  1. False, you forgot to mention how Kagura got hit by the moon a few times, and suffered burns because she had to enter the atmosphere every time she wanted to punch The Earth, until she realized that she could set her fists on fire before trying to punch and thus not be burned.

Yes, it outputs more than slime surgery when upgraded. Also, for a bit of clarification, the recycler and seed extractor, and gibber can now all be built, but higher tier parts do not make them any better.

Also a clarification about IPCs, they should now be taking as much damage as they did prior to the recent IPC updates, which accidentally turned them into walking tanks.

Granted, now its offsets are randomized every teleport, and there is a 80% chance of teleporting a hostile mob from the asteroid in every time you use it.

I wish there were more spooky scary random events.

Sorry for the delay on this - due to timezone differences between the maintainers and heads of staff it occassionally gets difficult to make decisions that have the full backing of the team. Either way, we've come to what we consider to be an amicable solution to this problem.

First off - let me apologize for merging the pull request early. At the time, I believed there was a concensus between the community and the coders and figured we should merge it in on time to get people to get used to it. As it turns out, the poll went from 15-3 to 15-21 over a matter of hours, which was something neither I nor anyone else had quite expected.

However, had I not merged the pull request two days ago it would've gone through regardless, despite opposition from some people. I strongly believe that until hell freezes over, we will never come to an agreement with regards to the view range, no matter what arguments people bring up. At that point it is the responsibility of the maintainers to decide what happens with the pull request, and whether or not it is merged. Because, after all, the executive power is a necessity in any system to make sure decision making actually happens, rather than having endless bickering. And we believe, that in the best interest of the server, that 15x15 is indeed a preferable solution that puts us in line with other servers, and resolves several longstanding issues with the 17x17 view range.

I realise that some may not like this, and that is why this is not a permanent change - there will be a two week trial (maybe a bit shorter or longer depending on time needed) where these changes can be tested so players can form a proper opinion, rather than jumping on the bandwagon for either side. At the end of the trial period we will determine whether or not the view range change has a positive impact on the server.

Finally, I want to urge you all to consider that we are arguing in a very heated manner over two tiles of view distance in a 2D spessman game on an open source codebase. Let's all try to keep a calm head in the future - and steps will be taken to ensure that such heated discussions will be a thing of the past. No-one is making changes just for the sake of annoying others, everybody makes changes with the server's best interest in heart and to make it a better place. Please keep that in mind.

Quoting MarkvA's statement made on the Github repo, because it is very relevant.

Hanging out in the bar is a favourite past time of a great many detectives, you wouldn't be the first. You can probably get away with being drunk the entire round, too, considering how few times security actually calls for a detective in my experience.

That and nobody will be able to tell that the detective is drunk, because detectives do not get drunk as a result of genetic experimentation having extremely healthy livers.

Air horns have been subjected to additional sanity testing after being torn off of HONK mechs for replication purposes. Our top psychologists managed to convince them to give up their intense hatred of shoes. As a result, these new smaller airhorns no longer emit high-intensity shockwaves when trying to annihilate all shoes. This change should result in fewer injuries sustained from being tossed to the air, into the ground, or onto shards of glass. We cannot however guarantee that they will not be annoying. Unfortunately this change has not had an effect on mecha-mounted air horns.

Nanotrasen is not responsible for any physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual damage caused by using, hearing, consuming, licking, seeing, vomiting, or smelling air horns. Any the reports of deaths and/or injuries of Nanotrasen-employed psychologists sustained while trying to convince demonic air horns to calm down are entirely fabricated.
