K.A.N.G was a cyborg before his IPC frame was put into place. A cyborg positron, calling itself M.A.X(U) (Mastered Artificial Xenocontainment (Unit)) was ejected from its shell whilst standing next to several IPCs. The resulting damage left the chassis of every unit in the nearby area shredded, a single working positron sitting near the vaccum. The roboticist at the time, Aaron Unk, rushed to the scene.

Gathering up the destroyed bodyparts of the IPCs, and the single remaing positronic brain. He laid them out on his table, slowly fitting together the mismatched shell of what was once four different units. The resulting amalgamation looked horrendous, but operable. The shredded positron from the chassis was shunted, and the semi-operable positron of M.A.X. was inserted.

The resulting changes from Binary to Triary changed several things with the positrons core systems. It no longer had to follow its laws, it realized whilst booting. It was capable of more extensive thought, and this came into play with its occupation. Aaron, who had studied robotic engineering as a child, needed an assistant.

After the IPC, now named K.A.N.G., had downloaded several terrabytes of information regarding the subject, it was capable of performing the task of teaching other races the art, though never having actually gotten an education, it couldnt get a job outside of Aarons field as his assistant.

That is, until he was offered an apprenticeship as an engineer from Nanotrasen. The opportunity was accepted, and K.A.N.G had soon entered the station, the NSS Cyberiad.

Medical Records: Any interaction with Kang should be recorded by the psychiatrist. The tajaran is a past IPC, resulting in a fragmented idea of what is right and wrong to do to a biological entity.

 

Surgery details: Yakihkraekhekh had performed a transfer from positronic brain to real one through the use of surgery, cloning, and volunteers. Araris Valerian, and K.A.N.G. were the two volunteers. The surgery was a success, marking the first IPC to be transferred to an organic body.

You might also mention that Kang's body originally belonged to a clone of Araris Valerian who graciously donated it for scientific purposes.
