  1. While jobs like scientist could have incredibly high slots, such would be impractical as it would make antags such as cults who base themselves there have an even stronger foothold, converting all of science/medbay/engineering is already devastating, giving more slots to these departments could prove problematic for conversion antags, thus I find scaling the requirements for these may also be necessary when adding this. Scaling the amount of thralls the shadowlings need to ascend is already a good step forward, and for cult perhaps it requires nine on the rune and X cultists in the world for it to function, then again that's just my two cents. Don't get me wrong, I am all for getting the greytide out of civilian and actually learning roles to contribute to the server.
  2. It sounds like a decent idea which has good reasons, however I can see far too much potential for abuse to allow it to go through, for example going SSD after stealing a high importance item and using the bot to evacuate you from the area. Personally I think the idea sounds good on paper, but when applied and put into effect it simply won't work
  3. As a traitor specific item I could see some use for it, however as its stamina damage as opposed to an immediate stun I'd say you'd have to set the TC price fairly low, as it allows less time to steal the headset and prevent anyone from saying anything. It makes a cool idea as a backup weapon though, and I could see myself using it.
  4. Would be a good change that's fairly simple, having to keep the AI detector in your pocket is annoying and really devalues the item if you are someone who values the use of pockets.
  5. The concept of this is really cool, I could see some good practical uses for this during rounds where nukies declare war and there is not enough armor to provide everyone, so the assistants draw their crowbars and cable coils and make themselves some floor tile armor. Personally I think a good way to balance out the cheap cost of this armor is for a chance for it to fall apart, which can be negated slightly by adding additional cable. Overall its a good suggestion, however its uses a somewhat limited.
  6. Too add onto your point, Doukan, perhaps make it so those who escape on pods are spared, based on the fact that they land on a secondary shuttle which in turn can be checked for quarantine. I dislike the concept of forcing the shuttle to not be callable during blobs/xenos as I feel it would take away the crew desperately trying to leave because they know it's helpless. Forcing the AI to block the shuttle often causes OOC salt which makes an already stressful role seem even more stressful
  7. Personally, I do not think this will be a good idea, giving practically everyone on the station the ability to decrease the damage of the most widely used lethal weapons does not sound too great. And giving command an extra snowflake one is also not a great idea, as it's essentially feeding them more traitor power. Making this a science item is out the question and it would have to have a very high traitor TC price to justify it being in without being unbalanced.
  8. That would be a decent compromise, it gets the main point across of preventing "HALP XYZ IS A CHANGELING!!!!!!"
  9. Thats also why you dont wear your department clothes or even use gear from it for murder. Dress in clothes from vendor or get uniform of other department. People often leave their jumpsuits in changing room carelessly. Thats a good opportunity to get a disguise to fool security and your target. True yes, However CMD will prevent those who are revived from literally the impossible, for example the pod pilot finding the brain you happened to throw out an airlock, and then being on the receiving end of "XYZ IS TRAITOR LYNCH PLS TY"
  10. Sometimes murdering others is unavoidable in order to maintain your cover, and I would much rather be forced to play dumb and be able to rejoin the round. How many times have you yourself been taken out the round because you walked in on an antag murdering someone? Would you rather just play dumb about it and continue playing, it gives people a chance and reason to actually try and force an autopsy to find out how they died.
  11. I understand what you mean, and to a degree, it is a balance change, but also our status of midRP is.... slipping so to speak It's more or less a QOL change so people can actually get back into the round more often after they get revived.
  12. It's not so much about balancing traitor, we are a medium RP server, not a hippie-style no RP, we have standards. Clone Memory Disorder would work perfectly fine on the server, and it would enhance the overall antagonist experience as you no longer have to debrain, space the body and burn the brain just to be sure you don't see ten minutes later *XYZ KILLED ME!!!* on public comms
  13. For people who have been around awhile, we've all been victims to the situation where someone you killed is revived and they immediately scream over public comms "X is a traitor he killed me at Y with Z". Of course you can always hide the body better, however, that takes someone out the round if you had to kill them because they witnessed a murder and were not your original target. CMD, also known as Clone Memory Disorder means that you remember no events that caused your death when you are CLONED or REPAIRED (if IPC), this essentially means that if you meet these circumstances you are no longer permitted by the rules to immediately inform people that X is a traitor. This in turn gives more incentive for people who do have to kill others not to have to permanently take them out the round, as they know they are protected from the rules as long as they get cloned and not defibrillated. The only issue I could see with this would put further pressure on the administration team, however the overall benefits from this are incredibly good for the quality of life for antagonists. Please discuss below.
  14. Such an action would put a large amount of unneeded strain onto chemists, particularly new ones who will not be as fast at using a chem-master
  15. Such would make the parapen practically useless, if you can just take one off every medical doctor in existence.
  16. He means it's an unblockable stunner basically. Every click injects 5u of what ever you load up. Ether bottles spawn in medivends, hacked vends have toxins and various other chems can be acquired by nonantags that are lethal or screw you up bad. We also have Syringe Guns that let us load any syringe we want and hit you farther away. With the Goon hypospray they have safety features that don't allow you to load toxins in to it. Not to mention Antags have a far greater array of things to use then the hypospray. It'd be another thing to deal with for sure, but I imagine a compromise could be reached to help make this easier to live with. I mostly enjoy the hypospray for the simple fact you can make it far more customizable then you could with a regular syringe or even an autoinjector. Get found with a syringe gun without a valid reason and appropriate authorization you will be brigged. And that emag function to remove any safeties sounds like something thats painful to deal with, someone coming up to you at full speed? Just inject five units of sarin and wait for them to start passing out. The wait for an injection is not long and its perfectly reasonable, and before you pull the "Parapen is silent and can be filled with any chemicals" style of argument, remember that the parapen has one use, while an emag has many many more uses, such as emaging drones, doors and even some computers can be emagged
  17. Because giving every medical doctor who has no idea what a Hypospray is or what half the chemicals do in it is a good idea. The CMO's one is intended to be special as it's their job exclusive item, alongside with the compact defib. We don't need to give every medical doctor the ability to waste chemicals because they decided to inject thirty units of X to cure two points of toxin damage.
