there, I was the guy who was arrested and ultimately dismembered by the combat mech.

Just to clarify, the grenade was in fact a non lethal gas one containing unstable mutagen.

I was arrested after tampering with an APC outside of the bar, I mentioned I was carrying a "mine" ("for research purposes" saying you just made it for "testing" usually works, not this time though).

I actually served the original full 20 minute sentence for having the grenade on me before the officer who arrested me in the first place (Stephanie something or other) decided I wasn't allowed to leave for some reason.

Things kind of escalated from there, largely due to very poor communication on sec's part, I was bigged, released, re-brigged , I ahelped asking if sec were right to do so, since I was an antag afterall they did kind of have an excuse (albeit one they had no idea they had), that went out the window however when the shuttle was finally called and it was decided I was to be executed for "attempted grand sabotage".

The reason I was carrying the contraband in the first place (non lethal gas grenade and some uranium for causing EMPS, no explosions involved at all, as I fervently yelled innumerable times as I was re-brigged for "bomb making") was because I was in fact a traitor who had completed his steal objective 5 minutes into the round and wanted to have some insurance in case I was detected.

There must have been a severe case of Chinese whispers going on since by the end everyone except the warden, who was the only one who seemed to pay any attention to what was actually being said, seemed to think I was carrying around a doomsday device.

Or maybe sec that round were just especially eager to have an excuse to drill people to death with a combat mech for whatever Freudian reason.

TLDR: I got caught with some mildly dangerous contraband and sec manages to classify it as a capital offence.

Its typical shitcurity, sec got way more leeway than they would have normally since I was a traitor, and they still managed to cross the line, crushing limbs off for a medium tier crime is a pretty blatant way to break rule 14.

You can't really expect to be treated tactfully if that's the sort of behaviour you're engaging in IMO.
