    Way I see it is that it's still "you," as in the same mind. As for prescans, I picture it the exact way you described.

    As for memory, my characters conveniently "forget" what caused the death, and anything leading up to it.

    As in remembering going to cargo to make an arrest, but not entering cargo, or the EMP frying my posibrain.
