  1. I feel this was more concept art, than anything else. Due to this game having the learning curve of a cliff I'm worried that it's going to turn out to be a dumbed-down version of SS13. But if Dean pulls it off, I'll be damn impressed
  2. I'm pretty stoked, but I'm going to wait until it comes out and the reviews come in before making a purchase. My only hope is that they've accurately captured the first game's fun and enjoyment.
  3. EDIT: Changed bits around to make it slightly less snowflakey.
  4. Alright, this is possibly the best Crew Record I've ever read. There are no words for such beauty.
  5. Hello guys! My name's MindLeaker, I was here for a year or so, and then I dropped off the face of the Earth! Twice. But that was then and this is now, and I hope to be around a lot more and get involved into the community once more! See you around, Mindleaker
  6. Music, eh? Here, have some nice vocals: https://soundcloud.com/amarantemusic/the-fire (Voice starts at 00:25)
  7. Since a good couple games were mentioned, I can only resort to what I still getting shudders listening to: Apologies, it's an entire OST, but 1:07:27 is my personal favorite And a cutscene if you're looking for a more in-context version:
  8. So, although this was regarded as black-magic for a time, I alerted the admins to the bug, and what SHOULD happen now is that Vox are permanently uncloneable, please double check that you can still clone them, if you can, we have a problem.
  9. Firstly, there's and admin complaint section for a reason, if you have any problems with the management of this server, it's open to everyone, 24/7. That is absolutely no way to covey anything besides that you are butthurt, grow a pair and stop whining, and plus, that statement makes sweet FA sense. Secondly, when you become a monkey, there's absolutely no way for people to tell you are a crew member, you are no more than some Genetics trash getting in the way, the player is not at fault, although animal cruelty is illegal, it is rarely enforced. Thirdly, saying a player you have a quarrel with is "a fucking retard" doesn't earn many brownie points, coupled with your blatant disregard with how complaints are handled, you are heading in a bad direction. Apart from the lack of any intelligence in this statement, you are annoying, and are likely annoying everyone else who reads this, either go away and cool off for a day or two and make a decent complaint, or see yourself to the fucking door, neither the server nor the admins will miss you. There are some things not addressed in this, hopefully someone else with the patience of a saint will sort the rest out. Regards, MindLeaker
  10. Awesome, I like the colour on the Tajaran robes, 10/10
  11. Good god, Katawa Shoujo, that game did something I thought was beyond impossible with me, it made me think. Since the game has already been explained, I'll skip that intro, I've played it twice now, for my first route, I chose Hanako Ikesawa. Hanako really connected with me in many ways, she was shy, intelligent, and cute. Somehow, even with some of the stupid things Hisao says/does, I developed feelings over an NPC, something that has only happened once before in 14 years of gaming, the ending hit me like a semi-truck. I had my first "Manly Tears" moment, and couldn't sleep for 2 days. Yikes. I didn't play the game for three days, then, mulling over in what I found funny to call "Post-Hanako Depression" My second route was with Rin Tesuka, Rin was the kind of person I would like to get to know, her deadpan and mildly cynical attitude always caught my attention, and often threw me off-guard. Her story was VERY complex, so complex I worried I was going down a bad route with her, thankfully I was not, the ending was nice, it broke the depressing hold the game had previously on me, and it kinda made me realize a bit more about myself. (Something a game has never done for me before) And by the way, since I forgot to mention this back at the start, and can't be bothered mixing around with the text again, I found this through Game Grumps, of all places, on their "Go Go Nippon" play through, I saw people chatting about VN's in the comments section, and the overwhelming reply was "God Dammit Ross, play Katawa Shoujo!". I decided to check the game out for myself. Admittedly, at first glance, I thought it was a fetish porn game, when I saw the Bust/Waist/Hips stat on the characters screen, I decided "You know what? Fuck it, if it's that good, I'll give it a go!". I didn't move from my seat for 6 hours. This game is arguably the most emotional, dramatic, and touching one I've had the pleasure of playing. Even now, I still have it, I always debate clicking on it, experiencing something, but then I always watch the Hanako mid-story animation, and I just close it down, but somehow I feel like I should try again. Huh. EDIT: I tried to explain this without portraying much of my feelings, just because. Sorry if that's what you were looking for.
  12. Because lore-wise, S'randarr is only affiliated with Tajaran. Plus if it worked for people like Vox also it would be too OP.
  13. Good to see you here on the forums Daniel! If you are not already aware, I play the Tajaran Si'Makra. Many welcomes!
  14. S'randarr is the Tajaran deity. And humans don't believe in S'randarr either. Nor do they participate in the ascension thing. It would be like the Chaplain's Bible it's useful to him only. Plus TajaranMasterRace.
  15. Nearing the end of my holiday, and hoping to get back to SS 13 soon, I stumbled upon an unused item called S'randarr's Healing Leaf, for all of those who aren't experienced in Tajaran lore, S'randarr is the Tajaran deity. From what I gather, it heals minor brute damage, it's already in the codebase. So, perhaps with a small buff, could be a species-exclusive healing item for Tajaran?
  16. That's a pretty sad backstory, but a great one to read! Thanks for putting it up! P.S: Your avatar is so damn cuuuute!
  17. Fj, it would be too similar to that horrible monkey round, where when bit you would join their ranks, the only cure there was a bullet, it's not fun for zombies or players, as unrobust players merely contribute to the ranks.
  18. Think less tail-rings, more like fancy silks and such.
  19. I can conclude that it ended somewhat well, I was dragged into maintenance by the CMO, I thought I was dead, but an Engi Borg came along and helped me to cryo, I then tried once more to get a Surgeon to manage it, this time, instead of my emotes of writhing in pains and yelping, I passed out halfway through, apart from the occasional mistake and the sound of whacking, it went well. As for the suggestion, I totally agree, even if it's very subtle, where only proper Surgeons would understand the meaning.
  20. So, going along with the lore, Tajarans in courting or marriage wear tail accessories given by their significant other, in order to maintain it lore-wise, I was thinking we perhaps sprite in an accessory for Tajarans that is added to their tails, if it is even possible. And it could be bought from an AutoDrobe, or some other vendor.
  21. [Access Required] -Enter Auth Code Now- -*ʊ**21*l*Ω**- Access: Granted✔ Welcome, Representative Searching… Complete: Name:Si'Makra Hadar Age: 28 Gender: Male Race: Tajaran Blood Type: O- General Occupational Role(s): CMO, Surgeon, Xenoarchaeologist, Detective. Biography: Si'Makra was born on the Tajaran homeworld of Ahdomai, in a small village on the Etari Archipelago, with a brother, same age, named Si'Dakra. Parents known to be village doctors. From the age of sixteen to his nineteenth birthday, he worked with his parents, suturing, healing, and general work around his village. It is unknown, but there may have been a family dispute over what he intended to do. He has refused to speak of his younger life to all but the closest of friends. At the age of twenty, he left the Etari Arcipelago aboard a small cargo ship, headed for Mi'dynh Al'Manq, the NT-funded city. There he graduated from a local medical school, earning his Bachelors,[Clearance: Security] he was then involved with a violent Tajaran activist group, funded by Nazkiin officials, it is unknown what his role was during this time, as analysis of his fighting skills found him borderline catastrophic (to himself) when in possession of weapons. Twice he was detained for suspicious conduct but not incarcerated due to lack of evidence After that, his name completely drops out of existence, no census data, no medical examinations, the only report of his existence was a witness claim of a Tajaran matching his description as a attempted mediator in a large-scale bar fight between two Tajaran and three humans, the remaining Tajaran claimed that the three had "insulted our honour", the humans could not provide any information, as they were unconscious at the time, and woke up with acute veisalgia and unable to remember the previous night. The other Tajaran was unable to be located. [General Clearance] One year later, he appeared on a census record living in the City of Nalyar, working as a Bartender at a large nightclub for Tajaran, named Liq'Quiat. Two months later, he quit his job, the only reason he gave to his boss was "A friend has given this one another chance" [Clearance: Security] His "friend" may have been affiliated with the Syndicate. [General Clearance] He promptly signed up at the closest NanoTrasen Recruitment Office Qualifications: -Bachelors of Medicine, Bachelors of Surgery -Amateur Barkeeping -Archaeological Hobbies Employment Records: -Village Doctor -Tajaran-Rights Activist -Bartender in the Liq'Quiat Security Records: -Accused of Suspicious Conduct, charges dropped. Medical Records: -2550: Broken ankle, treated at Mi'dynh Al'Manq General Hospital -2551: Major lacerations on legs, patient claimed to have "fallen on glass" Family: Known direct relations are known to be: Si'Dakra Hadar, a brother of a same age. With two living parents, Li'Ana Hadar; his mother, and Mil'Dras Hadar; his father. He has only recently acknowledged his surname, and is believed to have a conflict with his parents, which he admits to very few. Only his brother is currently employed at NanoTrasen, but certain efforts are being made to employ his parents, to help his mental state and productiveness.[WARNING: Command Level Clearance or Higher to Proceed] Personnel Photo: A tall, thin, male Tajaran of the Njarir'Akhan ethnicity. At first glance, he seems to be standing at about 6ft 2" with his fur cropped and well maintained, his tail is also well-kept. His teeth are white, without much sign of yellowing, the only feature you notice is a canine is badly chipped, his eyes are a very dark shade of brown, much darker than the fur that covers his body, his nose practically blends in with his fur, except for a small discolouration at it's base, his hair is long for a male, it is jet black and cropped around his ears and base of his neck. With his clothes removed, his body is lithe, almost feminine, he has a slight colour gradient on his belly region, that slowly turn paler, there aren't many distinguishable marks or blemishes, except for what seems to have been a cauterised mark that arcs around his abdomen. Other Notes: He makes a conscious effort not to roll R's, although when alcohol is introduced he tends to lose cohesion in both speaking and walking.
  22. Greetings! I'm MindLeaker, I've played for about a year now, give or take, I hardly use this mainly because I hate these forums thingies! I'm known as "David Campbell" and "Si'Makra", I'm usually cynical, witty in the lowest forms possible, and I prefer cats to dogs. Momentary lapse of time trying to think of something witty to end this... KBAI
