  1. Currently, when you follow someone as a ghost, your ghost avatar is awkwardly melded into the person you're following. The change I want made is basically to make that ghost avatar disappear whenever you follow someone. As for other people's ghosts, they should still be there, unless you turn off Ghost Vision. I just want following another player to be like any other multiplayer game. Clean HUD, no clutter, just watching another player do their thing.
  2. +1 I like he idea of while here is a huge war between the station and the syndicate, there will be a secret war between the mousers and the mice. Would make for a nice little game after you die, trying to survive the mousers, or hunting for mice.
  3. There is very much a reason to make cameras obsolete. Cameras in this game are clunky and annoying to keep track of all those photos. I'd much rather have all the photos digital (this is the FUTURE after all.) And you sort of sarcastically said that you won't add photo and phone call capabilities to PDAs. Why the heck not?! I mean they're PDAs, not phones, but we all use em like phones (for texts.) You should also add group chats, where you can invite people to talk in a private chat room INGAME. And you should also be able to group share photos within those chat rooms.
  4. I'll add some suggestions. 1. Being able to drink straight from any liquid dispenser. You right click, say, a booze dispenser and choose the option "Drink", and a window would pop up with options pertaining to what liquid you would like to ingest and the amount. You'd just imagine your character putting his mouth under the nozzle and letting the liquid squanch into his mouth. This would work for the chem dispenser and soda dispenser as well. 2. Being able to put anything into a wooden pipe to smoke it. Almost anything. I wanna put tribble fur in a pipe and see what that does to my health.
  5. It could add a bit of an espionage twist to gameplay. You open your PDA window, and on the bottom there is a camera icon. You click it, the window closes, and the next thing you click, if within range, will be snapshotted (you also have the option of turning on flash). The window reappears with the image you took with the options SAVE and SEND. SAVE saves it to your PDA. SEND sends it to anyone you choose. It would be useful for proving someone is guilty. I also had an idea for a traitor objective involving this mechanic. The objective would say "Take a picture of the Captain holding a banana.", and you could just imagine the wacky conversation the traitor would have with the captain to convince them to have their picture taken with a banana in their hand! Once the traitor gets the snapshot, they'd enter their traitor code and open the shop screen, but at the top there's a button that reads "SEND TO SYNDICATE" or something, and it sends the picture to the admins so they can review it and see if its valid.
  6. I was thinking more of the olive drab jumpsuit, with the olive helmet... do people not like that? I mean your picture is nice, but it just looks like a standard sec jumpsuit. The boots are neat though.
  7. If you emag a prosthetic limb it boosts the damage by a bunch and it makes it so someone can spawn in as your prosthetic limb and talk to you
  8. Yes spice up the warden please
  9. Yeah that's what I was referring to. Just a little nod to that. Totally intended.
  10. It is in my experience of people JUST PUSHING ME OVER AND KICKING ME. But that's another story. I like yours better...
  11. I just realized how awesome it would be to have an olive green or IMPERIAL Star Wars pilot uniform (BTW Nakhi that picture gave me so many flashbacks to playing Battlefront 2 early in the morning when I was a kid) with a bomber jacket over it. Shit would be so cash. Also, love the idea of being a wingman, would provide more incentive to be a sec pod pilot since you would have to be someone's wingman.
  12. Name: Rico Rivera Age: 30 Gender: Male Race: Human Blood Type: O- General Occupational Role(s): Chef, Mariachi, Bartender, Miner Biography: Born in New Taxco, Mars, to a poor immigrant family. Being a mining town, New Taxco forced children as young as 14 years old to work in the quarry for several hours a day. Rico Rivera was in the mining business from a very young age because of this, and is proficient in mining. His fairly large family comprised of chefs and musicians before they immigrated from the polluted, industrialized Earth, so Rico, of course, inherited decent cooking skills (although, most of the recipes he knows are of the Latino persuasion.), as well as proficient music skills (most prominent in guitar.) His family, by the time of their moving to Mars, were mostly miners from then on. At the age of 18, he had already been working the quarry for four years. On June 18, 2947, a Nanotrasen recruitment shuttle landed near New Taxco, looking for new miners. This is when Rico's life turned around. He had been making the lowest wage possible working the quarry, making enough credits for him and his family to afford proper shelter and taco ingredients. The NT shuttle that landed not far from his tenement housing was an opportunity to get out of poverty, and off that desolate planet. Rico traveled to the shuttle landing site with his family, miners were flooding in by the dozens. His whole town was there. NT was not refusing anyone, so Rico said goodbye to his family (which consisted of two young brothers, 5 baby sisters, his mother, father, and grandmother) and boarded the shuttle. His next stop was the station of random selection, which ultimately ended up being the NSS Cyberiad, where he has been working for 12 years, cycling through different jobs each shift. He has leaned towards more artistic jobs like chef and bard, other than mining, since his memories of mining were far from pleasant. He wires credits back to his family back in New Taxco, who are beginning to make plans to migrate from the cold, desert planet of Mars, to the safe, clean, and pleasant dormitories of the NSS Cyberiad. Qualifications: Cooking, mining, entertainment, bartending Employment Records: Miner, chef, mariachi, bartender Security Records: N/A Medical Records: N/A Personnel Photo (Appearance text): Valid without photo. Frequently wears a sombrero and poncho, to pay homage to his culture and remember his home. He has dark, slicked back hair, accompanied by a thick mustache. His complexion is dark. Commendations [only to be added by admin]: Reprimands [only to be added by admin]: Other Notes: N/A
  13. Stop dressing in a blue jumpsuit as Kei when playing Sec. There, less snowflakey.
  14. DE-CLAWING It should be Nanotrasen policy for all Tajaran employees to get their claws snipped, for fear of them using it as a weapon. This of course will cause an uproar in the Tajaran community, further tarnishing NT-Tajaran relations.
  15. "He has a malicious look in his eyes." -- Disarm "He looks like he wants to grab ya." -- Grab "He looks normal." -- Help "He looks like he wants to gank ya." -- Harm
  16. The process of getting pumped should take a long time, to prevent people from saying "lemme click on a dumbbell for five minutes so i can beat your ass more easily."
  17. Remind you of someone? COUGH Ian. Let's make it a German Shepherd. I'm sick of corgis, to be honest. Let's give it a security headset so it can bark on the radio every now and then. Also, question: How can it be like Beepsky if it can't cuff people? And what would be the point of adding a dog Beepsky? It should bring a new addition to Sec, not just be a rehashed Beepsky, to be honest. Let's make it so we have, maybe, two dogs. Both German Shepherds. They would be player controlled, and would be able to sniff out contraband. Now bear in mind I haven't read any other posts on this thread so if I'm just restating everyone else's ideas, forgive me. Anyway, they would sniff out drugs, LSD, space drugs, ambrosia?, and of course dangerous things like drugs and everything. They're player controlled, so the person controlling them would only sniff those who are suspicious, or whoever their handler tells them to sniff. The dog shouldn't patrol the station alone, it should be in the rules for it to only patrol with Security personnel. This gives the dog protection from greytiders on a mission to kill it, and it keeps it from going around sniffing and biting people without permission. So, the dog has a passive ability. The ablility allows it to sense if any of the sec personnel is being attacked or in danger. For example, if an unknown person is walking past a sec officer, and he's wearing a mask or something, the player controlling the dog has the option to bark. I can't really expand on that any further because I woke up like an hour ago. I'm just gonna name the dog Rex so I can stop calling it "the dog". Rex has two abilities, SNIFF and BITE. Sniff allows him to sniff contraband out. Bite allows him to stun people for a short amount of time, so to keep someone subdued, one would have to continually bite the perp to keep him or her restrained, and wait for his handlers to come.
  18. Well, the Detective and the Brig Physician have barely any red on them, if any. I think if we made it black and red, it would end up looking like syndicate shit and blah blah. I like olive green, it's easy on the eyes, and if you see someone wearing an olive green suit around he would definitely stick out. Also, if you guys decide to add it, it would be cool to add an alternate suit that looks like the Star Wars x-wing fighter pilot uniform, you know, that utilitarian, orange, freakin' cool looking uniform that Wedge Antilles wears... I think it would fit really well with the general theme of the game. I mean, you guys already ripped off the suit from Dead Space and the general look of Xenomorphs. You guys even got System Shock in there (AI). This game is basically a mixing pot of pop culture (wrapped around pretty solid gameplay mechanics, of course,) and it DESPERATELY needs more Star Wars references and items. A fighter pilot's uniform would be absolutely perfect for a new Star Wars addition.
  19. I never really said hardsuit. I said just give them an olive drab jumpsuit with MILD explosion and cold protection. It's not going to be OP or whatever, it will be just something like a plus for people who bought Sec Pod Pilot with their karma. I want Sec Pod Pilots to be noticed, because, right now, they just look like a sec member with a bomber jacket on. I mean, you can go the the Object menu and click Roll Down Jumpsuit like any other jumpsuit.
  20. The bomber jacket is cool and all, but pretty much anyone can fetch it from the autodrobe and wear it. I was thinking we give Sec Pod Pilots a full on pilot jumpsuit and helmet. Something along these lines.. As for the helmet. Or if we want to go the more sci-fi approach. The helmet can act as an oxygen mask, and the jumpsuit could have mild resistance to explosions and cold, just so it can't be accessible to people via the autodrobe, unlike the formerly unique bomber jacket. The Sec Pod Pilot sounds like the coolest job on the station, but in reality it turns out to be pretty stale. I think making them have unique uniforms can liven the job up a bit, and make them easily stand out in a crowd.
  21. Tajarans should really be made out to be the "oppressed race" of SS13. I think this is damn near perfect to express this. Another cool idea would be to make Tajaran tails harvestable, and have great buffs, like the albino's of Africa (who are hunted for their limbs to be made as lucky charms), so it gives people incentive to hunt them down and mutilate them and put their tails in an elixir or something.
