  1. Pretty sure, yeah. They have their unique organs that let you plant weeds, generate plasma and shit out eggs.
  2. Due to the recent addition of Xeno Organs and Cybernetic implants, I hereby propose the addition of the following list to be added to the Medical and Science SOP: Exotic Implants: Exotic Implants refer to Xeno Organs, Cybernetic Implants or any such exotic materials. General utility implants (such as Welding Shield, Nutriment or Reviver) are unregulated, and may be handed out freely; X-Ray Vision and Thermal Vision implants may be handed out freely, but may have their implantation vetoed by the Chief Medical Officer and/or Research Director (see below); Medical HUDs must be approved by the Chief Medical Officer before implantation, and Security HUDs require express permission from the Head of Security or Warden; Combat-capable Implants (such as the CNS Rebooter or Anti-Drop) are not be handed out without express permission from the Head of Security; Cybernetic Implantation should be performed in Surgery or any such sterilized environment, to reduce the risk of internal infection. If no Surgeons or Doctors are available, the Roboticist can fill in; The Chief Medical Officer and Research Director have the power to veto any Cybernetic Implantation or Xeno Organ Implantation if they believe it threatens the stability of the station or crew. Only the Captain may override this veto; Xeno Organs may be harvested at will, but may not be implanted without express permission from the Chief Medical Officer. Egg-Laying Organs from Xenomorph Lifeforms are strictly forbidden; Failure to follow these Guidelines makes the offending party liable to having their Exotic Implants forcefully removed
  3. So far so good. Loving the cybernetic implants, by the way!
  4. Well, considering the relative lack of discussion regarding this particular SOP (who'da thunk it), and the fact that it's been 3 days since any replies, I'm leaving this open for 3 more days before I move onto the next one.
  5. A literalist interpretation of, say, Crewsimov, would mean the AI would have to listen to anyone who threatens suicide unless the AI does something, a situation that is explicitly referenced in the Server Rules, where it states the AI is free to ignore it. We do not expect AI players to behave like IRL robots because, quite frankly, that would lead to the AI players being given free reign to break a fuckton of Server Rules based entirely on a strict, literalist interpretation of their lawset. And even if no Server Rules were broken, a strict, literalist interpretation that completely ignores any and all context is not fun for anyone except people who abuse the situation. Two points here. First, Rules > Roleplay. Secondly, the Golden Rule. Ask yourself "Is what I'm doing going to significantly impact on the rest of the player's enjoyment of the round?". If yes, then don't do it. I've said it before, and I'll keep saying it. In the context of this game, literalist interpretations of lawsets that completely ignore context and circumstances are bad.
  6. This really only becomes an issue when the AI player decides to legitimately ignore all context and just go with the literalist interpretation of the lawset. Rules > Roleplay, at all times. All lawsets can be abused to hell and back if you go with the letter of it, but that doesn't mean you should do it.
  7. Added the following foreword to the Sec, Medical and Science SOP pages:
  8. Bones lost his pod, so he made the best out of a bad situation!
  9. Emphasis added. EDIT: Woop, last part. Changing to:
  10. Considering NanoTrasen's standard, uh... means of operation, I have no difficulty believing SolGov is just a regular government that expects all corporations operating under it to obey a set of guidelines that, most likely, NanoTrasen's Board of Directors think impacts the bottom line. IE, boring old government.
  11. If your sarcasm was more biting, we'd have to have a "Warning: Dog Sarcasm" sign.
  12. If you leave the station on one of the smaller pods, you get sent to that particular shuttle, rather than CentComm.
  13. That's up to personal preference, really. There are two guidelines concerning how to deliver and send back crates. How you go about accomplishing that is up to you.
  14. Still, it's public access, not just Supply, which is why I'd rather it not be in this SOP.
  15. Added: As for the HoP, well, that's their own thing. We'll get to that.
  16. Eeeh, the final disposals area is kinda public. Not to mention, in 99,999999999999% of rounds, it won't produce anything meaningful compared to, say, Mining.
  17. I'll modify it. It now be: EDIT: Also added: To the end of it
  18. It'll certainly take some adapting to, of that there is no doubt. However, as others have pointed out, the system can always be expanded upon later. For now, focus on getting a non-oh-god-what-the-hell-is-this organ code. It'll be rougher around the edges at first, especially for people who were used to the old system, but it'll most likely lead to a whole neeeeew wooooooooooorld of possibilities. I, for one, am excited to see where this may lead.
  19. And get fired if they slack off too much. Well, first off, not all QMs are Walter Auman. Most QMs will either just give you stuff, or ask for a small signature or minor form. And, well... yeah. Unless there's a major emergency and "WE NEED THIS NOW OR ELSE BAD THINGS HAPPEN", why not have paperwork? This is MedRP, after all. Leaving it "up to them" will result in Cargo arming themselves up and giving guns to the Greytide. I'd rather Security get the pick of it first, as they are the ones who are INTENDED to receive these crates. That said, you raise a fair point with the whole "Brig destroyed" thing, so I'll replace "Brig" with "Security". By abundance, I'm going to say... above 500 points? Seems fair enough. In addition to a caveat about not wasting all of them. Something like: Next up. That is the point of SOP, after all. Just specifying what people should be doing so now they can point at the list and go "Is do that yaya". I'd love to say this wouldn't be necessary. Sadly... *scribbles* It used to say primed Gibtonite, before I realized "Oh wait". 1000 points is bare minimum. IE, enough to print out upgrades, but not enough to have a comfortable margin. That... is actually a valid question. Well, if a miner is suspected to not have done anything, the QM can always ask to see the amount of points on their ID or, alternatively, the gear they bought. ... I legit have no clue how that first part got in there. I'll change it to Xenos only.
  20. As someone who much enjoys spending round upon round sitting on a chair, waiting for surgeries to perform, I can agree with Fox. There is no skill inherent in the Surgery system. It's a series of steps which, so long as you don't move, and you do them on a surgery table with the tools you have, cannot fail. Personally, while I did use the whole "multiple surgeries" thing, it's still admittedly a blatantly ridiculous thing if you think about it. I do not, personally, mind the "one procedure at a time" thing.
