Eh, I had to cut through a lof of station walls to put it up. Got that done and one wall up, then had to get busy with other stuff.
-
I remember once spending about 3/4 of a nations round trying to build a such a cage around all of engineering, in a way that the emitters could be inside of it.
-
Look, when I'm ops, I make a point of asking everyone if they know what they are doing in character first. If they don't answer and just run off, I assume they are a dick. Usually, I'm content to just wander off and do their own thing, which is annoying for the team, but it happens. But if they are disruptive, they get ahelped. By which I mean: inform the station before we're ready, declare war if everyone else didn't want it or, as we had in one case, the team leader stealing all donated TC for himself instead of redistributing them and then fucking off.
-
But you only get your TC after you declare war.
-
Eh, eswords are also for breaking windows when you want to save ammo.
-
No, probably not, but you never mentioned them explicitely.
The worst one I was part of when one operative really wanted war and four didn't, so that one operative actually called out "Hello, Nuke Ops here" on coms.

This sounds great in practice but really it would go something like this
Op1 says, "Wow nukies today"
Op3 says, "Crazy right?"
Op chief, "Okay, plan is we go in from ca-"
Op2, "I'm going stealth"
Op1, Op3, Op chief all groan in unison
Oh yeah. Absolutely. You also forgot Op 4 who never speaks a word and just does his own thing and Op 2 who buys nothing except grenades.

Personally, elite hardsuit, e-shield, emag, combat shotgun is enough for most situations. Then come the fancy upgrades.
Also, don't forget to bring a toolbox. At some point, you may have to cut your way through a wall, or break a window, or unbolt something, or deconstruct something. And then you'll be glad that it's there. I like to take some C4 or X4 to deal with walls.
Sticking with the team... it varies. If I roll leader, I make a point of asking if everyone is familiar with procedure. And mention at least twice how their hardsuits and internals work, because I've had too many raids where half the team asphyxiated before we got to the station. If the team looks competent, splitting up into two teams and going for a pincer movement on the captain is not the worst idea. I wouldn't send anyone entirely alone, though.

Wait really? That just opened up whole new fields of destruction for my botany characters. If they can get their hands on plasma.
-
The other problem is that in a lot of jobs, if you experiment wrong, you're going to kill yourself (chemistry), other people (atmos) or the entire station (engineering).

Honestly, the concept of convicts and security has so much going for it it could be an entirely new server. Not sure whether its scope can be reined back to fit into Paradise but its legit cool
That's just old prison station, isn't it? Is that still a thing?

If things had just loaded a bit faster, I would have called myself Grin Fangdango.

You can open the nozzle on a space cleaner bottle so it sprays more per spray. (Okay, not entirely useless, you can load it with other things.)

I know, I know. But there's still Voxes and IPCs and Dionae who are quite different from humans. Even if the voxes are dinosaur people.

Yeah, same for me. There's already too many boring humans with animal heads. More properly alien aliens, please.

How do you take these zoomed out pictures?

I've tried this before on a smaller scale as the clown. Found a Smuggler's satchel in maint and started a "Burried treasure" game over coms, where I hid it under the floor somewhere, filled with random nice looking juink and then gave some hints about where it was. I don't think anyone reacted.
-
Not bad. Actually, I think the game is always best summed by snippets of sec coms. "Why is the HOS dead in the gateway?" or "Who made the Mime into a hulk?" or "Does it count as lethal if I only shoot him twice?".
-
You could also volunteer them as gateway guinea pigs.

Being a tourist, visiting a well-lit station.
"This is a great place! I'll go to the bar at first, then go hug some nurses, then... WAAAAA~"
This is absolutely EVIL (for inattentive visitors)
A real tourist trap.

I guess they need a convenient place to store their equipment. Most jobs have that somewhere, just in case a player is given the job during an ongoing round. It's the same with, say, the clown office, or the mime office, or other one of a kind offices. You go there to get your equipment, then most likely never return. I suppose you could just give them a locker near the captain's office, too.
-
More security probably would not help. A good part of security is always either totally new, too gung-ho about beating up people for misdemeanours or just generally incompetent. More sec to balance more greytide just means more fights, which probably just ends up in riots.

Why do people even incinerate vampires anyways?
I've been asking this for years. They aren't changelings, they can't revive themselves.
Nobody burns traitors and it's an illegal execution method. It doesn't make sense.
I've talked to a few people who did this OOC. Apparently, a good segment of the population thinks that vampires come back from the dead unless burnt or borged (like changelings), since they do in pretty much every other medium.

Heh. Rods are fun.
"The rod penetrates you."
