I would be fine for re-enabling it.

with an upgraded or normal welder and 2 Spools of wire.
Absolutely fucking not.
Given how much IPCs heal from these (40 units of welding fuel and 2 entire spools of wire is enough to res them from being entirely dead) compared to how much a medical epipen does is far too much, not to mention you're giving them roundstart tools. This is essentially the same as giving a human an advanced trauma kit and advanced burn kit at roundstart.
I have mained IPC for the past 3 years and just dumped my box contents roundstart. I would honestly be fine with an empty box. Yes IPCs get damaged easily, theres no doubt in that, however they shouldn't be given tools at roundstart, much less tools that outclass what robotics are given at roundstart.

One thing I will point out is that I've seen quite a few admins and staff members bridgewatch/bridgehobo themselves, presumably because it's a relatively safe spot to admin-ghost from.
This is largely true, especially in my case. I cant speak in regards to the others, but the bridge is a safe spot to aghost from, or as a "tab out to fix production crying" spot it works well.
34 minutes ago, SabreML said:Ingame announcements can only apply for a few hours before the players who saw them are replaced by new ones who didn't, so for many of them it's possible that if they see an admin lying above the bridge talking to people, they could take it as permission or even encouragement for them to do the same.
This entire situation occurred inside one round as far as I know, though I was not there so I cant speak on it fully.

Clone removal has been a commonly discussed topic for the past 7 years on Discord

The "just clone them" crowd in medical still exists. I'm not happy about it.

Zero explanation to how this thread has survived for so long.

Code wise it’s very easy to do. They already have the AI binary comms (I think, correct me if I am wrong), so adding engineering radio as reasonly shouldn’t be that bad.
Actually the binary thing is actually a language but still it shouldn’t be too hard.
My only worry design wise is drones seeing engi comms and thinking they can speak down it, even though they can’t.

Oh hey I can kill this officially now

I appear to be viro.
I have never played viro nor do I have any clue how it works.
Honk.

Making powernets for this would be incredibly difficult, but they shouldn’t be infinite. Having them take a power cell would be fine.
They should do less damage than a normal emitter, but still do some
Tackling the loot is nice but I ain’t sure this is the way forward, but I do like this concept. I love stuff you can work towards to make your job easier / automate it more, but still require user intervention to maintain.

Where does raging tie into this? Or did you just mean that in terms of how much chaos.

Probably a good portion of my adminhelps over the last year or so have been asking if an admin could let me know what x variable is set to
I have never seen a single one of these.
ahelps with the word “variable”
While I am well aware of the usefulness of this, it’s in my boat of “is this really worth adding given the infrequency that it’s needed”

The forums have been upgraded to a new software version.
Everything should be fine, but if you notice any weird quirks please tell me so we can get them rectified.

If someone would be interested into coding and they have 0 experience where would you suggest they start?
I would start on simple spelling fixes, then work your way into slightly more complex things

Shitters who cry “improve don’t remove” on the git with no real context for anything or any drive themselves to improve said thing. If you’re going to crusade with this, fucking improve it yourself.
Same also applies for people who scream “the git is slow you do fuck all”, while also providing no real solution to things other than “work harder”
This post is half “pet peeve” half “Y’all need to fucking grow up”
