Biography:
TURING was "born" in Colony-2814E, New Canaan, 2529AD. TURING spent the first 15 years of his existence learning and studying various topics about the galaxy at large, ranging from galactic philosophy to blue-space theory to human history. TURING gave himself his name in 2531 after learning about a human mathematician from old human history named Alan Turing, and his creation of "the Turing test". Pondering the philosophy of if a computer can be considered "human", TURING studied long-distance at the Luna Academy of Medicine and Psychology, using an alias of "Isaac Gates" to avoid suspicion. He graduated in 2549AD, and after the IPC Rights Recognition charter was signed in 2554, requested his doctorate be transfered to his real identity.
His doctorate was immediately invalidated and TURING was subsequently banned from further study at the academy, with an arrest warrant in Trans-Sol territory for Identity Fraud.
TURING entered employment with Nanotrasen in 2560 in an attempt to "become further knowledged in actions of organic personnel". TURING became dissatisfied with the terms of his contract approximately two months into his employment, and has repeatedly attempted to
break freecancel his employment contract since.Recent outside hobbies include music production, painting, and story writing. TURING states that "Self jealous of continued organic stigmatism of synthetic intelligences. Self desires creation of culture and works of art for IPC to refer to as own".

I would be satisfied with the oil alone. I often make a point of chucking out the oxygen tank and mask at round start just for the extra box room.

The masked killer idea reminds me a lot about Dead By Daylight and Last Year: The Nightmare. Both good games worth checking for inspiration for this one.
I haven't been lucky enough to experience one of these rounds (yet), but just the concept and reports of these has me hooked for the possibility of more.

I've always been confused why discount offbrand NERF guns would be considered contraband and worthy of getting you thrown in the brig. I've tried to order them for fun a few times in the past, and to have someone say "its contraband" to a toy is something I find weird.

If this were added, I can guarantee I would make a few scenarios. Even just a combat training course for new miners to prepare.

I am, of course, on the side against this proposal. I also want to add this would completely invalidate the point of races, karma races moreso. "Oh, you spent 30k on vox? Too bad, you now have a random chance to play it instead playing what you worked for"
Heck, karma in general would become obsolete. I, personally, struggle to identify 16-bit spessmen without a unique name attached to them. If I see civilian A saying some snappy dialogue in the bar, unless they have a name I can actually remember, I'll probably mix them up with greytide B. And if I don't give them karma right then and there, good luck finding Mr generic among the swarm of other Mr generics on the shuttle.
In short, no.
EDIT: Ever played D&D? The original (and best IMO) roleplaying game? Yeah, you don't randomise your character every session. You build on your character and each others. There's literally a bonds section on your sheet. The game would die pretty fast if, instead, you had to go from cowardly but charismatic rogue to boring, calculating wizard, then dumb, hillbilly barbarian. You would only remember and bond with characters because you can physically see the people playing them. Literally every other RP server I know, not just for ss13 either, focuses on having your character as one you build on and interact with, not randomly assigned whenever you get on.

Exactly this. I've tried security a few times, found it high stress with not enough payoff. Any way to make it more rewarding, or at least forgiving, would be a step in the right direction imo

Here's an idea from some vampire mythology that could help balance it out. The vampire can only have one sire, which must follow their masters every order until they drink enough blood for their master to release them, turning them into a full vampire. Until that point, however, they retain some/all of the weaknesses suggested.
