I don't really keep track of it anymore. After so long I've lost the ability to different my characters very much (not that I was very good at crafting unique personas anyway) and apathy has become rather pervasive (much to my own dismay).
I remember people I like (or who stand out across multiple rounds for one reason or another), though I random-name on almost all of my "characters" (who're mostly just hollow avatars at this point, feelsbadman). I also remember people who're antagonists exceedingly frequently to the point where I can often identify them if they random-gen. Just a habit. I remember aspects of jobs that let me be more productive, antagonists, etc. But I legitimately forget most rounds I play-- it's not really by choice. I just can't recall them, so my "characters"(tm) can't possibly do so either. I rarely integrate round events into the shallow tales of my personas because they're often so disastrous it doesn't make sense (though I often survive) but when I do it's pretty much just for novelty or to utilize a newly added feature (however temporary).
I try to remember good jokes I've heard but alas, I forget much of those too!
I really just gotta work on my character development more. Never been one of my strong suits, and I most regretfully can't recall how I played the one character I started with that got me half of my lifetime earned karma.

I just feel that names should make sense according to the lore of the species/history of the character without jumping too far over the fourth wall. However that is accomplished doesn't matter to me, so I went ahead and chose "Any names from any fiction the admins deem famous."

I think (like just about all of botany rn) it's bloody hilarious and that it should be limited rather than removed.

I just want to make it clear that the colourblindness PR was changed to meet demands as was required. That's not to say it can't be made mandatory, the default option or whatever in the future, but I don't think it's wise to hold out hope that it will due to the duality of existing opinions on the matter (something I was surprised to find so controversial despite the rationale and outs that were offered).
I'd like to see where this leads.

Loading said number-names if saved to SQL is still busted, however, in the exact same manner that that one PR you linked that got merged in September fixed.
I've a PR up that fixes the SQL bit now, and I'm documenting it here just in case people see it on the GitHub and get curious

I think the least snowflakey way to handle this would be to add such features to a handle_drunk proc on the species datums or something.

I'm almost certain if I made the PR for that I'd get shot down without much thought. It's just one of those things... Keep that in mind.

Why not just configure code-word highlighting with the functionality we got with Goon-chat?
Click the cog, configure the words you want highlighted. That'll do what you're all looking for, no PR merge required.
I'm going to admit that I don't use the Goon-chat string highlighting feature nearly enough (if at all) and when I do, I'm certain I don't realize its potential. But there is potential! You just have to configure it.
