  1. I thought alot about this. Tbh i hope this isnt just the ability to make wizard spells... IMO this is an opportunity to expand magic largely. Ive had multible thoughts on how to get a spellbook but i think the librarian scribing one is best. Ive actually thought of magic being common and everyone spawn with a personal book. Now once a book is obtained itll be "unbinded" meaning no owner. Binding a book ingame can be as simple as a verb or reading it. All magic requires you to have your book in one of your hands.(this is a security measure, security can take your book away, and you cant use magic without it. Just to be sure, no one else can use your book, a binded book can only be used by the owner. Now i was thinking spells be trainable, by uses. When holding onto or clicking the book you get a display of stats and options. The stats being spell mastery and i was assuming MP. MP is regenerated naturally or faster by sleeping. New spells, lots of new spells....oh my. Now magic is ranked. Theres harmless magic, helpful magic, harmful magic, and healing magic. Each spell being ranked to show this spell is dangerous and can get you arrested to this spell is generally useless and only for RP. Now each spell has a category. Theres elemental(air fire water etc) these are generally dangerous but can safely be used to repressurize an area or put out a fire. Theres life force magic(generally medbay's goto) theres healing, regeneration,revive, internal healing, blood restore, sap life, manifest corpse, attach soul, bleed, sicken, degeneration and others. Theres job magic, these effect production , this is the magic centcomm generally wants. Instantly growing crops, repairing parts of the station,blasting through the mine etc. Theres mental magic, this is illusion and magic that can effect a person's mental state. Making them calm, retarded, angry, forgetful etc. General magic, these are magics like forcewall and smoke. And destruction magic. Generally non elemental offensive magic, like magic missle, or force slam, or manifesting weapons... Theres plenty...but some magics are allowed and others not so much, some are allowed in certain situations. However this is probably completely off course with what you were thinking...
  2. I know this is more money but can mining have the mint machine? It makes coins.(theres three parts the input, the machine itself, and output) Have a dual way conveyer belt that leads in and out of the main mining station.(to easy move boxes and crates. Maybe other things) With the outside unloader, can you make it we dont have to mess with the belt? Like move the unloader where the wall is.. Can you try to make gathering ore quicker by hand.(i like how a borg can run over and collect them) 1 sheet snatcher would be nice.(digsites can produce various mineral sheets that we need to collect) A mining vending machine? Takes coins to various mining tools, or something that mining can benefit from. All in all, id like most of these in for ease. But i still feel mining is lacking in itself. Perhaps devices that can locate specific ores. Or teleport ores or something....idk. Oh and can you atleast make it so non ores/sheets passthrough the stacking machine.

  4. While using the cyrobeaker, i noticed chemicals mix in the chemMaster(pill bottle machine). Could you make it not so? Extend the mediborgs hypospray please. A slight feature, have a pop up list of a few medicines selectable. Mainly tramadol and alkysine. Also perhaps if emagged the list could then contain one or two not so helpful chemicals..
  5. Couldnt that possibly make people unstunnable or only stunned for a second or two? There would have to be a minimal time to allow cuffing.
  6. Like from cargo? Interesting. Or! Atmospherics could get their own mini cargo dock/computer, only atmospheric things can be ordered. But still circuits would be needed. If it stays at cargo- 100-150 per canister would be good. Further more the crate should be ce/atmos locked. And if possible make it so the canister doesnt have an open port. This would force the atmos techs to HAVE to send the contents through the waste filtering system. Or a gass mixer or custom vent. Is better than some cargie busting the crate then dragging it somewhere and opening it. Its the safest idea i can think atm, also having a pop up warning when ordering it etc. Having the cans cost 200 or more points is a little much. If three chambers go thats 600(or 400) thatd be needed to refill them. -NOTE THE FOLLOWING WAS FOUND AWHILE AGO, MY INFO MAY BE SLIGHTLY INCORRECT- But! Atlas i may point out that in the source i came across a gas generator device(only oxygen im sure ponies can edit it to other gases) if worked on im sure atmospherics could REALLY enjoy it. It works as a pipe connection, so itd need to fed into waste or the chambers directly.

Perhaps a way to clean trays.(this may make the virus crate almost useless)(theres that sterile chemical) Changes to virus crate-add vials and the holders. Make able to open with virologist rank not cmo. Ponies was saying something about more benefitting effects and or switching in and out genetic powers. -bone repair (fractures/brokens) -brain repair(hematoma and brain damage) -vision projection(more of an ability to shoot your "view" 10 or so spaces) -an effect that closes cuts rather quickly -immortality(your body revives after 5-10 minutes of death)(headless or incinerated can not be healed) -Healing hands(another ability to slowly heal a person infront?) -built tough(you cant pass out, prevents being ko'd even if critical) -built strong(cant be knocked over or disarmed unless your in critical or asleep) -purity(the virus has no negative effects)(a virus that causes those infected to have no harmful effects from any virus, can be vary useful)(ignores alien infection, meaning you still burst open) -pyromancer(welp clicky makey hot firez) -iron skin(recieve less damage) -pure blood(immunity to all chemicals, so much for getting healed....) -kill switch(virus will cure itself at some point)(useful for mass curing?) Edit: Add chem master and pill box(clean beakers and make vaccine pills, or other horrible ways to distrubute "medication") I could list negative effects if you want.... Mutation-causes mutation of the person effected. Radioactive-virus rapidly mutates inside the infected, making it gain effects and harder to cure. Knowledged-for some damn reason you're a know it all..and understand all languages. Reciever- umm are you a human radio? Can hear and use all radio channels.(only general and departments, you dont need a headset anymore....) More transformation viruses(any mob)(noticed the bee transformation virus is still in code) Delimb-OHSHIT! Your leg man! Blind-causes eye damage over time. Sight-heals eye damage Sense-you can locate people on the z level Liquid bones-paralyzes and deforms Senescence-brute and burns cant be healed. Senescence is in which a cell can not divide, so no healing. Not the best but w/e thoughts are thoughts.

More like make atmos repairable.....atmos is unable to be repaired usually....ethier the chambers go and we lose all the gas in them or an irreplaceable atmos device is destroyed, or more rarely the pipe machines go... Atmospherics is a repair place imo, once its gone theres nothing to repair the repair place since the repair place was destroyed. Meteors too often mean end game simce they break the gas chambers

    That medbay was awesome....except when the captain's alien bursted out during surgery removal....that was horrible.....HORRIBLE!
  11. The hemostat has a lasting effect of clamping bleeders. If you clamp the bleeders in an area once, they will not need to be clamped ever again in that area for the round.(scratch this, stupid surgery code is odd. They will sometimes be clamped or not.) Face recontruction is a simple Aim at mouth Scalpel Hemostat Retractor Cautery This surgery is shorter than what the wikis say. It skips the 2nd and 3rd steps. A tip. If theres more than one surgery needed in a area do bone repair last, as some surgerys can cause fractures. Be sure to scan your subject before removing him or her off the sleeping gas as you may have caused damage while doing surgery. Another tip. You do not need to wash the tools for every single surgery. Aslong as your operating on the same person an infection wont happen. Ofcourse you should wash the used tools once a person is finished.
  12. You can do the safe switching. But what if someone left it in there? Doctors would be killing people unknowingly. And at a time of say a fire or carp or meteor moment, hell even radiation.....alot of ppl could die. Not trying to be mean....but other doctors tend to not notice things...
  13. I think itd be a bad idea. If it goes unnoticed a ton of people could die, ruining the round and a bunch of unneeded deaths.... This seriously looking like a plasma fire in a tube.
  14. Hmm thats almost impossible to pull of. Other doctors. And if a non target gets in it, it will be grief i believe. Its like a contained plasma fire. Yet still public.

  17. or give the ai a built in captain radio... like a radio, the ai could turn of the speaker of selected departments. or listen to them all lol. this gives the ai an easy to use speech since they can just ":c i will make sure it happens." the intercomms can be back up for radio blackouts.
  18. Alright i tend to play atmospheric tech more often than engineer but less than doctor. When a meteor wave comes, it is so dreaded. Not because of the station going into chaos but because atmospherics tends to get smashed so it cant do it's job. Since atmos is down that means a shuttle has to be called. Which is lame. Its so annoying to have the gas chambers, namely the nitrogen,oxygen,and air chamber be destroyed. I suggest one of three things. A multi level wall and or grille shield to protect the chambers. Completely remap and relocate atmospherics into more of the center of the station. Or extend the station and build in space outside atmos so that, that room gets hit first. Redo the meteor mode and make atmospherics have some supplies and space access. This redone meteor mode would include an advanced notice that meteors are heading our way. It would be engineering/atmospherics job to set up a few shield generators before they hit. Thats pretty much it. Simple and safer than "omfg were finished! *BOOM*"
  19. Hello. My perfered user name is usually xxxxyobdab. I can be a bit....awkward(serious...expect oddities)....and smart, and pretty much anything.... Im usually knowledge with the game of which a forum is of. I play Sybil Davis ingame and my key is Bloodpuddle. My perfered roles are non-antag, Medical division, engineering Divison(usually atmos,) and botany/chef. I dont perfer head roles or security as i dislike them but i may play a head or antag role from time to time. Not sure what else to put but w/e.
  20. A helpful tip. In this case you get a person in critical condition with broken bones and internal bleeding....oh no! Internal bleeding usually kills people due to a doctor and even the cmo ignoring it for last. DO NOT IGNORE INTERNAL BLEEDING Once someone gets internal bleeding their blood level rapidly drops until it hit the 50% mark which is when a person dies no matter what kinda drugs are in them. DO NOT CYRO THEM Cyrocells do not stop,prevent, or heal internal bleeding. Once you take them out they die faster than the medical hud can appear..... Your first step is to scan them and head into surgery.....NOW not later. If they critical dope them up on inaprovaline. Dont be afraid to ask a second doctor to keep the supply of inaprovaline in them while you heal the bursted vain. Using a blood pack and iv drip will help stem the decrease a little, as in slow it down just a smidge. Time is life in this case. Once the vain is healed get as much blood as you/needed into them. 90% is fine. Cyro them to full health then do the bone repair surgery. As a well versed doctor i seem to run into a critical problem. A stubborn surgeon. Ethier he tells you to wait or wont stop his current surgery to save your poor dieing person's life. Further more i get doctors that stick these ppl in cyro and forget about them. Or the doctoring fight, when both doctors think they are right. The right answer is surgery....now. Keep the person alive using drugs, its what its meant to do. Fun fact: Stick a beaker of inaprovaline into an iv dripper. A great way to prevent death and you can do it yourself! While unorthodox, dont be afraid to kick the damned surgeon in the ass. Your patient needs more help than some ruptured lung or broken bone person.
  21. i think new cyborgs would be great in general. I also think the standard borg needs some updating on what it has. An Atmospheric borg that is in itself a portable air pump,air srubber and heater. Able to fill itself in atmospherics and etc.Possibly useful for research with bomb making?? Aswell ofcourse cleaning the air. Tools- heater air pump scrubber canisters...three? Atmospheric sensor Wrench hmm Glass for sealing holes? An Misc borg could be a hydroponic or chef borg. Optional Tools Kitchen knive tray plant bag? Large beakers Large dropper ....WIP i suppose bucket EZ nutrient maker mini hoe Rapid seed dispenser thing. pest spray.. drinking glass dispenser medical borg could gain surgery tools-would need a human to put person on the table though. Also a recharable guaze,ointment. To atleast stop bleeding on critical people. Perhaps a spectrometer too. And access to the chem machine...
