  1. By the grace of the Mountain King, Avuz Tosedonul, blessed be his name as he resides on his throne, the Familial Ceilings shall celebrate its 100th year of glory by expanding its borders outward, striking the earth beyond the horizon like never before.

The site for the creation of the grand fortress of Ikengatrid has been selected by the greatest of the Ceiling's scouts, riverside in a thick forest. The smell of iron and coal hangs about the air, even as the waters abound with fish and the land with meat. Here, a new home for dwarfkind will stand, a marker of our greatness and glory for centuries to come.

If you have received this letter, noble kin, you have been personally selected by the King's scribes to embark on this journey, and prepare for the coming of further colonists. Your task is simple: settle, and expand. Soon, the Mountain King himself shall visit you, and stake his full claim to Ikengatrid.

Go forth, noble kin, and do the Mountain King proud.

    Signed,

    Cilob Silkubuk, Royal Scribe

    SOD THIS, BLOODY CUNTS!

  2. The situation surrounding the logs, the logs themselves, and the context around them, were discussed in-depth not only by the three active Heads of Staff, but also by the Staff at large; everyone agreed on the course of action taken.

We are unaware of how exactly Necaladun "took the bullet" for someone they barely knew to begin with, but much like the original appeal, this Complaint comes across only as a means of furthering speculation on some form of conspiratorial web designed to kick you out because someone didn't like you.

Untrue. You were banned because of your own actions, and you would do well to reflect on that rather than deflect things back at others.

    Complaint is without merit. Filing.

You claim that I threaten an admin complaint. I said that I WILL make an admin complaint about this and did so even 'before' I got banned.

This is a rather pedantic comment (which is rich, coming from me), but not one that really changes anything. In fact, the quote is:

    Quote

ADMIN: PM: Jovaniph/(Jovan Taru)->Streaky Haddock/(Zsi): Writing an admin complaint as we speak. just letting you know.

This is not the kind of behavior we will tolerate in the middle of a perfectly valid interaction with an Administrator. This is akin to telling a cashier "I'm complaining to your manager right now" as they bag your groceries because they used a bag you didn't like. Sure, you can do so, and it's in your power to do so, but that doesn't make it any less of, as pointed out, a dick move.

    As for the rest:

    Quote

Secondly, what is the point of having Admin Complaints if this is the kind of response I get back?

The purpose of an Admin Complaint is to raise an issue so that we can investigate whether or not the Administrator was at fault and, if so, if disciplinary action is required.

In this case, we have not found any wrongdoing on Streaky's part. Therefore, this is the response you'll be getting.

  4. Greetings. Allow me to take this point for point:

Twice I've been bwoinked by him over an IC issue. Neither of them were rule breaking. I remember he tried to claim one time in discord that I was breaking one of the rules for helping a perma escape, however I was a swarmer eating metal and the prisoner was in my way (Swarmer are antags too).

Administrators are not omniscient, and more often than not we need to approach people in order to find out about in-game events that may or may not turn out to have been fully ICly resolved. This is just how things work, and how it's always worked; such is the nature of administrative duty. As the logs indicate, the situation was resolved quickly and amicably, without any warnings, notes or any sort of anything beyond a literal

As for the second one, note that you clarified that you were a swarmer after Streaky made the comment, after which they did issue their "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah" and moved on. Again, reacting to potential rulebreaking behaviour becomes second nature, and the subject was dropped after the clarification that you were a swarmer.

    Quote

The second time I got really upset and accuse me for being a dick. I told him that you are bwoinking me over and IC issue and he wants to ban me for breaking rule 0. I have not once Insulted him and If he going to get upset over something that my IC did, he should not be an Admin.

There are certain limits to where you can justify acting ICly without first requesting permission from an Administrator. Breaking into someone's workplace and then wrecking their ability to do their job because they didn't get you what you wanted is, frankly, dickish, both to the characters and to the players behind the screen.

Administrators are fully permitted to handle IC issues. Requesting another Administrator when one decides to press an issue and then threatening to issue an Admin Complaint is not exactly behaviour we'd like to foster here.

I honestly think he is out to get me somehow since this is the third encounter with him. I never had a problem like this before.

I see no wrongdoing on Streaky's part in any of these situations. Barring any extra details brought up, this will be archived after 24 hours.

  5. After discussing this with the Heads of Staff and with Tigercat, we agree that the reaction to the entire affair was less than stellar, especially with how the players in OOC were treated after they voiced their disliking of the various changes enacted during the round.

As such, a stern warning was issued and Tigercat has been instructed not to run events of a similar/equal caliber without first running them by other Administrators currently online. If there is anything else that you would like to see resolved, please say so.

  7. Due to the somewhat controversial nature of the addition of Peacekeepers, the Heads of Staff have opted to reach out to the community at large in order to gather their opinion on this new addition.

We would like to point out that this vote is not binding; this is merely for the purpose of gathering feedback, which is why we'd ask you to share your opinion in the thread itself. We'd also like to ask you to keep things civil in the discussion below, regardless of your opinion on the Peacekeepers themselves.

  8. Greetings.

For the purpose of this Complaint, I would again point towards this particularly section of Server Rules, Rule 8: Validhunting:

    Quote

    Antagonists that seek to destroy the station itself (Blob, Nuclear Operatives or Swarmers), or exterminate the whole crew (Xenomorphs or Wizards) are exempt from this Rule. However, players in jobs such as Medical, or Cargo, are expected to do those jobs if they are better suited to help the station;

Admittedly, yes, a Malfunctioning AI is not listed explicitly as an example. However, it clearly falls into both categories. Whether or not you had attempted to activate Code Delta, you still possessed the ability to effectively reduce the station to molten scrap with the flick of a button. As it was back when Malfunctioning AI was a gamemode in and of itself, this makes you a priority target for everyone on the station.

As such, not only does the spirit of the Rules allow for a Malfunctioning AI to be targeted by anyone on the station, the letter of the Rules permits this as well. Having been present during the original PM Exchange, and now analyzing the facts, Saywat has done nothing wrong. Complaint is, therefore, without merit.

Malfunctioning AI will be added to the examples listed to prevent further confusion.
