newer here :,) might have seen me in-game as Mallory Roche, and I'm sage on the discord. I do pixel art sometimes! mostly portraits, but I wish to branch out to other stuff eventually. The middle one was emulating someone's style for their character, which is why it looks a bit different from the other two. hoping I get enough motivation to pixel my own character sometime when I'm not busy committing malpractice /s bonus: a work in progress

Because I haven't felt up to drawing lately I'm finally posting old ss13 art from 2017! Wow that's three years ago somehow. I used to draw almost exclusively in pixels til my old tablet broke, and I haven't found a new program I really like yet. First one is my girlfriend's IPC from when she would play chaplain. Glory to Synthetica and all that jazz. I remember what got me into this game besides the cute bird species was watching her sacrifice some random in the chapel to cyborgification. Good times. Second is the character I learned the game with, Mary Wanuh! The name isn't creative, but I had a fun gimmick of obsessing over radiation and gathering the greytide to steal plasma for me only slightly self-antagging Chester, if you're reading this, you were my favorite gang member acolyte. Weirdly enough, I ended up drawing references for her for artfight in late 2018, because I didn't want all my characters on display to just be bird people lol And the most poorly aged, the clown. I don't know why but I hate this one. I also did some pencil sketches around the same time as these that I might as well add to the collection here. This was my old unathi, Aol Haikszru(?) I actually don't remember how to spell her last name Literally no other art of her exists because her only purpose was to let me play as another species until I unlocked vox

Dark times, for a dark mime, side note: That clown gives me the creeps, like picture him down a dark hallway with flickering lights, holding a bloodied knife, as he, not walks, but slides towards you, and the last thing you hear is "Honk"

I don't mind the nicotine addictions to an extent--before this change, cigarettes were a minor buff to someone's abilities, so at least this is somewhat more sensible that someone who's huffing cigarettes won't be in very good shape compared to someone who doesn't smoke. That said, I agree with what's said here that the withdrawal and addiction thresholds are ridiculous, especially taken in direct regard to each other. It's stupid to experience nicotine withdrawal to the point of having a paralysis-inducing migraine while actively indulging the addiction by smoking. There's no way to sustain or keep up with a nicotine addiction as it is, it's basically just a near-immediate penalty that sticks with a character for several minutes after the cigarette runs out. Also, I'd like to see nicotine addiction symptoms changed, if possible. Sneezing and twitching don't really make that much sense, though I'd be happy if it were replaced with something like involuntary coughing.

Not sure why but I've been thinking of sharp minimalistic drawings and decided to make one today.
