You have no idea what you're talking about there. Auto-patching isn't a panacea and code freezes are done because the codebase becomes buggy, unstable, underperforms or the gameplay unbalances. All of which happens MUCH faster without stringent curation.

I completely disagree with this philosophy. It's completely antithetical to rewarding charitable work. We're treating 2-line code PRs the same way we treat months of work and responding to community feedback. It's alarming.
Quantity != Quality. Feel free to disagree, and they'll feel free to keep curating the codebase based on the guidelines that were set years ago and have so far worked for us.

1. You don't get to dictate rules or punishments.
2. Singuloth Knights are integrated in our lore, if you'd been a more veteran player you'd already know that.
3. Assuming that 2 headmins would go out of their way to ruin player's enjoyment of the game and then cover each other's back makes me think you are just trying to stir shit up.
4. An event happened. It wasn't maybe the best event, but it was still an event, not grief. Get over it.

The code has been publicly released and we will go through it to find interesting tidbits. I'm at least slightly interested with folding metal chairs and climbing on chairs and kicking people off of chairs and drop-kicking people from chairs.
One thing we will NOT do is port any memes or inside jokes. That means no Heisenbee, No buttbots or butt surgery, etc.

Admins have -never- have to declare events ahead of time, especially if said events are a surprise or should remain secret in any way.

I did not realize that you stopped controlling the singularity after it entered stage 2. However, even only taking into account the damage caused by the stage 1 singularity, which you did control, my earlier statement remains true.
The only damage the stage 1 singularity did was to the engine room itself. That in and of itself never put the crew in danger. Therefore your earlier statement is in fact incorrect.
I say that ZomgPonies' actions are a clear example of so called adminbus, and he ought to be reprimanded for it, and reminded of the proper role of admins on Paradise.I'm sorry that you got caught in the blast of the released Tesla and that the situation ruined the end of the round for you. However the appearance of a Singulo Knight was an event, not adminbuss. Part of the 'proper' role of admins on Paradise is to create interesting situations and scenarios for the players, which this was one of. The fact that you got caught in the fallout of that situation is unfortunate but far from unheard of.

1. A player gave a Singulo Knight the Singulo Gen. This is a fact.
2. The singulo wasn't controlled by admins starting at stage 2, it seems it's slightly bugged and moving around faster than it should on it's own. At stage 1 it seemed broken so I moved it around locally in the engine room to see what was up.
3. You're cherry-picking the logs you want to pick, Gordan specifically said later on he really didn't care, and you're ignoring a bunch of people who found it hilarious
4. The shuttle had docked, there was 3 minutes left in the round.
5. The singulo starting stage 2 was moving on it's own, but seemed to be moving faster than normal.
While your admin complaint is incredibly well formatted, you seem a little misguided in your intentions.

No he did not. The actual server name 'Paradise' does not show up. He just didn't bother setting up a config file yet and that's the default information showing up.

I can't say I support the idea of implementing Pokemon into Paradise. Nevermind the copyright issues, it just doesn't fit the theme at all. The only reason we have ponies at all is because the sprites were just handed to me and it made people mad. They are only used to troll and aren't available outside of adminbus, nor do they have any special code associated with them.
If you want to take Paracode as a base and make a full on total conversion to some sort of Pokemon game, then more power to you.

I am deeply against the prospect of porting tg organ or surgery code. Once I'm done with gangs I can take a look at abductors and seeing if it's a viable thing to port.

Seems to me the problem is with Science, not the AI/borgs. I'll take a look at Science's balance vs the other nations shortly.

Those are all opinions. We've had 14 year old admins on staff that worked out very well so the 'official' position of Paradise is that there's no age restriction. We have strict rules against racism, homophobia and bigotry so as far as the language on the server goes she's pretty covered. Some themes may be mature although we don't allow any ERP.
However, you are responsible for everything that happens on your IP. If she gets your IP banned, your account will also be banned.
She's probably better off using her own BYOND account, you can easily switch between accounts in the client and that will allow her to have her own set of 10 characters.

While the ideas posted here are interesting, as people have said this harkens back to the days of CTF, and we know how that went.
I -will- be looking at round-end conditions for nations 2.3, but expect those round-end conditions to have more to do with diplomacy and cooperation rather than objective gathering/greentext hunting.

Code freeze means bugfixes still go through, so that's not a wrong explanation.
