  1. Landmines and chemweapons are all fair game. Aslong its not a suicide maxcap or some other crap. I mean nuke ops can use Sarin Gas etc. Why not give them a taste of their own... rarely seeing that happen. No grenades to blow cover. Usually due to more efficient established tactics by both sides. Like plasmabomb rush by nuke ops. Also not really enjoyable for the crew. Or the "camp outside with high ex lances" done by crew. Its really both parties involved to blame.

Agreeing on the captain thing. If they declared and walked through all of this... why giving them another "fuck you" only delaying the inevadeable anyways. If they declare people who cant stand ops can atleast opt out/skip the round by cryoing or doing gateway. Unlike with wizards.

Also compulsed to finish this glasshouse sentence

Those who live in the glass house...

    - will either burn to a crisp due to this extreme drought in europe

    - or should shower in the basement for everyone elses sake ?

  2. When Antag: Infuse powercells with plasma and swap the cell of a baton with it. Throw the inactive baton at sec. Sec of course turns the baton on. Depending on charge they get severly hurt or gibbed. Never turn on a rigged baton. Same thing works with lightbulbs. Secerly underused. Impractical. But pretty neat to pull off.

  3. Stunprod/Batons cells can be changed. That includes cells that are laced with plasma/injected with plasma that detonate the baton on use. Pretend you accidently throw it at someone. Opposition activations baton. Opposition is near dead or gibbed depending on the cell type. Cell type can also be swapped to a self charging one. Self explanatory. Defib is an instant kill when hit by an EMP or Emag. Well technically it isnt. It gives people a permastun heart attack. That kills them. So basicly a clever doctor could aqquire some sort of setting up an EMP on a defib, take it because you see doctors using defibs everywhere, stun/put person on a timer, then inject them with what was it... ah Perfluorodecalin, which somehow stops talking completly instead of just making once voice alot more silent.

  4. One thing that could help with that "play to win" thinking could be the simple removal of greentext and failtext. Sure it should not matter to anyone... but alot of people get really compulsive when reading that "FAILED" in all caps lock and red. Sure it would be better to be above that and not care what a stupid game tells you but for some the fear of failure is deeply ingrained in ones mind, no matter what. Then they start to play to win, essentially making rounds less enjoyable as a whole, or dont play antags at all which is in my opinion the better case in the long run. I am speaking out of my own experience with that. A simple solution would be to remove greentext altogether or better: Allow opt in and out of that. Would certainly help people who just dont like to see failtext or greentext due to whatever their issue might be with that.

Another thing would be autocomplete objectives ala goon like: "Sabotage Hydroponics where you can (without using explosives)." or "Make sure there are no chem dispensers in Scichem" or "The bartender of this shift has angered your employer. Aqquire and release a tank of N2O and release it in the bar to send them a message." That kind of stuff maybe.

Last but not least removal of instant game overs on certain gamemodes. Lets not beat it arround the bush. Everyone lynches wizards. Mainly due to the following combination from my experience far in the past: Clunwe, Disintegrate, Horsemadk, Clunwe, Clunwe, Stun into Clunwe or Disintegrate, Horsemask, Transformation into lesser forms, Clunwe. Yes I despise the round ender/humilation spells named clunwe. Wizards could have more psychic based powers... mind control, enrage, paranoia etc. And more team building spells. Like the soulstone belt and necrostone. Wizards using the latter 2 made great rounds, fun to watch and participate. Clunwe Wizards are just stupid... Atleast thats my opinion.

Nuke ops getting cheesed and better firefights? Well a suit of metal, no matter if its a high tech powerarmor or just made out of scraps really wont stand a chance against modern penetrator rounds made to defeat armor. Even less so a Kevlar Vest. Now there are materials that can stop a .50 cal BMG fully but those are highly expensive. The thing here that could be changed aswell is: Make the Elite suit blast proof. Same for the shielded suit. Sure it shouldnt block a point blank microbomb but your arm shouldnt get ripped off when hit with a high ex lance. An energy shield should really block off blasts too. That atleast removes the blast cheese. Guns being lethal sounds about right. They are made to kill and even while it makes sense to have a "DNA Lock" on them ut would just remove tension. Then theres the entire deal of everyone being a CQC expert and disarming elite troopers left and right. Disarm chance should be really alot lower and wielding only 1 gun in one hand should prevent disarms. That or uh prevent disarms by matching the stance. It is a defensive stance after all.

Anyways just my two cents on this. Will take some rest now.
