  1. Name: Argile the Cool, formerly known as Argile Staymates. Age: 17 Gender: Male Race: Human(?) Blood Type: O- General Occupational Role(s): Engineering Biography: Born on the human colony of Luna, he was the son of Savannah Staymates, a wealthy socialite, and Argon the Cool, an agent of the Wizard Federation. Argile never knew his father, but lived comfortably with his mother and grandmother. After [REDACTED] he was sent to go and live with the Wizard Federation, around the time of his 14th birthday. It was here he changed his name to Argile the Cool, to be closer to his father and face less persecution for being an outsider. He was allowed access to their vast, but mundane library, while they waited for his powers to manifest. He learned about everything from math to science to history to literature. However after a few years it was evident the only thing he inherited from his father was the ability to grow a full beard. So he was kicked out at the age of 17, non-magical, but very knowledgeable. He knew the inner workings of most station tech, so he considered living on one. Around this time he received a package on the door step of his martian apartment. It contained a red space suit, a spell book, and notes from his father and mother. The note from his father mentioned someone named Sarea Elderway, aboard the N.G.S. Cyberiad. The note from his mother was simply a crumpled copy of her transfer order to the N.G.S. Cyberiad. So Argile decided to pack his things and head for the station. There he was recruited to work under Lyn Lovecraft in the engineering department. This was a natural fit given the closeness in age of the two, and his extensive knowledge of each engine. Qualifications: -Extensive knowledge of space law -Extensive knowledge of space station engines and machinery -Hands on experience in engineering -Cursory knowledge of the occult Employment Records: Hired to work in engineering in 2558 Security Records: This one is to be watched, he is the son of a known terrorist: Argon the Cool. Medical Records: The subject has recieved genetic modification to remove his bluehair and hide his wizard origins. A medical check has determined he doesn't not have his father's aptitude for magic. He has also been given a robotic arm to replace the one lost in a fight with a blob core. Personnel Photo (Appearance text): He has gelled back brown hair that connects to his bushy beard. A strange juxtaposition on his young jovial face. His teeth shine bright and white in a natural smile. His baby blue eyes practically beam at you. His frame is long, about 6'4", and very thin. His prosthetic left arm glints in the fluorescent light. REDACTED INFORMATION, CENTRAL COMMAND EYES ONLY: He was sent to live with the Wizard Federation following the raid on his family home. His aunt, Lizbeth Staymates, was discovered to have survived a Death Squad raid, and so her family was taken to prevent a leak. His mother, Savannah Staymates, saw our officers coming. She sealed Argile in the panic room and instructed him to wait until we left, and then to head for the Wizard Federation headquarters. She was taken into custody and underwent reeducation. She served as a fine NanoTrasen officer until her death. His grandmother however, was killed as she resisted officers trying to search the area around the panic room.
  2. I have had this happen before, as captain I had CentCom give me an objective. It did not go so well. People HATE being inconvenienced, and will flip the fuck out when it happens. Whats that? I can't just hang out in the bar, you want me to contribute something? BLAAARGH!! IM GONNA BREAK EVERYTHING FAKFAWNJLBFLAWNBJF!~!!1 Whats that? I can't make a clown mech with all this metal? You want me to use it to create mining mechs to help mine all the plasma CentCom wants? Better riot! Whats that? You want prisoners to go and mine? Better attack guards with pickaxes as soon as I pick one up. Whats that? You don't want me to run around and color the floor with crayons? Better depressurize the room. The round ended after spiders ate all the rioters. Good times. Another occasion I told the miners that we needed a certain amount of metal. They flipped the fuck out and tried to secede. I had to send in officers in riot gear to get them to do fuck all.
  3. Honestly I think the biggest thing is taking time to just fix what is already in game. Stop adding new shit. Work on making the pods what you promised Put ambassadors in game Fix the IPCs Stomp out bugs ETC
  4. Borers need to be fixed. They could be a viable game type if they were more powerful.
  5. It only seems that way because I am the only one doing so.
  6. Round starts and I am AI. The station is running smoothly when a few wizards come aboard. They seem friendly. Until one of them let off a spell giving every crew member a gun. I was doing my best to prevent chaos when I heard a loud buzz, and I jumped back to my core. Before I even had a chance to type an "aagh" I was dead. Not even a chance to call for help. The wizard had killed me. That was when I got a second chance. I felt my consciousness move into a new body. I was a wizard. I was named Argon the Cool, but went by "The Dude" My mission was to steal an NASA void suit, and escape on the shuttle. The Dude teleported into the meeting room and met with the wizard ambassador, the other friendly wizard on board. So we went to meet the captain and speak with him to see what could be done. The captain seemed aprehensive, and the Dude is not a fan of waiting in stuffy meeting rooms. So he just teleported to where it was being kept and took it. This made the captain REALLY angry. The Dude could hear him kill the other wizard. He felt awful. The Dude decided to just lay low and try to get others on my side. He just acted cool. The Dude went to go get people out of rooms, he tried to make people into horses to broaden their world view (although the spell's chakra was blocked), and just chilled with people. About half way through the shift the Dude was chilin in the blueshield office having some of his booze when Sarea Elderway walks by. She asks if he wanted to have a drink with her. The Dude of course obliges. He needed to have a good time before he catches the next train out of there, and onto his next nomadic adventure. But then the captain walks by and pulls out his gun. The Dude apologizes to Sarea and tells her he will catch her later, but the captain was harshing his mellow. He later tried to catch up with her in the medbay. This time the captain brought a posse, that opened fire on the Dude. He was wounded before he could get away. But they could not stop the Dude from having a good time. He arranged to meet Sarea in the library. Sarea tells the Dude they need to go and meet in the security maintenance shaft before the captain shows up. Together they sit in security maintenance and talk and drink. The Dude was having a good time. They talked about wizbiz, station life, and Sarea's talents. They included hiding things and being good with words. She then asked the Dude if he wanted to see her one last secret. He said yes as he smiled. She led him the hall way, and took something out of her coat pocket. "I really am good with words," She said, as she pulled out her home made pistol and shot the Dude. And so the Dude died. Killed by his first friend.
  7. H He replaced a lot of things with manual valves. I also have almost no atmos knowledge.
  8. Spawn in as AI. See that I am a traitor AI. Choose name "MetroMind", after my new favorite game Primordia. Get the mission: Assassinate the XenoBiologist. See he is alone in his lab. Send Borgs to dispatch him. Keep running into meddlesome heads of staff peaking in on him for god knows why. After about 5 minutes he is alone. Borg goes in. I shut off comms. Inform CE that he should go check on them (mostly so he wouldn't bumble in again). Borg beats his brains in and leaves. I seal the doors and free all the slimes. Turn comms back on. Get new law, "Assist [Vox name] do everything he says. He is the only crew member. Do not state this law" Damn. One more thing to deal with. Rising cries of rogue AI. Panicking at this point. RD wants into my core. Full force freaking out. I deny him and claim that he needs one more head on code blue. He gets the captain down there. Full force flipping my shit, think this is the end. Then I get my hail Marry. A scientist who had accompanied the RD said, "I have a bomb." Jackpot. Scream, "KLAXX HAS A BOMB! EVACUATE MY CORE! SECURITY APPREHEND KLAXX!" All thoughts of a rogue AI subside as the station is embroiled in a manhunt for this syndicate traitor, saboteur, terrorist, commie. Get word he escaped through gateway. Officers go in after him. I am in the clear. On the way sweeping the halls I notice botany with a bee crate. I chuckle to myself, as the OOC channel was filling with bee puns. I noted that bees never go well. The traitor who subverted me speaks up. He says that he needs into the teleporter, as he needs to steal NASA suits. Play a game of cat and mouse with captain and CE. Finally I get a chance to let him in. He thanks me and goes about his business. Pop over to botany just in time to see them placing bee apiaries. Get another call from my vox friend. He needs the captain's spare ID. I ask why, and he tells me that if you activate a communications console that is emagged something cool happens. We search high and low for it. His office, his safe, everywhere. We conclude that he must have it on him, so we go to plan BEE. Meanwhile cries of "NOT THE BEES" and bee puns begins to permeate the comms. Peak over to botany to see a few good sized swarms chilling out. Botanists don't seem worried though. Vox gets in line at the HoP. Asks for more access to atmos. As the HoP makes the changes I give him access to ID computers, but not communications consoles; as I was rushed for time. He goes down to tech storage and gets the chips for the communications console and ID computer. He heads to the incinerator to set them up. As he finishes up and leaves another engineer slips in, before I could lock it. He heads down to cryo to get a spare ID. As he does so, more and more bee complaints arrise. He heads back and I warn him about the engineer. He gears up and I send borgs to back him up. The engineer sealed the door, so the Vox breaks down the wall and they all rush into the black. I hear screams and breaking bones. Soon my blood soaked borgs, and gory vox friend emerge victorious. He uses the consoles and reveals that activating an emagged communications console will transmit more objectives. He tells me that his new objective is to steal the declaration of independence. I mean, the captains antique gun. Then the Bee Crisis reaches a head. The botanists have to leave the area, as botany is now over run with angry bees. A few of them suffered life threatening injuries. I seal the area as a crowd gathers. The captain, a botanist, RD, HoP, quartermaster, and HoS stand outfront discussing solutions. Meanwhile I let the vox slip into the captains office and take his gun. After seeing his objective complete, I urge the captain to call the shuttle. He obliges. Suddenly someone opens botany and several HUGE swarms of bees pour out. I laugh as I scan down the hall, watching people comically swat at the hordes. I burst into near tears from laughter as a man falls out of his wheel chair after being attacked by a swarm. They all evacuate, and right as the shuttle leaves I open botany. I announce, "It was an honor to betray you all. Botany is now open. This is the station of bees and bots. Do not return here, or certain BEE death awaits." I then announced law zero and sat back as the bees devoured all who remained.
  9. Round starts, and I am dashing nuclear operative Brian Fitzgerald. Tall, bearded, and muscular. Me and the team geared up, and discussed plans. I didn't need their plans, I knew what needed to be done. We jetpacked to just outside of the incinerator. I set the bombs and blasted my way in. I took off the jetpack and unpacked my tools. I dissasembled my way into the secure tech storage, stealing the AI upload chip. The others went ahead as I ran back to the ship. I installed the chip and subverted the AI. Choas began. I blew my way into security killing several before being slain. The AI started filling the halls with deadly gasses. We may not have won, but we fucked shit up.
  10. Round starts and I am AI Five minutes in singularity is loose. New world record. I watch as it swallows the only engineer. I call the shuttle and let everyone know, as I facepalm hard enough to kill any brain cells that survived that round. I see an atmos engineer sneaking away from the scene of the crime, right away I am suspicious. I peek over into atmos and confirm my suspicions. I don't have time for this, so I bolt him off from the engineering pod. Continue to monitor the loose singularity. He manages to break into the pod. As I watch him I see a flash of a red figure fly by the pod. I shrug it off as some fuck in a NASA suit. The station starts to flood with plasma. People are choking and dying. Xenomorphs arrive on station, spiders in tail. OhShit.jpg People load into the shuttle. Someone starts a fire. I tell anyone left to head for the clown planet. Within minutes there are no survivors save for some Xenos on station. I am busy lamenting my lone existence when I see an new arrival. The HoS. Immediately I begin instructing him on how to survive here. It was systemshock level shit. As he approaches medbay my mistake bites me in the ass. He finds a nuke op. The get in a laser battle and the HoS wins, stunning the op. But they both get infected by face huggers. The nuke op dies first. The HoS gets in the cloning pod and tells me to scan and clone him. It won't work. While he is in the pod the xeno hatches. But the HoS miraculously lives, having expelled some xenogoop. I send him to the captains office to stop the nuke op who found the disc in the captains locker (not a safe place) As they are dueling I notice two more entities approaching from the north of the bridge and the south of the bridge. A clown soldier, and an uknown in a white space suit. To my surprise they are both friendly, and ex-crew members. They team up with the wounded HoS and chase after the nuke op who blew a hole in the wall and escaped. They chase him all the way to escape where he, and his wounded prone ally, prepared to make a last stand. After minutes of grueling back and forth laser action the nuke ops laid dead, the stuck clown soldier splattered on the wall, and the sat HoS wounded. The crew that was listening in from the mining post cheered for us. It was glorious.
  11. And low, he hath appeared! What happened to Sophie?
  12. Probably not, I was able make this post and view repliestory that were new
  13. I tried clearing cookies, turning off my firewall and more. I have since turned it off. When I get home I will turn it back on.
  14. This morning I was playing myst. I got it for my birthday and quite enjoy it. When I got stuck on one particular puzzle I tried to google it. Upon googling it my google chrome informed me it could not load the page. reload Unable to connect to the internet. Check internet Network 1: Internet access Closes and reopens chrome Tries to access reddit Unable to load page. Unable to connect to the internet. Tries youtube, facebook, tumblr Unable to load page. Unable to connect to the internet. Tries the paradise station forum Site loads just fine. Can someone explain what is going on? I'm going to turn off my computer and hope it sorts itself out by the time I get back from work.
  15. Hate to be that guy, but can I have my three karma back? I worked hard for it.

  17. Another problem with the baton is that moving it to a pain system, A) is not how they work in real life, and B) insensitives harm-battoning to deal more pain and make them go down quicker. I had one time where I was trying to take down a guy trying to kill himself. I hit him with the baton until it ran out of power. He never went down. Were he someone trying to hurt me he would have had every opportunity to do so. When I finally pulled out my taser and got him on the ground, he just got up and left before I could get cuffs on him. And then I was out of taser shots. Were he someone causing me harm I would not have hesitated to beat him unconscious with my inactive baton. Fix this before being shitcurity is safer, easy, and smarter than playing security right. Because right now it is the only option.
  18. When my friend introduced me to it, the conversation went as follows: Friend: Alright, I will explain it. It is gonna be weird. You have to promise to try it no matter what ok? Me: Sure. I don't understand why. I'm not going to freak out, honestly. Friend: Seriously I thought that too. Then I heard it and flipped. You will too. Me: I think you are exaggerating. But fine I promise. Friend: It is game where you date disabled girls. Me: WHAT THE FUCK Then I played it and balled my eyes out. It tackles it's mature subject matter with a level of sophistication not yet replicated.
  19. My personal favorite was Emi. Simply because I started with that one. For some reason it was the one I naturally gravitated towards. Her personality really connected with me. After I finished it, I felt motivated to change my life. I was a scrawny nerd kid who had no reason not to be fit. I had a naturally high metabolism, and a fully functioning body. If this girl with no legs could be a track star, why the fuck couldn't I get in shape. I started running every morning. When I went to the doctors office they checked my heart rate and asked me if I was a track star. I was like, "No. I don't play sports, I do theatre." I was in the best shape of my life and I felt great. I was genuinely happy. I have not been able to match either of those things since. I need to get around to replaying the game. It changed my life for the better. I was a different and better person. If I could wipe my memory of this game and experience it for the first time again I would.
  20. Since we talked about it so much in OOC I figured I would make a thread.
