  1. Its a bad idea from a gameplay perspective, as the greytide or just antag looking to cause mischief will just disposal the food. A better concept is around having a fillable trash can that the janitor can come around and empty.
  2. (NTSL is the Telecomms scripting language) You're thinking of DM code, DM is actually surprisingly easy to pick up. My recommendation is to learn how to do it yourself, but feel free to ask questions on the #coder_chat, myself or if you're lucky, someone from the actual coding team will help.
  3. Black gloves should be scarce similar to Insulated, due to their ability to hide prints, aka why you can't just have them in loadouts etc. But, it makes sense to be able to order them somehow. Is the firefighting crate the right place? I'm not certain. edit: Also I just put up a PR enabling those to be printed now, @tzo - so thats more we can tick off the list.

  5. I'm with FPK here, why not contact them directly. Alternatively, add the functionality to the newscasters... I don't want to see yet another machine littering the station.

  9. Do they need to be constructible? I could just make them wrenchable / movable? I'm already skeptical about creating things that come with reagents in them like the water-cooler does. Another example being the welding tools get autolathed full of fuel somehow.
  10. @Fox McCloud absolutely - all the proposed things above make sense to be producible though. I don't think anyone would ever advocate for more things like gravity generators or telebatons.

Probably requiring metal rods and... duct tape? https://github.com/ParadiseSS13/Paradise/pull/7609 is on Github right now which makes them break after 2000 steps... with this new mechanic implemented, it'd be easy for us to add some shoddy splints with only 1000 steps before breaking. Also a sprite for 'used splints' would be sweet, for when these things to pop off... wouldn't need to be different from shoddy or non-shoddy. Just a used up looking one.

  14. I had a very similar idea, but never actually got around to it. Noise is a great way to add to the atmosphere of the station. (geddit?) Light switches, and regular switches. The particle accelerator (would be good to have increasing types of audio dependent on the level. Departmental tape placement & removal.

  16. Thats a question for the maintainers / Alffd. But i'd love to have one soon, so any issues that arrise I can fix them sooner rather than later... but the speed of which things move through Github is slower than many would like. In an ideal world where we had 3 maps or so, at round-end (maybe when the shuttle departs the station) it calls a vote similar to the round-end shuttle call vote.
  17. Or we add a system that allows for only single purchases of specific items. Which'd be easy enough to do, and sensible enough we should probably consider implementing anyway.

  19. I've now fixed 60-ish separate issue reports on Metastation, and fixed/tweaked loads more. I've improved the brig by: Adding two more cells, bringing the total up to 5 Adding a processing area. Add the gamma armory Improves the common area / kitchen Improves the brig doc's office I've now completely torn out Medbay and redid it from scratch. I recommend opening both of these and tabbing back and forth Old Medbay New Medbay The idea and things added: Retain the externally 'mirror'ed elements of Medbay and Science (lobby in the same place, etc) Add additional routes into Medbay Nuke surgery from orbit and start over Shrink CMO office and give up some of the valuable real estate space Add a Paramedic's office Give the Coroner direct access to cloning, so he can manage cloning when he has no bodies to deal with. ----- So where does that leave us? Well, we can't keep calling Metastation Metastation. We call Boxstation the NSS Cyberiad, so lets give Metastation a proper name. Lets break a metaphorical bottle of champagne across its bow and christen it. (you can vote for as many or as few as you like) VOTE HERE ----- Other comments and thoughts appreciated here.   20. Are you sure on this one? @tzo's PR a few months back should have fixed that? If so we'll need to look at that code again. This pretty much, blob will be getting a /significant/ buff with Alffdmospherics implemented.
  21. So this should totally exist. However, I'm not personally capable of creating this mini-game as designed above by @TullyBBurnalot. Can we brainstorm alternate ways/tasks? My initial thought was around licence plate printing like the for-profit American prison system so famously does currently.They'd have to input the digits manually, then insert it for review and point allocation. (and would then be bundle-able for cargo to ship off). This also allows for edge-lords to just create hundreds of PENIS licence plates as an act of rebellion, (and no points). Theres probably a better idea out there, but feedback welcome.

  23. @Fox McCloud Mmm an interesting summary of Goon mining - something I had no experience with. As for Lavaland is there anyone actively working on this? My understanding was 'no'... It is an enormous undertaking - perhaps we could work this out logically, run it as a proper project with multiple contributors working in tandem?
