    I really think those commenting on the Vulp cliques are failing to understand that this really isn't restricted to just their race at all. It's simply more noticeable due to the amount of them who are active members in the community, compared to the other races. IPC's for example can be just as bad if not worse at times, especially in regards to the 'sticking together and backing each other up' thing with Synthetica and all.

     

    Hell, I'd actually say in the past humans were the worst offenders of it, not so much now but certainly before, they definitely were on the same level as Tajarans, except those two races simply got more hate because they're played frequently by furries. Yes, a large portion of the furry community is god awful, but plenty are perfectly nice people from what I've seen. And yes, I can say that pretty confidently considering I played one of the most cliquey human characters and was directly involved in it. Do I regret it? Not really, we always interacted with everyone else, it wasn't a closed off thing. Cliques only really become a problem when they close off interaction from everyone else, they'll always form naturally so I don't consider them an issue until they reach that point, which unfortunately a few of them have.

     

    I do agree on the point others have made that the game should really feel more dangerous, LINDA reduces lag a lot but atmos is just the most boring thing now, almost zero danger involved compared to the lethality of ZAS, if it's possible to increase the risk of atmos at all without too much performance cost it should be done. More updates to make the station less of a worker's utopia with zero things to be worried about other than the occasional antagonist would be incredibly beneficial to the server.

    IPCs are probably the worst in terms of cliques. The issue with them in terms of community is the logic of "hey, machines are cool and totally not associated with weirdos in the same way that a group of fursuits are", along with being cool in concept. The issue with them is that they are just exclusive enough to be considered special, whilst common enough to be able to be cliquey enough on a wide enough scale to make the round less enjoyable. I'm frankly so fed up IPC cliques that I've had to turn my long-time IPC character into an Uncle Ruckus in order to feel better about the situation.

     

    In regards to the last point, I miss being relevant as an atmos tech, even if no ZAS.

    Dude, all races aside from greys (because no one plays greys) are cliquey as hell. I'd say IPCs are the worst due to there being so many of them, just everyone complains about the vulps because they are the newest.

    If I had a pound for every time a thread like this is made and all of the sec players come out of the woodwork and cry about shitters suiciding after being brigged, I'd have roughly give pounds. Personally, I quite enjoy having the ability to show my dissatisfaction (in a totally victimless way) with command/sec/the crew in general which is more dramatic than just screaming at them over comms.

    EDIT: although I can imagine why its frustrating to have prisoners suciciding as a sec officer, as the sec officer no longer gets to an opportunity to gloat and grandstand to their captive audience.

    corbyn is a fucking joke and is the equivalent of taking Labour out back and shooting it in the of the head. upshot of which is: UKIP won't sit around UKIPPING as they sre guaranteed little opposition from Labour in 2020, and they make gains.

    nige is just a libertarian, not some soulless neocon or crazed red.

    speaking of elections, the UK general elections last year were a complete joke. ＢＡＳＥＤ  ＮＩＧＥ got 12% of the vote but only got one seat. The new labour candidate is a joke and the tories are going down the crapper. Empirical evidence that the first past the post system is a complete joke in a country with more than 2 political parties.
