  1. I agree that the inability to do this basically crippled the wanted issue's purpose. Thus boop.
  2. I love these guides for RP roles. One mechanical thing I'd like to point out, if people don't know, is that the IAA has full access to the security newscaster, meaning they have access to delist feeds and censor articles. Thus, an IAA journalist basically has immunity to write anything, as long as they're not jailed, and also can shutdown other people's feeds with almost impunity because command generally doesn't generally care if somebody gets delisted as far as I've experienced. Also it's important to note that you can only create one feed, and if you get delisted, you've lost your one newsfeed allocation. So, don't post butts in your otherwise serious newspaper. (Also, don't make posting public for your newsfeed, you can't undo that or delete other people's posts, unless your security or an IAA.) Edit: The Captain, HoP, blueshield, and NT Rep also get a security newscaster, so the paragraph about censoring access applies to them too.
  3. I didn't forget about this! After much thought, I decided that the area was better served as proper maintenance area, as it technically was before my previous change.   6. Yeah, the RD (and thus science, by the logic we're using) already has Lamarr. Cargo can order their own pet on a whim, so I've never been too worried about that. Also, it would probably be sucked onto a belt and spaced or something if they had one.
  7. I only correct people when they call SERAPH male just to be ironic. Like I actually give a shit, there's no real defining feminine characteristics on the sprite. I've never seen a male IPC without being 90% covered to check, but I imagine it's not toooooo different. Hell, there's barely any sprite difference between male and female humans, let alone IPCs. I imagine the voices vary between IPC's, which is the only place it would come into play, if at all, of course.

  9. Most headwear that's even slightly formfitting clips through IPC heads, as they have no custom item sprites. *shrug
  10. It's because it was incorrectly mapped as being part of a distant maintenance area before, yes. Half the things in the room already called it starboard emergency storage, so I changed the actual area to that since nobody ever responded to what it was supposed to be at the time. It could be changed to a new maintenance area if people overwhelmingly would prefer that.
  11. LSD indeed has no overdose or addiction rate, nor side effects, beyond the hallucination stacking.
  12. Yeah, you have to somehow work it into an almost natural sentence, although of course experienced players will spot it from a mile away. "Man, I sure could some hospitality and a doctor's delight. I've heard that guy from virology can make them!"
  13. There are still spontaneous protests about once a month due to comdomry, or just people self-antagging, etc and it would still be nice to have a place to hold at least 10 people or so. I'm not sure I understand this since it's objectively smaller and less furnished (steel chair instead of a bed) than a normal brig cell, while having a window to the lobby equivalent to Block A's cell 1 & 2. The AI can let out released prisoners if they're overrun and there isn't a warden. (If there isn't either, the round is probably low population, and then there's rarely more than 1 or 2 active criminals at a time). All of the other points for the design seem to be centered around the warden not paying attention or security forgetting to process people, which does unfortunately happen sometimes, so I'm not sure what my opinion on those points are. I do agree that the old design was wasteful space-wise with the useless bathroom and massive north part that didn't have a real (at least, used) purpose, and that it had poor visibility. What would people think of a compromise of the two uses of the area, in which you used your proposed revised design, but with the cells being expanded to 3x3 so there's a combined 18 (16, if accounting for lockers) squares of space in the cells, accounting for a small-moderate riot, while still giving two separate holding cells?
  14. I agree, and if the boss isn't doing anything about it, that's partially what the IAA or NT Rep (as appropriate to the situation) is for to nudge proper civil action.

Without looking at the code, I can say with 90% confidence that posibrains having binary speak in the first place was snowflaked in, it would have nothing to do with borgs, as most borgs do not have posibrains (in fact you would have to pick android as your alternative title to spawn with one).

  19. I'm pretty sure this thread is in direct response to all the other races getting massive recent updates with a million sprite variants. Pardon me, but. Such as? Most of the things I can think of have to do with parity to other existing races. Apologies beforehand if this ends up sounding antagonistic.
