Actually, I am pretty sure (unless someone broke it) that roundstart cyborgs have either an MMI or a Posibrain depending on the job alt title

10/10 necroposting
now regens lock this thread and make them make a new one
-
or, maybe, you could just
you know
play the game
enjoy the gamemode
perhaps get some RP out of it from what I have heard
and not throw a fit over "BUT MUH LOGIC"
-
This isn't likely to happen any time soon. -tg- uses their robust organ system for all of it- we have a much shittier system that would have to be heavily modified to work for this kind of thing.
-
Spacepod movement isn't broken, it is working as intended.
It's unfortunate that they can no longer drift, but that's due to what is likely a byond bug.
Also, they weren't poorly ported at all- they were ported almost completely 1:1 with /vg/- But their code has actually been less maintained than ours.
-
This seems pointless, and difficult if not impossible to maintain.
Anyone that would actually bother to select the disability presumably would also give a fuck about roleplay.

okay i'll say outright
PDA's nano code will have to be completely fucking overhauled before I personally would even start to think of this
As is, literally every module is part of a giant if-else chain in the template file, which is exactly as fucking bad as you think
-
not to mention the fact that it would require a massive change to the lighting system with new calculations, *shudder*
-
-snip-, but I was thinking maybe giving Humans boosts of Epinephrine on an RNG chance when they're getting near softcrit or something small enough that it wouldn't make a species op pls nurf.
No, no, no, how many times can I say no.
Humans are 100% always intended to be the vanilla species. This won't change.
Humans run the defaults for everything, the defaults *are* them.

Aaah, don't worry about it.
Immortal simple animals? Nothing in comparison to repeatedly crashing the server (which a few coders have done in the past), or causing it to lag like a bitch for a few days before accepting defeat.
Mistakes happen.
-
Now see, I agree this is rather pointless, since the opportunity to use it without being banned is very rare indeed.
But I sure as fuck don't want it removed as a result of "I ded plz nerf".

Uh, no. Round's not instantly over because the nukeops are dead. If the station's still in working order, no huge holes in it, no destroyed engineering or atmospherics, yeah, no, there is no reason to call the shuttle, wait for the transfer vote.
-
Tanks have nothing to do with it, the fault is entirely in human breathing code. Humans breathe in from internals, take a small portion of oxygen, then spit the rest back out onto the turf. It happens no matter where you breathe *in* from, it goes out onto the turf. If humans just deleted the rest of the gas, they'd become walking depressurization machines.

No fucking way. A thread for every single PR? That would be, at best, chaos, at worst, downright fucking hell.
All three places have very clear intentions. Suggestions is for new ideas, things people would like to see. Code discussion is for discussing current code which people would like to see changed. Github is where discussion takes place before PR's are merged into the code.

–׳¿oÿ{¹eý½º Is what I got.
I am going to guess that you didn't account for the bits being seperate, and tried to convert the entire string.

Using binary? Pfft.
10010 11020 10220 11002 10121 11020 11111 1122 1012 10210 11100 10200 10222 10202 11020 1201
(yes that does translate to something if you convert it back to binary then to ascii)

I mean even on the current station we have more than enough arrivals space for to add a mid round antag/protag type that takes a ship and docks it in the usual NT shuttle spot ( its the best spot) you could make a bunch of ships, give them all the same docking spot, and randomly through a round ghosts could be pulled to it, and sent to the station.
Actually you can't, we use shitty bay shuttles, which means only one shuttle can ever have the same predefined spot to go to.
-
God please no suggestion threads on fucking with disarm intent. You want my input, leave it the fuck alone, bad shit happens when you buff it or nerf it.
-
you should bug regen directly, his IRC, his bot
And it does state the configured gamemode; Which is always secret.

Well, you can't right out start as an Admin, you'll have to apply to be a mentor first which would be here I believe (but I'm not sure if they're looking for people right now) and you'll have to convince them about how you'd make you a good mentor, and then through that you may or may not leave up to admin over time.
That's not completely true, being a mentor isn't a requirement for becoming an admin.
But the simple answer is, you don't ask. Admins are appointed based on senior/head admins noticing a player and deciding they could make a good admin. Being a mentor obviously involves more staff interaction, and chances to show said senior staff that you are a good player.
-
You could technically build all of the functionality into a basic subclass.
But that's fucking horrible. It's the reason HUD code is a nightmare to maintain. Every fucking button uses the same class, which does something different based on it's name.
BYOND's object definition cap is extremely high- It's really not worth ever worrying about until we hit it. It's not even officially documented anywhere I know of.
-
Anybody has access to the observe function, so game logs weren't actually private to begin with.
That said, this is still probably a bad idea- admins are here for a reason, we don't need internet detectives going on crusades to try slip up players they don't like
The server logs contain far more than just what observers can notice, including every action any admin makes, every single different chat including antag OOC, every single attack log from every single weapon, every punch, every disarm, every explosion.
-
it would require snowflaking in human attack code, which is a horror in and of itself, probably not worth the slight fluff
-
Seems like the vast majority of people polled are in favour of a change.
Once I get solid internet access back, I'll edit the wiki to reflect this unless there's some big sweeping admin no-no posted in the next few days.
Consider this your "no-no", space law is for the admins to edit. The page is protected anyways.

The supply shuttle UI was removed because it would require partial rewrites of the supply template, and a full rewrite of the basic code to account for -tg-'s supply system.
When I have some time, I'll try to look into re-adding it, but no guarantees.
