  1. A system sort of like baystation where theres a chance to have a derelict like a crashed survival pod or another ship in the sector, instead the gateway has a chance to be inhabited. A few ideas I have -

Research Outpost(No Tspiders) - RD, scientists, barkeep, chef, miner (or just RD, scientist, miner)
Research Outpost(Tspiders) - Same as above, maybe different changes in gear.
Xenomorph Gateway - Syndicate agents, security guard, engineer, barkeep, scientists, possible DS (but perhaps with just the armour)
Wild West - Survivors(the ones "in the vault", could be spread across the map), Syndicate agents

(P.s while im here ill also throw in a new station goal for constructed, finish the construction site, have a navy officer played by an admin inspect it at the end of the shift and give it a pass or fail)

+1, construction site is touched too little nowadays

  3. I personally think Military RP = BEST RP, so, to plan for the future ahead (and cut the maintainers some work because I'm just so generous!), I decided to refit all the roles in paradise right now to fit our soon-to-be VERY COOL and very EPIC military roleplay server.

    Captain - Commander (O-57)
The captain now owns the ship, what he says is law, anything goes with him, if he is killed the station is to be destroyed immediately via nuke for it simply CANNOT function without the captain.

    Head of Personnel - Beta-Commander (O-22)
HoP by default has all access, can do field-executions whenever he pleases, in general can do anything as long as it doesnt cross the captain and the captain consents to it.

Head of Security - General Major Commander (O-15)
HoS can do field-executions, his word is law (however the captain outranks him in this), anything he says goes. Basically, a lower-ranking captain that has to answer to him and the HoP.

CE, RD, CMO - Bridge Officers (O-5)
What do these guys do again? I forget.

    NTrep - NULL
    Not military? NOT WELCOME!

    Blueshield - Lieutenant (O-2)
Just bosses everyone that he outranks around. Guarding command is only suggested.

Magistrate - Chief Petty Staff Sergeant (E-5628)
SNCO god, also is judge judy's long lost sibling (CANON!! CANNOT CHANGE THIS)

    IAA/HRA - NULL
    What the fuck is SoP?

Warden - Master Senior Sergeant (E-52)
    SNCO demigod, gets fancy gloves.

    Security Officer - Coporal (E-4)
Answers to everyone - if a higherup breaks the law, sucks to be you I guess.

Security Pod Pilot - Master Chief Commander (E-234)
SNCO prophet, basically the security officer's bigger brother.

    Detective - NULL
    Forensics? More like... bore ragnarok.

    Brig Phys - NULL
Our boys in red don't need a sissy doctor to watch over them.

    Station Engineer - Private (E- -23)
Is bossed around by everyone, even the few that don't outrank them. Setting up the engine is not necessary.

Mechanic - Commander Chief Petty Major General (E-24)
Station Engineer's bigger brother. Pod is replaced with a SPESS TANK.

Atmospheric Technician - Captain Lieutenant Colonel General  (O-11)
They're objectively the best role in the engineering department. Don't @ me.

    Medical Doctor - Recruit (E-1)
    Bunch of sissies.. With medkits.

Paramedic - Big Boss Chief Commander Militant Officer Petty Staff Coporal (E-266432543275345829346T3258324327483284326423)
SNCO god amongst gods. Only the most robust can be a paramedic.

    Chemist - NULL
This is what happens when you give the clown ultra lube..

    Virologist - NULL
The military has no place for devil incarnates! Well, actually..

    Therapist - NULL
The biggest sissy of them all.

    Coroner - The Man (O-5,000,000,000)
    this guy is cool

    Scientist - Ensign (O-1)
NT's navy loves breaking the geneva convention! That's why these guys exist.

Roboticist - Omega Lord Bringer Of Health And Existence (O-271263217473294328461294217421732139127321018249321048217)
    Mechs.

Quartermaster - Master Chief Sergeant (E-13)
Only beat by the warden in amount of guns owned.

    Cargo Technician - NULL
    Who?

Shaft Miner - Captain Commanding Officer Sub-Major (O-32)
IC, still deployed (lavaland fauna will be replaced with communist SNPCS), this is why they get such a high rank

    Chef - NULL
    The military never eats!

    Janitor - NULL
    The military never cleans!

    Barber - Recruit (E-1)
How else are we gonna shave those baldies in basic..

    Botanist - NULL
    NO CONTRABAND!!

So I was just playing on paradise when I saw a message from the AI:

    NOTIFICATION:

Did you ever dream of advanture? Always wanted a change in your life? Bored? Want a job? Or just want to make a difference?

ENROLL INTO NT MINING CORP TODAY!

Miners are required for the station to prosper.
    -F.I.R.E.W.A.L.L.

"Oh boy!" I thought, "a chance to go to the new mining station and explore!"

When I got there half the place was decompressed and an ash drake decided my round had to end.

This new 'update' to mining has really hurt the experience. How are you going to get people to play as a miner if they're just going to be cut down by an Ash Drake upon arrival? If anything this should just be a gateway option so that it doesn't effect the production of metal and raw materials.

The ashdrake was either lured or chased a miner back to the mining station. But lavaland's difficulty can be combated with things like goliath hide plates(?), ash drake bone armour, bone weapons (iirc bone axes do the same damage as a fireaxe), and other things. But I'm not gonna deny that it is unbelievably hard (at least for me) because of the fact that TG and paracode are pretty different, namely your bones don't get broken in one hit from a megafauna on TG, and paradise spessmen cant run as fast as TG spessmen.

  5. Sad to see that you're going since you're one of my close friends, you've contributed a lot to this server and I honestly think development & coding will either slow down massively or halt completely. o7

  6. After quite some time of being bannu'd, and in general, not getting antagonist, I finally have another story to tell(In addition, I changed the title so it's more inclusive, #ImWithThem).

I'm a roboticist, and a vampire, too. Objectives : 320 u of blood, kill a scientist, steal the hand-tele, After I get over the feeling of butterflies in my stomach, I get to work. I work a bit as a robo but mostly spend my time in maintenance. Some guy wanted to be borged, so after I borged him, I took his body and went to le epic secret maintenance room, where a civilian in plague doctor garb(hereon referred to as PD) saw me, succ'd, and walked a bit in maintenance. This is where I found Lumpy sucking on a guy, so I walked in, introduced myself as a vampire, and we were about to succ on the guy, but he starts pleading for his life. I feel a bit guilty, only take a sip, and me and Lumpy let em go.

I walk a bit, find PD and a guy named Sully arguing. Sully tries glaring PD, but it doesn't work because both are vamps. I tell them to both knock it off, and try to find more people in maintenance. Succ a few more people, get a few more powers, etc etc.  Now, I met the mime in maintenance and someone she tried to succ (they were cuffed). I helped take off their headset, disabled suit sensors, and we both succed on the poor guy. I welded that room shut to make sure no one would go to it, and we went along our way.

After a bit of walking about, not really getting much blood, me and Lumpy found each other and decided to prowl maintenance together. Eventually we found the mime, and made a plan to get the tele-armour, which Lumpy needed for his objective.  In addition, the scientist I needed to kill was idling so with the help of Lumpy, kidnapped and succ'd him. All was well, all objectives met, and the shuttle was called. I succ'd on a clone, headed to the pods, but it was welded. I unwelded it, stepped into the first tile of the pod, and the pod rocketed off. I fell out of the pod, and into space.

LITERALLY just 3 seconds more and I would've greentexted.

I forgot to post this sooner,  felt like drawing up a sort of selfie and social media thing for the space web(?) because why not? Head canon, Instagram or something like it will still be around during this time, another head canon Jonah drinks coffee straight from the pot.

I love this image for several reasons - how casually having a business trip between planets is mentioned, the username "lordzekiel", the fact that the image is supposed to be about Jonah (judging from the caption below)but Zeke takes up 70% of it, the attention to detail, and the cherry on-top is Jonah taking a pot of coffee.

    Don't attempt to do this.

Because as i found it, creating over 120 stable mutagen clones, creates terrible lag for a bit.

Ok then, I will research the borgs and try to get some game time in as them. I have some experience on tg station, but paradise looks like it has its own rules and systems.

Before I play as AI, I will probably start a new thread in the appropriate sub forum addressing questions I have about conflicts between the AI law sets and the Space Law the crew operate under, as it seems that a highly literal interpretation of either lawset would lead to conflicts with Space Law. For example, if the lawset is crewsimov and the first law is 'no harm to humans', would the AI not be forced to intervene in an execution for someone convicted of a capital crime?

You do have to intervene, yes, but don't do something like electrify all the doors to stop them from getting executed - rather, try locking off access to the execution room, or sending a borg to save the to-be-executed prisoner. A good rule of thumb is Server Rules>Your Laws>Space Law. So you can't bolt down all of security because one guy's getting executed.

    Name's Connor!

I'll admit it, I got interested because of some YouTube videos and the wacky shenanigans that happened in them. I poked around the Wiki and read most of the lore behind the station, NanoTrasen, and the species on board. That was a fun read.

I hope to see you in space!

My favorite thing to do with a lot of servers is to read the lore, glad to see someone does the same.

I'd personally recommend the 1980s-copper look, in order to encourage approachability. The student-instructor relationship is a key element of successful education, and while making a Drill Instructor (DI) as the teacher might make for some decent Full Metal Jacket parodies, it also actively discourages new Sec Officers from seeking out help. Meanwhile, the "grumpy-but-approachable old vet" is a timeless and tireless archetype, and would help improve the students' confidence to speak up in the first place.

I don't think job stereotypes are followed often. Detectives aren't loose cannons (most of the time), doctors aren't these upbeat and/or cynical nurses, assistants don't assist anybody, and the janitor is the least humble person on the station. I think the poll was put in place mostly for cosmetic appearance.

Here's something that I did a little different.

    hi_there_by_phantasmicdream_dd52hj0-full

I've gotten a few people calling out saying Zeke is up to something devious, which he may or may not be.

I like the colour scheme used here and the dots you can find in some areas of the drawing.
