  1. I can't seem to locate the event thread so I am putting it here for now.

    Fatal virus event.

Patient zero will come down with stage one which is a cough. Announcement will issue a warning about the biohazard by Central Command. Going by crew, some will either not take notice or assume it is just a cold. This virus will remain unknown and no cure noted.

Stage two: the patient zero will either start stuttering OR walk as slowly as a diona. Not both. Hopefully they go see medbay and get isolated and examined.

Stage three: Patient zero either stops talking cometely or stop moving completely. Whatever was hit in stage two. Go seek medical attention.

Stage four: Virus is now airborne. If not secured the virus will spread.

Stage five: organs start to fail. Slowly but surely. You will die.

The cure: it should be complex. Central Command should be faxed by captain or NT rep for the cure. They will either announce or fax the ingrediants that uses the ORM, chemistry, and Virology.

Agreed. It literally does not have an illegal use. I've had officers chase me for having bags, and once was threatened with perma for having a bag and a military belt (the belt I understand as you can ltierally have guns in it).

Oh no, it's painted the colors of the enemy. So's syndicate brand soap. And playing cards. Shit, even the big S balloon, while a blatant giveaway, is not contraband. So why is a bag which only offers dufflebag storage without the usual slow of carrying a dufflebag illegal? I've literally had sec ignore murderers to try and wrangle it off me because everyone knows nobody who actually carries one openly is an antag and therfor it makes you a safe target to chase around and arrest.

    Quick, get Sam

Make unclonability for whatever reason  a char preference ala NT relations/disabilities AND HAVE IT COME UP IN BIG RED LETTERS when someone tries to scan the corpse, problemo en el solvedad?

That is the reason this topic was made, to encourage players to voice their interest so something like this could happen

It's not, but when a suggestion is made due to a "snowflake" thing which could potentially affect the entire server then it deserves a lot more thought.

It was label by players when I firsted started off ignoring cloning.

    I mean, I am

However I do agree a option somewhere in preferences would be nice. I simply have no desire for some characters to be cloned even though they are cloneable, and it would remove some hassle if a preference toggle would auto-reject my cloning process, or something of that nature.

I placed a suggestion a long time ago to remove clone. A lot of people had mixed feelings.

Yeah, I also play a character who is "uncloneable" for IC reasons but nobody ever checks her medical profile so usually I just end up stubbornly afking as a ghost in the corner of the map and flicking in and out of my corpse occasionally to remind people strange reagent exists.

(Well, Sam can BE cloned, it's just really really bad and traumatic for her for various reasons and she has an alternate method of revival offstation)

It would be really neat to have an uncloneable toggle in preferences like Rurik said. Only a few snowflakes would use it, myself included, but it would also force medical to be less "whatever" about letting patients die so I love the idea for that alone.

I wonder how hard it would be to code...

It is either that or make it some way to make them read medical records. Like security profiles. You know

  7. No one is in favor removing cloner from medbay, it would be great to have an option to accept or deny cloning.

Due to my "snowflake" bio, my character has unstable DNA to clone. I have no option stop cloning and I am sometimes AFK and forget to leave body before they read my medical profile and clone. It is a waste of biomass.

Is it possible to add an option either in preferences or have it ask you to clone or not?

EDIT: Or enforce medbay to read user's medical history...

If you want an easy nerf to the sting, make it delete the genome you've stung the person with.

You stinging people comes at the cost of a loss of your possible identities from earlier DNA extraction stings. This makes its use call for some thinking, because it's now a tactical trade-off. This already has a balancing feature as well wherein a changeling needs to transform in order to DNA extract more than four-five people, so they can't  go around recklessly lol-stinging people with no detriment.

I like the idea of deleting the genome.. unless... they take my DNA and change everyone to Wolf. I be OK with that.

I think that validhunting rule is fine as it is.

However... how does it work with Xenobiology's creatures? I had a round when I've become an alien hunter and was SPECIFICALLY told by my Master AND the Security that my job is to hunt a certain Vampire. The Vampire killed me, but before he did that I was called a validhunter. Again, I had no hard feelings towards the players, so I pinged an admin, who was also civil about this and told me that my Master shouldn't even ask me to do such a thing.

Is this an official statement of the server? Because xenobiology creatures seem to be sort of a grey zone in regards to that... and they do not have a "job" per se.

I'm not saying that the Vampire was unjustly angry at me, nor that the Security and Xenobiologist intended to do validhunting.

The whole situation just felt.... weird?

Always ahelp if you feel conflicted. It is okay if you're working with security. For your master, only protect them if they are in danger but don't kill.

I like to go with the rule of "If there is not a gun pointed at your head, you have to right to kick their ass if they *insert crime or something bad like attempted kidnapping, etc, here*". That's how I play. Sure I get bwoinked, but nothing big. I don't actively hunt.

    *Flexes* Kick ass you say?
