  1. Hello there,this is just an docummentary on unused weapons and equipment that you probally won't see Most of them are kinda cool actually. All of them are unused by adminspawns so far and doesn't come with any of the default gamemodes unless noticed so. WEAPONS: All weapons are tested with dummies with no clotches or armor, MIND FLAYER: Seems to do burn damage.Also does brain damage,and as said by mods causes hallucinations (Mindbreaker assumed to be mindbreaker) GYROJET PISTOL: Fire explosive rounds,but damage was focused nevertheless. Caused bleeding,huge amount of brute damage. May be gotten by wizard spells,but Wizard rounds don't happen anymore,so considered an rarity. M1911-P: Seems to cause heavy burn damage around the body,even on untargeted areas. Will give the user visible burns on frist shot. Is an small pistol. DOUBLE BLADED LASER SWORD: Seems to have stuck to the wound on frist attack. Otherwise,it doesn't seem to do much damage,around double of an silenced pistol.Caused Bleeding. Can be retracted like an conventional and more common Laser Sword. MANHACK DELIVIERY GRENADE: Spawns three viceratrors and can be primed and thrown within 5 seconds. Causes an flash explosion that gives the viceratrors enough time to kill someone if they're alone.They usually focus on one person alone. There may be more effects according to its description,but otherwise untested. Suggests that they may be in accordance with other anomalities(Spawning vortexes is an possibillity) METEOR PEN: deals heavy brute and burn damage. causes an explosion that removes tiles when you miss an victim(supported by admin text) Doesn't seem to damage neabry scenery if someone is hit.possibly has an meteo-ry projectile,bad stealth weapon due to text.Is mightier than the claymore. HEALING EQUIPMENT: S'RENDARR'S HAND LEAF Seems to be an soft leaf used on bruises.has an stack counter that lists the amount of uses. Was unable to outheal an katana cut or the resulting bleeding. WEARABLES: THERMNOCLE: Like Thermals but on an Monocle.Just fancy ins't it? May be craftable with an normal monocle and an combination like making an medbot,but not tested. THERMAL EYEPATCH: Same as an Thermal but an eyepatch.Doesn't obstruct vision. Given by default to players made pirates by admin,if not given an normal eyepatch. Also given to Russian Captains. MECHAS: MAULER: "An heavy-duty,combat exosuit,developed off the existing Marauder Model"(Description). Comes equipped per default on admin room with: eZ-13 mk2 Heavy pulse rifle ,SRM-8 Missile Rack,Energy Relay ,Armor Booster Module (Ranged Weaponry) Can be given to Syndicate Strike Teams,but those are hardly summoned and even then they never need Mechs. Considered rare enough for listing. Can't be accessed by non-syndicate ID cards. DEATH-RIPLEY: "OH SHIT IT'S THE DEATHSQUAD WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE"(Description) Equipped on adminroom with: KILL CLAMP(Allcaps) Glitches into looking like an normal RIPLEY once you enter it.Retains KILL CLAMP and DESCRIPTION. Only mentioned due to lack of use.you probally already know that it exists. DARK GYGAX: "A lightweight exosuit used by Nanotrasen Death Squads. A significantly upgraded Gygax security mech." Equipped on admin room with: LBX AC 10 "Scattershot",SOP-6 Grenade Launcher,Teleporter,Energy Relay Also has the default GYGAX abillity(Leg actuator overdrive),still damages the mecha. Never used by Deathsquads and probally not noticed by most of the population yet unlike the Death-Ripley.Warrants Mention. PHAZON: "An exosuit which can only be described as 'WTF?'"(Description) Its equipped on admin room with: Mounted RCD,Gravitational Catapult Has three melee combat punches:Brute,Burn and Toxic.Seems to switch damage type by mech commands. Moves on an speed comparable to an Gygax,if faster.
  2. Nah,Tasers are fine as-is if you're gonna nerf batons. But yeah,certian suits should have eletricity resistance(Obviusly the ERT,DS and Security Hardsuits and pearphs the HoS Coat,no idea what others should have it) as OP noticed.

Now it seems you have decided to spawn as an Larva,or maybe you got linked to here because of an Angry Man who's mad at you for "Killing the Human".But why is this?Because you actually should back down and read the Guide.Xenomorphs rarelly happen and its guidelines aren't as easy as you think,and if you don't follow them you're screwing over the whole Hive.this guide will contain all Xenomoprh phases,and then some more important things. I spawned as an tiny Larva!What do? Chances are,you are an stray that got caught by one of the Xenomorphs and went to medbay immediatelly.If so,turn on you yakety sax and go to the nearest vent or worse but not as bad,hide under tables,gibs,or whatever you have avaliable to hide at. You main priority once you're in an safe area is to use the Hivemind (:a) chat to find the main Hive.Go there.Once you're there,its simply the Waiting game.Aid other newbie players who are killing humans and tell them NOT TO KILL THE HUMANS(or even monkeys,you can reproduce on those too) Eventually you Larva will have taken some time as an Red Carapace.Consider clicking Evolve then,you will be Presented with 3 races:Hunter,Sentinel,and Drone.You'll get more specified guides later,but for reference.The Hunter is the Stealthy Role,The Sentinel is the Defence role,and the Drone is the relaxed one.The Queen is the mastermind. If the hive is under attack,go somewhere else "not used" like Clown Office,Construction Office,or the more obvious areas you can go to evolve and start an hive as Drone,as you other workers will likely be dead.You chances of success are low,but hey,who knows... Xenomorph General "Dah,i picked X,now what?" Hold-it Nellie.Frist,you'll need to know what applies to every Alien Castle,as you'll need to collaborate with other Castles to succefully infect the Humans. 1.Weed You will notice Aliens are planting Purple Sacks that spread weed everywhere.Those are important,as they Recharge you Plasma.Alien Drones should plant those regullary,and they will spread those even if they don't know what they do.Basically,if you lose Plasma to split Neurotoxin Splits,its time to go back to one of the Hives.this is exactly why you should consider stopping by sacks every so once in an while. Notice:Weed can't spread into Space.In solars,they will move exactly over the Solar Array,but not into space. If you lose all Plasma tough,break open an Plasma Canister.Its slower,but you can refill plasma if its in the air. 2.Facehuggers. Now,the Queen can plant Eggs that Hatch into Facehuggers.Those are Vital to the Circle of Reproduction,and maybe you throwing weapons if necessary. The Alien Queen,and NOBODY ELSE,can plant Eggs that hatch into Facehuggers.The Queen,Drones and Sentinel can open those,altough their best use is on hands of the Hunters,so hatch them regullary if they're here and you can.If not,hivemind(:a) chat to call an Sentinel or Drone over to break them open. When an ALIVE person is infected by an Facehugger,they will eventually split into an Larva,witch will also be Player Controlled,regardless of the status of them abeforewards.(For the note,they take the next ghost player with xenomorph event turned to YES.If none of those are dead,the next death should generally prompt anoter larva to spawn). The only way to resist getting an Facehugger is putting on an Hardsuit Helmet,RIOT helmet,or an Carved Pumpkin on their face.(Notice:If someone puts an Carved Pumpkin on his face and charges to the hive,Adminhelp it.Its considered meta). Notice:Monkeys are facehuggable,thus providing some userfull guide for where to infect.(Mainly,Virology and Xenobiology,that are easly accecible from space,fear not space carp). 2nd Notice:You can see an image of the larva progression.Larva means egg,alien mouth means an larva will brust out on next death from someone.Userfull at times. 3.After infection What to do after infecting someone is actually questionable.You Aliens instict command you to try to grab the infected,but if you fail remember the masses think that killing somoene will stop them from brusting.this ins't true,so be happy with you success if you have to flee after throwing an facehugger.This applies to both monkeys and humans. On the other side if you managed to take the prey easly to the Hive,put it on one of those globs of purple aliens make.There should be building called "Hive" on the drone's construction menu.Once an human is put here it won't escape,so no worries of having to check if the panicked one managed to space or dissapear into somewhere while you we're off. 4."Whispering" An most special abillity all Xeno castles have is Whispering into human heads...Now,i'd tell you to get creative and manipulate humans but since you're an Huge Blue Alien,you'll have to assign them orders...and RP wise,only the Queen is smart enough for that.So basically only an Unseen Queen can manipulate someone.Carefull not to impresionate an mod or admin with those powers,thats reportable. 5.Eating Humans Generally,eating un-stripped humans can lead to them using whatever deus ex machina they have to furiosuly bash agaisn't you belly to escape,and even if they fail eating them will cause an severe terminal indigestion.Generally an bad idea. 6.Pros over Humans You slashes can outrobust an Tarajan at up close(not that you will want to do that) and you have extra HP,and since Exosuits rotate slowy,close range combat is actually kinda covenient for you if you care not for the man.Usually,you'll want this to outrobust Engineering Cyborgs due to their Welders and to cut up non-ranged Exosuits,or await till Security realises Stunbatons don't stun you. 7.Cons over Humans Hardly know but Aliens are actually weak to Lasers and take normal damage from Projectile Weapons.What is so important here is that people often don't realise they take double damage from lasers,or that different races and people take extra damage from other things.More obviously you have an weakness to Welders,but since its melee you will want the Weaker Humans to gang up at you with those since its more...convenient to have them up close. If you get shot with an syringe or have something on you eye,assume it was Choral Hydrate(terrible agains't you but hey,start worrying),Beepsky Smash(they know what they're doing) or Neurotoxin(Wave you Hive goodbye!) because those are the only ways to stun you. 8.Don't meta Actual tip.If the turrety things shoot you,destroy them or run from them.If there's an airlock opening for no reason,destroy it and replace it with an Plasma Door.If theres an blue thing on an room surrounded with things shooting you,YOU WANT TO GET RID OF THE THINGS SHOTTING YOU FRIST.Infact,you don't even care about the blue core speaking things,or the little small things on the wall looking around.No you don't even know where they reside.Don't even brother sticking an Facehugger on those.(I might be told wrong by an admin,but otherwise you're breaking rule 15:"your characters knowledge should be limited to what your character would know"). 9.Bugs. There are bugs on the system,of course.Frist one is that if you have the "throw" intent selected you will instead snuggle with people.This is the only problem i know so far,but its the most important thing you need to know,specially if you're throwing facehuggers around. Specific Castles Now that we have the generals,lets focus into something more important:You castle.As said,there are three:Drone,Sentinel and Hunter.their difficulty can vary,with very hard from easy,regardless of castle,altough rounds as Drone are GENERALLY easier than Sentinels and Hunters. Hunter: As an Hunter,you have two speciall abillties and the Hardest job in the hive,collecting people stealthly(or not so sealthly if they already know you're here). The frist abillity to help you is "Invisibillity". Invisibillity ins't what it really is tough,its more of "Transparency".It works better in darker areas and is batantly obvious on lit areas(where its plain obvious theres an "Stealhly Alien" walking around "completelly invisibly").If you get discovered,you have 150% HP and the fastest Walkspeed of all Aliens,quickly scamper to a vent,but remember that if the Humans don't know there's an Xeno infestation,you just ruined the element of surprised. The 2nd is called "Regurgitate",it allows you to spit whatever you digested. Doesn't look like big abillity untill you realise you can eat an Human by aggresivelly grabbing them,and then run off to an vent to the hive,without allowing the other humans to follow you.Easiest way to pickup an human like that is to throw an Facehugger at him to stun him then eat him while the xenomorph infects him.Don't screw it up!You can only throw the facehugger once. Generally,you can help the Sentinels and Drones spread the hive to get extra monkeys and only go help them if you have nothing else to do,or if there are too many Hunters and you accidentally pressed the "Hunter" button when Evolving. (For reference,its acceptable to kill someone if:They're already infected(check if they have an little egg,alien mouth or facehugger over them or throw an Facehugger on them to regonize it),they have an Facehugger protective helmet(Specially if they're banging on the door.Aim for the harms after disarming them to disable their abillity to hold an batton,or if close to the hive/vent,eat them and bring them to one of the Purple Blobs you can walk over,they will be immobilised if buckle them to it,just remember that you swipes do an tubular amount of 22 damage and should be used wisely,if aimed on hands and swiped once its enough to give them an fracture). Sentinel: So you've choosen the Sentinel.You will be facing Security Officers with gear to hunt you down,people banging on the hive and what more.Generally,you're here to make sure that they don't douch the currect Hive or Queen,so rev up those trolleys. You 1st abillity is to corrode walls.You should frequently corrode airlocks and let the Drone's replace those with you Alien-Opening only doors,so the humans can't pass by the Airlocks as freely.It will also make quite an hassle for the humans to pass tru,and thats exactly what you want. You 2nd and most important abillity is to Spit Neurotoxin.Use it freely if an human is approximating the hive,but remember it also takes plasma and you can miss it as it travels like an projectile,and you can't fire it like an gun.(You'll have to pop up the little menu you get by right/left clicking people,making it highly incovenient). If the Humans build an Exosuit invading the Hive(The kind you will most have trouble with),you should be able to camly beat it up.Rotating around it when it starts trying to drill you while you scratch it will work if its an RIPLEY.If its an Odysseus with some deadly acid on its Syringe Gun or an well suited Combat Mech the humans have officially won the war agaisn't the xeno's.Give the admins one last prayer as you die you unjust death,you only hope is somehow getting close do it then circling it,and you outrageous 20 brute damage per swing should do the job. 3.Drones As an Drone you have an simple job untill the Queen dies.Then everyone will expect you to evolve into an Queen,regardless of how you can play Heads of Staff,so be ready for anything. As an Drone,you main task is spreading weeds all year around,plus creating special walls and membranes for the other castles.You special abillity is infact creating those walls,and you can replace Airlocks with doors.You hives are ridiculously obvious due to the purple weeds growing all around(if they aren't everywhere already,FIX IT!They give everyone plasma.Create some Purple Sacks to spread them)to anyone already,so plasma walls won't hurt,since neither the AI or Crewmembers can open them. Other than that,you can create "Purple Blobs" that other aliens can entrap humans on by buckling them to it like it was an chair.Userfull if they know what they're doing,as it will completelly immobilizing anything put on it. For combat,you have absollutelly NO powers expect that you Melee swings deal extra damage,and even then its lower than Sentinels and Hunter swipes and you're SLOWER than anyone but the Queen,and you don't have the benefit of having 150% Health like Hunters and Sentinels do,witch is why you need Sentinels to protect you.If they fail,jump to space,you don't need to breathe and coldness,and the pressuse won't hurt you.(THIS IS EXACTLY WHY YOU ALWAYS KEEP AN DOOR LEADING TO SPACE ON THE HIVE,or less often,nothing since it will depressurize the rooms,altough whoever barges in is either intentionally equipped or unintentionally equipped with Space Resistant gear). If an new Queen is necessary and you're up for the task,accumulate some Plasma(and by some i mena fill you reserve to the max) and click the "EVOLVE" button on the Alien part.If it fails,someone took it already.sigh quietly.If not,congratulations,you are the Queen!You now have become an Priority Target that would be justified in being shot frist,and will constantly be hunted down by metagamers.Its gonna be an amazing day. The Queen The one and only.You have the responsibillities of being an Antagonist,And Head of Staff,and an high Priority Target.It won't be meta if an Security Officer barges in,sees an crow of Aliens but thinks that fixing fire on the one that is Lagre and Outstanding among the group,so you'll have to clear out yourself. The frist duty as Alien Queen is leading the Hive.Most of the time,you drones should Obey you,and they should be doing it.Use of the hivemind (:a) will be Paramount,like any :c or radio.Unless of course you Aliens belivie you are an Queen for breeding purposes,like in Earth Wildlife.Either way,there's NO cannon over that,but its always much more normal to belivie you're an Leader,specially due to you actual higher intelligence and abillity to talk in normal human language(honestly,it IS weird that you can charge you vocallization to Human to Alien,but hey,why brother...) The 2nd duty is one only you can do,and its planting eggs that build up Facehuggers,and you should be doing it whenever you aren't telling you fellow aliens what to do and where to go,that is actually quite often.After they're done growing,make sure the Drones and Sentinels are busting eggs open.An general Hunter should have two Facehuggers on his pockets at the very least.If they aren't equipped with that,you're doing something VERY wrong as Queen. When an Security Crew/Squad,from ERT or Station breaks in,call for you Sentinels to KILL THEM.Call EVERYONE to kill them,if they start gaining momentum they will slaughter you whole family apart,but killing the last hope of the station who has the possibly best weapons they can use in this case will turn to be worth it.I know everyone will throw an rant on how you must not kill people so you can reproduce on them,but if they're equipped with Facehugger resistant helmets and they're banging at you door,they're valid targets.Don't even brother infecting them. If this fails,that 250% HP is going to whittle down quickly,unless the "Raid" you have is 1 person you can shot down with you Neurotoxin. Alien Empress Occasionally,you will see huge aliens that are 2X2 tiles huge(an default charater is just 1X1,for reference) Its one of the Rarer ones,its HP ins't listed,but it would be safe bet to it should be around 300% or 500% should be its default.But even then,it might be just 100%.Its hard to know how much HP something has when you killed it hitting it with an Energy Axe and is just testing content,specially when its actual robustness is not listed.Neverthless it seems to have normal Queen abillities,such as Splitting Neurotoxin and planting eggs,so it might be 250% HP. Generally it will be agreed you precense is mighty and you have Authority over the Queen,and i dobut the Admins would object to that.Wether you count as Queen or not is not tested. And that cuts it out! This guide is as complete as the Head of Staff guide.I'll revise both for the moment,but do not expect any more guides untill i consider both completelly ready for the public.

  5. HOLD IT. While i'll revise the Cyborg again(It was meant to be like that to being with i presume,i didn't think that i'd have forgotten that) i still have an problem with this last part. So you mean you will need to go around begging for Karma so i can Unlock OP things?I know its meant to encourage better gameplay but having an ACTUAL ADVANTAGE over other players is getting off the rails.
  6. Jo,this is actually an pettry common idea on other servers but im gonna post it here just cause its normally only on /tg/station servers. The Clown should have an shop accecible from his PDA that he can use to buy things with bananas. The System is simple,the Clown just grabs Botany access or asks Botanists to get Bananas to him so he can put them on his PDA by clicking the PDA with an Banana on his Active hand.The PDA has an Infinite Stash for the Bananas. From the old shop on /tg/staiton,almost(its been some time since i've ever seen that) exact copy(items marked on red are awfully griefy and i won't mind if you take them off): Banana:1 Banana Exact exchange from putting an banana on the PDA. Individual Clown Set:1 Banana Per Piece Allows you to buy the Rainbow Crayon,Jumpsuit,and other Clown Items without buying the whole set.Buying the set individually should cost more than buying the entrie set. Bananawall Grenade:2/3 Bananas Creates Banana walls,acting and spreading like Metal Foam but it needs to be cut or eaten(Notice:Replacing with Banana Pell Grenades would be recommended) Clown Suit Set:6 Bananas Spawns all the items the clown starts with inside an Vohn Honkertron(the Clown backpack) H.O.N.K. BOT:69/100 Bananas: Spawns the HONKBOT,doesn't come equipped with anything.Will invariably scare the hell out of people if you come at them with it. There are MUCH more things on the shop,but as i said,i don't have access to those things anymore,much less the server that houses that,so let this be all.Any more items are welcome.
  7. +Immune to Oxygen Deprivation +Immune to Disease +Doesn't get Toxin damage from sources that normally would damage it(Its reserved for Ion shots only) +Doesn't Bleed +Can be revived by Emergency Restart Modules +Hand attacks cause little Toxins or Burn damage +/-Passes trough other Androids as he's made of Nanites. -Can only be repaired with Nanopaste(And is damaged by Welders) -Has an limited energy reserve(Starts with an 15000 Battery tough,unlike cyborgs) that can be Fixed with an common Cyborg Recharger -Reaching an human Critical thersold constantly gives Brute Damage and makes energy drop twice as fast,along with an obvious effect of leaking out energy(like on Emagged doors and when changing the RCD mode) -Weak to Pressuse -Not changed by Virology,Genetics,Chemistry,and even Xenobiology milacre buffs,and has limited compabillity to Cyborg equipment,and no compabillity to Exosuit equipment. -Takes Ion/Toxins(Either coding an new Ion damage type for every Robot or making Ion the only way to let him take Toxins damage) from Ion Rifles and EMP Grenades,the damage starts going up from there since the Drones go mad at the robot itself.Can only be fixed with an Emergency Restart Module. Now,there will be an slight need to the background as fixing him with Welders is impossible,Possibly by making it just an Swarm of Nanites(or partially so). Why is this balanced,and why does it make sense? Disease,Toxins and Oxygen deprivation would be the biggest enemies of an Android,and it woun't make sense to repair them using Nanopaste to heal Oxygen damage,neither does them taking oxygen damage.However,it makes sense that robots build partially of Narnites(tiny little robots) to be weak to being crushed from all directions,and it doesn't make the robot immune to being spaced either. Being put on Critical puts more pressuse on the robot tough,as its up to him to find someone to fix it,as he won't be just lying around waiting to be fixed and instead will have to rush to Robotics,medbay can do nothing to help him. Melee attacks do Burn and/or Toxins damage as his Nanites are switched to an Aggresive function,and due to how small they are they have no other functions(Thus the need for nanopaste to heal himself). Limited energy reserves because duh. Also,i'd like to note that im jamming too many abillities and disabillities on him already and im not an Programmer,but i'd imagine this will be an enourmous code full of bugs and such.Im gonna try to tone it down an little actually.
  8. Ahem,back to the issuse of Atmos again. Nobody can flood everything with plasma or other killer gas because it would be griefing,as you are only supposed to kill who's marked on you objectives.Bolting Atmos is also an huge incovenience for Atmospheric Technicains,as its their main workplace,even tough they can simply ask you to unbolt it. What really needs to be bolted tough is the area flooded with canisters on Research,since they already start with Oxygen and Plasma,and the concentrated blast of an Canister would kill someone without the admins marking it as "grief".
  9. More Importantly: The Warden is in Charge of Managing not only the Armoury,but the Weapons Security has. If needed,barge to Cargo and order an Weapons Crate,for instance when the Vox are boarding and you only have innefective Laser weapons,ask QM for an Shotgun crate and Lethal shots,possibly by auth'ing hacking the Autolathe. If he tells you to go and ask the HoS,tell him that you're in charge of weapontry. If he calls the HoP,Call the Captain.The HoP has authority over Cargo only overruled by the Captain,and what the HoP says to Cargo,goes,lest they get faced with Demotion. If all else fails,you might be screwed...or it might be time to ask yourself if you really needed the Weapons,like you should have when asking for them in frist place.If not,expect an just Demotion by whoever you called to fix the problem.
  10. So you've decided to choose an Head of Staff role,huh? Now,many people will say Head roles,Specially the Captain,are actually quite relaxed.If this is true or not depends on how's the Round is coming around,even if you think the only Duty of the Captain is to guard the Disk,you'll find yourself to be dealing with Rampaging AI's,Tons of RP and Bruerocracy(Depending on how much the "Bruerocaritc" jobs are working),and tons of other trouble keeping you from fixing one thing or anoter. But now,lets get some basic Ground rules: Heads of Staff Priorities: 1.Managing his Sector 2.Managing extra work. This means that the Head of Personnel manages Cargo(Altough he should often leave that to the QM,unless he is getting complaints) and the Civillian Sector abefore he manages people Access levels,and the Captain manages the Heads of Staff abefore he goes all Democratic with Centcomm and other tasks. General Tips and Tricks: Now,all of this will apply to all,or at least most Heads of Staff.I'll make sure that most of the things written here will speedup you Sector or keep it from breaking apart while not making everything SUPER META GUIDE TO BEATUP EVERY ENEMY YOU WILL EVER SEE(For the Note:Everything too meta is an bannable offence,keep it RP'y) 1.Assign orders to specific people on you Department,not the Department itself. Telling MCUrist to go to setup the Singularity is much more effective than,say,telling Engineering to setting up the Singularity. Tell everyone to setup their PDA Mensager to On if this is needed,and press CTRL + F to find the desired role you want to order incase you can't find anyone to do you bidding. 2.Change the goddamn Alert Levels.I can't muster enough rage and hate when the Door to the Teleporter is blown up and the Hand Tele is Stolen and the Heads are like Blue is Better/Not big problem,green alert. Aimed more specifically at Security,if the Alert Level changes to RED(like it often doesn't) you should keep people from Engineering on Engineering and such.The HoS should specifically enforce this,with few Expections for people on Medbay and Security. And as always,since you're on the top of Ranks and Roles,you can ask any AI with default lawset to shock,or even kill whatever McUrist you want/need to kill,provided you have an reason(Not having one will invariably have you banned if there's an admin online,and even if there ins't we can post ban appeals on this forum). Head of Personnel Ah yes,Head of Personnel. Its an "Nifty" job to start playing when welcoming yourself to the Head roles,having only minor skills required to do X and Y. With an bonus,this server has an Nanotrasen Rep role.The ones who read the Paper will know their job is to assist you sometimes,and they should gadly do that. If they only go around showing their Nifty title and telling everyone to do things like he had Authority,consider reporting him to Admins if you think he's only playing that role to show off his nifty title and access.If not,ask the Captain for auth to demote him.He is NOT under you Authority,he's one of the rare roles under Captain and Captain Auth only. In most sintuations tough,you should be doing you job as the Nanotrasen Representative also has his own jobs. In most cases,all you will have to care about is giving people jobs. Changing jobs is simple.Generally,people will ask you to get an job role such as Medical Doctor or Scientist,witch are outside of you Authority.However,that does not mean you have to constantly annony other Heads of Staff.An simple check on the Crew Manifest to see if the job slots are overcrowed should do it.Security generally doesn't update Security Records,but incase they do,check them to see if the man is an Criminal.You also should start with SecHuds,witch is actually often messed with,but not the way you want. Security will normally remove an person status instead of setting them as "Realsed".But if he's actually checked as Realsed or Wanted,ask the Head of Staff on :c channel.The HoS might also object to giving the person that job.In the rare chance he does,consider quietly congratuling the HoS for not being terrible and don't give that Person the job. On rarer but still imporant cases,you will receive an complaint about the Clown,or more often the Quartermaster because he didn't give you the goddamn crate to save his life. Generally you should hear out the QM because people not receiving their crates will go to QM and possibly Riot or something,but who to demote and hear is not what i will tell you to do.You need to discover what to do yourself when that happens. Head of Security Now,if you're an actually Decent player(as you should be,since you're reading this guide) you should find out that people will flack you and many of you privilleges(such as using the Bluespace Cannon) have been stripped by the wrost,and most of you team will be invariably incopetent. You main job as HoS,like any other role,is to manage you Department,not play Security Officer.Armoury access?To give you Officers things to smash their enemies with,mainly the goddamn Nuke Ops.The Warden should normally be the one distributing those,and you shoun't use flashers at all.It will be trouble for Kidans who simply can't get flash resistance.Tell the Warden to remove the flashers if he setups those,they will just burn out for when you need them and be meedlesome in general.Plus,Armoury invaders can just walk their way in. Other than that,there is the Detective.Either he will do his job.If he is doing so,leave him alone.He doesn't need someone constantly brothering him unless its an Security Officer asking for the Evidence he needed for an arrest. On the other side,he will bang inside Security for Security Officer Equipment or use his Revolver to arrest people.Those last two are completelly unnaceptable and merits re-education,the Revolver hurts people by sticking shells on you people that need to be removed by surgery,and he ins't an goddamn security officer so he shouldn't be using sec gear. Then,there is the Bread and Butter of the Security Force,the Security Officers.Out of all the things jobs that can go wrong,this one will need to be looked out for. Basically,they will be harmbatoning people with prods off.Normally,i'd request that you re-educate them but the rules make it clear that Security Officers shoun't be using lethal force agaisn't non-lethal crimes,so feel free to just strip them from any job but assistant. Basically,as the HoS,you don't have the team with enough ways to screw the Station,but in such simple way to do so that it will invariably happen.Scientist making bomb?Atmos officer spewing plasma everywhere?Requires knowledge,possibly from the Wiki.Officer Harmbatoning McUrist and leaving them to die bleeding on an Prision cell?Will happen by default. Chief Enginer: You job will be pettry Starightfoward,with only 2 Jobs and 1 little extra to care of,and yet you have the most important burdens.Basically everyone on Engineering can force an shuttle call or kill everyone abefore they're able do to so,with enough knowledge. The frist you will want to delegate will be the Engineers,make sure they're setting up the Singularity Drive or Solars,then invite them to take an drink till the next Meteor Strike comes.Remember:You only have an super advanced suit because you need to be able to monitor you Engineers,not because you are mister Fix-it-All.Nobody will flack you for going around and Fixing everything,but its pettry non RP'y and will also drain you out of time to delegate you Engineers. Generally,you atmos engineers will know-it-all,or at least be learning.If one of them randoms traitor its not an recipe for an disaster,since they can't kill everyone under server rules(Alas,killing everyone for no reason is huge offence here,they have to be on you objectives) but if they come out with an concentrated mix of Burning Hot Plasma and strom down Security so they have an easier time stroming the Station,you can blame yourself on that.Use the Gas Scanner on the Canisters,and remember,their Competence quota is higher than average.If they're taking an Canister,use you Gas Scanner on it. Incase the Comms go down,grab you space suit and an Extended Internals Tank(Emergency tanks are for emergency only!),IMMEDIATELLY head to Security,ask an Security officer to come with you and go see whats wrong,unless you got an Mensage from Centcomm(Checking those mensages are important,mind you,you don't want to go to the Satellite for nothing) Once you're there,swipe you ID card on the little Turret controll things,they will be on the walls,You don't want to die by you own turrets while going in.Proccedd to the top of the Comms satellite and pick the Multitool here(if it ins't there,go to the other side),then enter without the Security guard(Unless he also has an Hardsuit and Internals,but that won't be necessary) and Pulse things untill they work. Usually,if the Satellite was hacked by an Nuke Ops,he will still be here.His weapon is instant knockdown and you better call an godlike Security Guard to deal with him.Ask the one you called with you if he's new to Security or if he has often fought Syndicates(Or just LOOC him) to decide if you should take him with you.At very least he should be able to pickup you dead body and throw it on the teleporter to an safe area. Research Director: Now RD normally has an easy job,as its basically only putting Research in-check so traitorous scientists don't destroy the station,but its the most vital that Security is armed with Laser Cannons when there's an Rampage of god knows what the admins spawned,and that you can throw an Bag of Holding in the Singularity when it goes loose. All you really need to do is make sure that you scientists aren't running off with an plasma tank to somewhere not on toxins and possibly make an little budge to aim there we're they're actually needed when things didn't start falling apart yet,or worse,that you have enough Laser Cannons to fend off the incoming Syndicate Strike Team,Bombs when Singulord is loose,and that Xenoarcheologists aren't traitors who dissapeared in space with their EVA gear. On you Office you have lots of things:you have the crude but sometimes userfull Reactive Armor.Chances are you will be Spaced when using it,or that you won't use it at all,and the Laser Pointer,that basically blinds people,borgs and cameras temporally.Again,nifty,and nobody will complain if you're carrying it,but not much use to it.But more importantly,you have the controlls for every Machinery expect the AI.You can lockdown,blow up every cyborg and exosuit(provided the Robocist put an special module so you can controll those) and repair the AI if its on an Intellicard,provided you use the right computer.You are basically more important on Jobs outside of Managing you Sector and less important at actually managing you Sector. On the things on you Office you don't own or should act like you own is Lamarr.Lamarr is not you pet dog or an fancy Internal.He is to be kept in the cage.The time you see you're kicking off Lamarr of its cage you may be arrested,demoted or permabrigged(For repeat offenders!) for messing with important research data,but you usually won't,since everyone on Security and the Captain can't brother to reply to that. Other than that,you have Access to the Teleporter and Telecomms and partial authority over Genetics.How you will use that is big question.You only have access there due to the fact that it is an Bluespace Working,and you have the best Understanding,RP wise,of that.Consider fetching some materials here to further off you Research. Genetics however is important.Sometimes,the Geneticists will go loose giving random powers to Random People,and you are there to set ground rules.If they say only the CMO has authority over them,go talk to the CMO to fire them,or possibly the Captain if things go bad.Remember,you authority is Jointed,so you'll need both of you to agree to fire them unless there's no CMO. Chief Medical Officer: As CMO,you have one of the most important jobs.It ins't uncommon for the begginer to choose medical,it has that weird attraction that only important jobs As CMO,you have The Chemist,Medical Doctors,the Paramedic,the Psychologist,and partially the Geneticists. The Geneticists will be the only two competent workers on you Authority,and even then thats partially.You have an say over who lives and who doesn't,but unless you're an Traitor you won't get to use that,and even if you are they will probally signal it to Radio,so not much to get here.Genetic mutations are outside your authority,but if theres no RD consider an intervention on that. The Psychologist(Or Therapist,depending how he decides to name himself) will never have any use the whole round,unless its getting Expectionally RP Heavy or Security forces you to have an Psychiatric Examination for Attempted Suicide,so he will soon ask for an job change. The Chemists will either be competent,wait 20 minutes abefore making the Mix you want,or blow theirselfes up when they get an request.Those wondouros creatures make absolutelly no sense whatesover,and even the best of Xenobiologists can discover what they mean.On the case they actually listen tough,ask them to make Clonexadone(i consider it un-rp like since nobody is gonna die,but ultimatelly its your call),then ask for something else like Bicardine,or have them to research new things with the Chaplain Holy Water if they already made everything bottles.Maybe they will add the mix to revive everyone to the Wiki. And now the Bread and Butter,the Medical Doctors.Their general job is to fix people in general,altough they do have specialized jobs.Otherwise, Either ways,you'll want to assign you Medical Officer jobs.They can be Surgeons or just the Common Medical Officer...But in the end,they're all Medical Doctors.If they regret their duty because "im an Surgeon,not an Doctor!" they need to be updated with the roles of an Medical Doctor. There's no need to get Frist Responders tough,you have an Paramedic who have access to special EVA Gear and the Medicart.They should go to Radio calls automatically.If you have some medical doctors consider switching one with the Frist-Responder job.
