    Blob rounds

idk futiley spam clicking an almost static enemy for a few minutes until you inevitably get insta-critted by some unseeable mysterious undodgeable force just isn't that appealing to me

    Blob rounds

people aren't avoiding fighting the blob because they're dumb, it's because fighting the blob is boring and tedious. don't deny it- people adamantly rush miles out of their way to pursue pretty much any other antag, because fighting most other antags is actually fun and exciting. if something isn't working, the trick is to either fix it or get rid of it, not bash everybody over the head with it until they've taken so much brain damage they start to enjoy it.
  4. don't we already have these
  5. this is an interesting suggestion, but it does have a problem so let's say we have two systems, called system A and system B and let's say that system A was fucking useless and system B was one of the most time-tested and integral systems in the entire game, around from near cargo's very beginning would it make more sense to get rid of system B entirely and replace it with the much more convoluted and unnecessary system A, or would it make more sense to just get rid of system A?
  6. shouldn't the chaplain be in charge of writing magic shit and the librarian just stick to writing porn
  7. these new articles suk hold on i got this
  8. most of the articles on the wiki are just blatantly and shamelessly ripped straight from http://wiki.ss13.eu/ so just go there
  9. what kind of sec officer would actually arrest the vigilante and not just 'accidentally' let him get away especially since i'm assuming in a round with a vig the station would also be packed with even more actual antags then usual
  10. What's with all these guys joining to post massive incredibly in-depth introduction threads and then never posting anything else ever
  11. 1. Pointless. If you want cool themed names, just make them yourself. No need to complicate the character creation screen with more clutter then it already has. 2. I do like the idea of more job-specific traitor items, but I don't very much like the ones you described. Floortile launchers? Space lube grenades? Traitor items becoming 'do all the traitoring for me' machines are the reason traitors are becoming so uncreative, not the solution. 3. yes 4. Eh, I'm fine with the amount of 'hidden items' on the station already. I just wish some of them could be a bit more useful, or creative. 5. yes
  12. You don't see people playing Unathi not because of the lack of superfluous buffs, but because most Furries (most of the people who tend to play the cat or lizard beasts) just want to arpee their cat OCs and don't give a shit about lizards.
  13. Cyborg to replace Chef Just a chef, but with the added feature of being unable to fall back on anything else when they inevitably get bored of doing nothing because nobody ever wants to eat anything. Cyborg to replace Botanist Just a botanist, but with the added feature of being unable to fall back on anything else when they inevitably get bored of botany. It's only job is smoke robot weed while idly watching all his human masters die in the massive hull breach that he could've fixed if only he had chosen a borg module that was actually useful. Cyborg to replace Chemist With Medborgs taking up all the actual healing and Genetics becoming absolutely impossible, Chemist is the last useful job Medbay has. See below rant. Cyborg to replace Surgeon With Medbots and Medborgs insta-healing anybody who walks into the Medbay lounge, the only thing the actual Medical Doctors are good for is surgery. If you're going to make a Surgeon and Chemist borg, you might as well just get rid all of Medbay and all it's jobs and just let the borgs run around responding to calls. Cyborg to replace Detective Just a detective, but with the added feature of being unable to fall back on anything else when they inevitably get bored of investigating because there's never anything to investigate because subtlety is outright shunned among SS13's traitors and greytiders. Best case scenario, Security Borg 2.0 Cyborg to replace Clown Seriously? Cyborg to replace Chaplain Seriously? Engineer Borg is the only borg that is useful, has ever been useful or will ever be useful (except maybe Secborgs, but to a much lesser extent). We need less borgs, not more. I do love the idea of new bots, though, but I don't really see the purpose of the ones you've described.
  14. These are all pretty common in events. At least one of the Mechas you mention tend to lugged around by the Death Squad every time they show up (which is obvious, by their description), and, more commonly, ERT. The only ones I've never seen are the Phazon (OP) and the Mind Flayer (sucks). iirc Manhack spawn grenades do appear on /tg/station, along with Space Carp grenades. They certainly don't appear as a traitor item, though, if that's what you mean.
  15. Isn't that what all antagonists run off and do anyway? Giving them 'Free Objectives' just means that the traitor has even less of an obligation to make the round interesting.
  16. If the prostethic groin comes with a 5-foot retractable spinning robot dong then I'm all for this idea.
  17. The Clown Console needs to also function as a Security Camera computer, a non-ID-locked Communications console, a non-ID-locked ID Console, and have the options to set everyone to arrest, release the singularity, and toggle the bolts on all doors on the station Z-level in order to maximize the HONK output.
