  1. Just to give a short reply regarding the question of the OP. There is little chance we will ever allow people to steal antag objectives when they are not an antag. If they want to do such a thing they can easily request admin permission to do it if their reason is good enough. Consider that part of this thread off the table unless a head wakes up and says otherwise. I am however all for discussing ways to make theft objectives more interesting so I will leave the thread open as long as the discussion doesn't get heated.
  2. Just gonna put this out here, I'm to tired to form a coherent opinion on this but I do know some coding facts and I'd like to take down expectations on one single thing. Increasing or dreasing movespeed "slightly" is impossible because of how move speed works. A slower heavier borg might be nice but a faster one becomes an issue because of this move speed issue. A faster borg would essentially run around at the same speed overloaded gygax's, oddyseus's, meth abusers and pods move around with. This is way to fast for normal gameplay and will put borgs at a huge advantage compared to antags. Or any other being.
  3. Im going to be hard here and state that we are activly looking for ways to change drones but none of those ways include buffing them in any way. Furthermore we have had a case where we ported an AI module from another server and accidentally ported their drone laws as well, this switched the first and second law. This created so many issues it was quickly noticed and reverted. We will never under any circumstance allow drones to interact with other beings more than the bare minimum by fulfilling a similiar purpose like repairing or maintaining the station. Any case mentioned here of bringing materials to people or messaging the AI means you're taking a severe risk of getting permanently banned from drones or cyborg positions. (drones Pai's borgs and the AI) As a result the only suggestions here that are completly feasable following the scope we have for drones are 3 and 5 where 5 might be changed into just improving the matter decompiler for simple trash items. Also 2 but as an extended variety of items the mag gripper can pick up, not every item. On a sidenote, please stay on topic and follow basic ettiquette. We are watching ?.
  4. Still better than my actual nonexistent love life. *has an exsistential crisis about reading his own fanfic*
  5. *covers all of their veins, yes all of them*
  6. The main issue with species diversity and that whole pr was that if you want to correctly diversify a race you should make it diverse to everyone. The pr in question added something that could have annoyed people playing the race while not diversifying the race in any way towards say a human perspective towards the vulp/taj/whatever. I am not going to start the argument again but please when you make a pr ask yourself the question "does this actually change the race from a third perspective or is the change purely cosmetic and only accessible by the singular person playing the character?"
  7. That is some good looking art!
  8. It's fine to discuss this by all means, I'm just stating beforehand that there isn't an easy solution to the problem. atleast not one that is going to be implemented any time soon. it might help shed some light on security issues and ethics though.
  9. Look I know that this might seem iffy to some but... there are a lot of ways for an admin to be malicious which is why we go through the process of picking people who don't show maliciousness at all. as I was just told if someone wanted to they could attach something malicious to an .ogg file and just globally play it. As for the issue as far as I hear it is not possible to make a prompt because the box allows code or something.
  10. This may sound harsh but if you do not trust the admins with the capability to send links like this it is probably time to find another server.
  11. Or we could just leave a few things for people to explain for their own character
  12. Fact of the matter is that this can be fixed icly. Either fly around it. Pda a cargotech or ask over the radio if a shuttle is coming. Death is a part of the game and you -should- feel much more cautious in space. If you still die, to bad better luck next time.
  13. Or you could just memorize the location of the shuttles and watch where you're flying. That big of a rod frame will look ugly.
  14. Psyentific you are assuming a lot there.
  15. I am entirely for aestetic sunglasses. It's probably easy to add so I might try and make a PR for it as well but that will be for a later day unless someone else is earlier.

    More Hyposprays

Stabalising a patient means they are in critical which means there SHOULD be a good chance that they die before you can heal them. Please remember that this is a roleplaying game and that dieing is and should be a part of it.
  17. Soooooo heres my small post on this whole subject after skimming over it (I am a busy man ok) I think the main issue here is people that feel like tasers are OP against normal crewmembers, Yes, They are. Security isn't your enemy, the antags are. if you don't commit crimes security being on your arse won't be that common. If you do commit crimes it is your choise to get your ass handed to you. Trust me when I say this, nerfing security isn't a good idea, improving the behavior of certain security players is. I've seen the effects of nerfing myself. It doesn't just affect the behavior of security officers. Back then when the nerf was in place we would have players who were technically within the rules but who were constantly causing shit on the station every single shift. They were to robust for most sec officers to catch, usually relied on makeshift stuff to be a littlebit stronger and only caused shit in an unfunny way. (not so much slippy proxmine in the closet as much as it was disarming a sec officer and stealing all their shit every shift)
  18. Yes conflict, Sacrifice, The will to go on or the will to escape! all of it is there with the nuke. As for shadeykinds as far as I am aware manual detonation of the nuke has never been a thing and it shouldn't be, that would be a major griefing tool and as much as I feel like the nuke should happen more often in these desperate cases I also feel like it shouldn't be entirely up to the crew. Disarming isn't a good idea either, a set nuke should be a huge danger and currently the fact that you can only get rid of it by slowly cutting it loose and then spacing it doesn't just make it hard but it also poses a threat in the form of accidentally having it end up on the asteroid.
  19. I think that can be fixed by deviding the end the round staff over the must win staff by making the nuke a minor loss instead of a minor victory
  20. I've been thinking about the nuke lately and its removal from the xeno/blob events/gamemodes. The pros to this removal is that both gamemodes don't have an end round button that can feel sort of unfair towards the antags. (In a minor way because the crew doesn't exacly win doing this either) My main issue with this is that the nuke took a lot of roleplay with it when it was moved to being admin only. I really liked the moments from the past where the heads would be sided on the decision between fighting the ever growing enemy more in the hopes of winning or using the nuke to sacrifice the station for the greater good. The creation of different teams where people would split between going to fight to the bitter end while others worked on getting the nuke set and evacuating. Not to forget the feeling when you are the chosen person to set it and you have to make a daring escape because the AI is putting the station in quarantine.
  21. You may want to make a poll like this a -bit- longer than 1 day, I'd say a week is propper.
  22. You just basically suggested an immortal mob that is also a reference to a niche thing. Please no.
  23. That would still mean a big change to the way these gamemodes work. In a way that exchanges something that already works for something that may not.
