  1. Most of the "greytiding" is just breaking the FUCK out of Permabrig. Ive had pretty much one Perma inmate per shift just BREAK EVERY FUCKING machine and all i can really do is toss them in Solitary, where they just break the window in between the two Solitary Cells (which as a note, its not solitary if it has that window). I dont really WANT to execute Perma Prisoners, but if youre being a MASSIVE cunt and just breaking stuff because you KNOW there's no real punishment, thats kind of silly and makes Sec Players just not want to deal with them.

Because, unfortunately, there are people within security/command that desperately want to execute antags at any opportunity because the possibility of them escaping is just too much for them to handle so if there's an option to execute, they'll always want to do it, even if it's not really deserved, per se.

And I truly dont agree with this. 9/10 we dont want to kill Permas because they want/might escape. We call for them to be axed because theyre being MASSIVE bastards in their cell for the SOLE purpose of being mad they got caught in the first 10-20 mins of the shift.

  2. I really, really like the Preferences based polling. Having it be a passive rather than active "vote" seems like a better way to manage it overall too, it seems from what Kyet is saying.

Would the polls include Nukies/Wiz as well? Or would it just be the basic Tator/Vamp/Cling set?

  3. To be honest, i VERY much dislike the notion that they have to get THAT far for it to be "escape". The second you leave the main Perma Cell or the two Holding Cells, you have escaped your containment. The amount of Perma Prisoners that "toe the line" because they know space law enough to do so is VERY large, especially amongst some of the Regulars of the server. Its hitting the point, at least in some of the rounds where im playing Warden, that im having to Solitary prisoners in a straitjacket just to prevent them from breaking glass/being shitters and theres only one of those on station. I get that its part of the job of security to manage the Brig/Perma, but at some point its ruining the fun of the entire role to deal with people having greytide-level fits because they got caught doing something Perma-worthy in the first 10 minutes of the shift.

  4. Im always confused why the "End Game Karma Reminder" option doesnt give a POPUP. Instead, it gives a tiny ITALIC text line that gets lost in the mess that is the text box. I try to give out Karma nearly EVERY round (as long as SOMETHING interesting happened that I deem worthy of it) and sometimes I still forget just due to being in conversation with dchat or something. Having the ability to have a better "Hey, did someone deserve this today" might lead to people wanting to try to earn some Karma, rather than just let it sit.

Edit: AffectedArc reminded me that popups stop actions, so it might be a pain if youre in the middle of fighting someone.

While you can't revive someone that uses the suicide verb normally, many people that kill themselves in sec custody do it via punching themselves or similiar. That doesn't set the suicide flag like using the verb does.

This. The amount of times i have to treat people 2-3+ times as Warden for punching themselves to death, then getting the straitjacket, and eventually just saying "fuck it" and bodybagging them due to Slings/Clings/Tators being more important that a Civvie punching himself to death over a 15min sentence, is a tad nuts. I REALLY hate doing it, but at the same time, wasting 10 minutes on someone who's just doing it for attention or to annoy Security isnt gonna catch much sympathy from me.

I do think that there needs to be some sort of "warning" written into the SoP so that a Warden/HoS/Officer can say "Hey, buddy, youre gonna have to NOT do that, because if you continue, we're not obligated to treat/stop you". Perhaps give the Psych a job to do, by having them declare them Suicidal or something? (though this might not work as well due to many Psychs just playing the role for access to meth/weed/etc and just disappearing) Those would be the small nitpicky SoP rules thatd have to be thought of to make it so that a new player can be TAUGHT that punching yourself to death isnt "sticking it to the Sec Team" but instead just makes their lives more frustrating because the prisoner cant handle punishment (which is USUALLY rather small, anyway) for their choices.

  6. During a Discord conversation it was discussed that the standard practice for suicides in the Brig (including ones where they just beat themselves to death because they're Tiders) is typically to tag em as DNR and let that be the end of that. I know in the past I've AHelp'ed for permission to do so and was given the green light. Is it possible to add to Medical General or Coroner SoP that suicides are to be treated as DNR? Or to expand on it, maybe list cases where DNR is to be applied under Coroner SoP (such as executions). I know Coroner SoP states: "The Coroner must ensure Security-based DNR Notices (such as executed personnel, for instance) are respected", but having a list of said DNR cases under Medical SoP may help prevent cases of Coroners or even Doctors from accidentally reviving DNR-marked bodybags.
