In there there will be one or two free Societies to choose from. For example maybe one consists of disaster preppers. Or a fraternity from a Martian college. Karma ones could be more interesting, like membership in a famous mercenary company or whatever. No real mechanical advantage aside from giving people a reason to be friends with strangers and a shared background. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Dumbdumn5 Posted June 13, 2017 Share Posted June 13, 2017 Backgrounds actually sound like ... a really kickass idea, though you might want more than one or two free societies, and karma for different ones is possibly a good idea but might be better left to races and jobs, not something like this that would foster RP with more variety available from the get go. willior13 Posted June 14, 2017 Share Posted June 14, 2017 I like the idea a lot, it would help to fix some of the low RP that I have seen. but on the flip side, it could easily become a meta-clique problem where you have the groups host huge heists and rob everything and basically form greytide clubs.
