  1. We've already got those, had 'em for years, they're in code as Police Batons. There's usually one in the Derelict armory.
  2. Something like Donutstation, with the engine in the middle? Guaranteed catastrophe if the engine goes wrong, no safe direction it can meander off to.
  3. please god no Shitposting aside, I think the reason we don't have full-body augments available by default is because, if knowledge serves, stuff like cyborg torsos and so on actually provide significant damage reduction to the person. Like, Gunther Hermann augs. So, being the sort of person who powergames his characters blood types, I'd totally get some of that sweet built-in DR and so would lots and lots of people. Internal organs would probably be fine though. We've already got hearts and eyes, not much aside from code stopping us from getting iron lungs, and I don't think there's any other internal organs of consequence aside from brain.
  4. Asshole Wizard vs Asshole Wizard, possibly with Friendly Brozard caught up in the middle. Amazing. There's even assets for this already in-game - red and blue magus armor & robes, plus the touhou costume.
  5. You could probably crawl through old suggestions threads for that, or just make a minor job megathread.
  6. A new map would be the best solution, but as everyone has pointed out that would be a lot of work. I'm basically posting under the assumption that, while it'd be the best solution, the sheer scale of manpower and effort needed makes it not really viable. It is absolutely a community-scale project, and I don't know how many mappers Paradise has, let alone if they'd all be willing and able to work together on a fresh station. For building a fresh map from scratch in a reasonable amount of time, you're probably gonna need all of them.
  7. >Traffic Cop as karma job for 5 karma >Has an office and a tiny brig cell made out of the Arrivals checkpoint >One minute in the cell for each count of traffic violation Fund it
  8. Not so long ago, there was a man named Nikita Khrushchev. As the legend goes, Mister Khrushchev was at the United Nations attending a meeting, during which the Filipino ambassador was to give a speech. During this speech, however, Mister Khrushchev got so angry as to take off one of his shoes and bang it on his desk. This, in turn, became a symbol of just how batshit-crazy Soviet Russia had gone. Now, intrepid citizens of the NSS Cyberiad, I ask you. Have you ever gotten so mad that you could bang your shoes on a table? Of course you have! Could you? Of course you couldn't! The code does not have any unique interactions between the various types of shoes and tables! You just put them on the table! THIS MUST BE FIXED
  9. It's not uncommon for parastation hallways to have a traffic problem, through sheer volume of spacemen. I've seen an actual traffic jam, I've seen 7 out of 12 tiles filled with some kind of spaceman, and in general the hallways are quite busy. I suggest drawing arrows on the floor tiles in the main hallways. Right side of the hall moves one way, left side moves the other, with a passing/cargo lane in the middle, except in space-britain where the right side moves the other way and the left side moves one way. Make obeying space-traffic laws part of Space Law, and get Security to hand out tickets to people who don't follow them.
  10. Metastation is probably the best option aside from making an entire new map, which is a *lot* of work. To date, I know of exactly three servers that run a unique map; goon, who do their own thing, bay, who have a spaceship they made as a long-running project, and LLA, who have this grid-like design but they're a dedserber so . Meta is designed for 70-100 player rounds, it functions well with 50, but starts to feel empty around 30-40. Sounds about right for Paradise's population numbers, no? On the plus side, don't need to do all the work of making a new map from scratch, but downside is you'll almost certainly need to modernize it (double airlocks, etc.) and add para-unique features (podbays, karma job places, etc.)
  11. Oh man, now that's a dank meme. I'm stealing that.
  12. Fluke Op Bundle: A box containing: 1x Syndicate blood-red hardsuit w/ helmet 1x Agent ID 1x C-20r SMG w/ spare magazine 1x Energy Shield 1x Pinpointer 1x Nuclear Authentication Code (for the wrong station) Does not contain an emag.
  13. fam if you want to play a GITS style cyborg you can just roll human and select everything as a cyborg part.
  14. Can confirm, was captain, this didn't end well. The Blueshield got into a pissing match with Security, among other things.
  15. >100 karma >for anything the only people who can afford this are community oldfarts who have too much karma to throw around tbh. even 50 karma is silly high. why not just make races a blanket 15 karma?
  16. >Slime Escape We have that, it's called the Wormhole event.
  17. The base problem seems to originate from a combination of rules and code. That is, that by pararules, antags must keep to their objectives, but as a general ss13-wide principle, antag objectives are kinda mediocre and long-outdated. Hence, we have dumb shit like 'Kill this guy' when we could have fun shit like 'Steal six right legs', or something stylish like 'Kill this guy with his job equipment and make a one-liner' You can address this either way tbh, either make some fun objectives or give antags the freedom to do w/e they want (within reason).
  18. Cargo could really use this announcement. Not even antag stuff, just to keep the QM and Cargo Techs on the ball.
  19. well, yes, but then again everything on the research outpost is free for the taking because it's basically a forgotten secret clubhouse created for xenoarch which was half-finished and forgotten way back in 201X when i first played para
  20. Except to change an APC you need ins. gloves. Shit a Civvie is not probably gonna have, not legit ones anyway. So if you're an eingeer or work in Cargo you.... frankly can just get them no problem. And... also have way better alternatives like... flamethrowers or ordering a murder crate. Still a very far cry from a "Widespread problem everyone is abusing" as is being claimed. Problem - for one, Flammenwerfers need a plasma tank, which is not only a steal objective (ie marks you valid), it's also sourced from only toxins, atmospherics, or engineering secure storage. All of which are pretty priority areas for a breakin response. Flamers are also pretty shit, they tend to light the user on fire just as much as the target, good for area denial, piss poor for anything else. And a syndicate crate assumes you're traitor, which isn't really good for purposes of discussion considering that most antags have access to better stuns than a prod. I'd like to see prods backfiring because, one, that'd be fucking hilarious and two, they're the most reliable weapon available to the average crewman and I'd like to see them shifted into a backup weapon rather than a proper fightstick. The upthread suggestion about insulated gloves bringing the backfire down to negligible is actually a really nice one, because stunprods are engineering's go-to departmental weapon and stealth-nerfs are never really cool.
