  1. I might be wrong, but I've always viewed SS13 as a co-operation based game. People who try to circumvent interaction with others in favor of being a solo do-it-yourselfer building their own lathes/medbays/chem/everything/etc are kind of missing the point, in my opinion. Yes, I get that relying on others has its drawbacks at times, but maybe contribute to improving this, rather than just trying to 'escape' it by making yourself as self-sufficient as possible. Even if we had departmental lathes, etc, you'd still have people trying to circumvent.

  5. Hello, this is Joe the Regular speaking. Got to know about SS13 by a friend few weeks ago. I've been playing on Paradise station since. Well this game definitely is something, how haven't I ever before heard about it! My character names by now are Jean Regulier and Pete Sundown, between which I change whether I'm on the mood to role-play a kind French medical worker or more arrogant Texan. On my own I'm actually Finnish guy on twenties, yet having a knack on the French and the Western's. The first due military service with them (yes, it is absolutely pleasant to operate with the French without speaking that universal language francaise... "ze patrol ze centre-operations must ask ze changement des route...") and the last due keen interest on Western films, so that's the point on my RP's. By now you'll meet me at the Medbay practising the doctoring - hope you got luck if you eventually get onto my surgery table! Happy space trails, everyone.
