  1. Apparently not. Spread of mouth is so inconsistent. It works when it should not and works not when it should. Did I not make myself clear enough? Do I really need to speak it out once again aloud? Not that I am dissappointed anyways in any possible way. Do not disturb me on any plattform, be it discord, steam, skype, reaxys, any social networks etc. if you are just going to fucking talk about whats happening here; if you are in an administrative position dont talk to me whatsoever on said plattforms. I want my peace and not be enraged because frankly any form of powertripping pisses me off. I dont mind the few people doing it who are being actual friends. The rest... It does not yield anything of use. I am not going to go into full privat mode just because some scum do not know their boundaries. Especially now that I come to think after yesterdays reminder by some individual who fucking talked to me. Remembering me that someone fucked an entire situation up and did even have the audacity to ask me about a different case I was forced to deal with and not excusing once for their major fuck up. Demanding someone to be sorry while not being able to apologize...

Again. If you just fucking talk to me on discord about this game or are associated with the administration do yourself a favor and take your hand and talk to it. It just pisses me off so much I cant even enjoy a week of recovery and vacation. Good fucking lord. Also good grief add an option for people to erase forum accounts. It is not that hard.

  2. Less bussing in of threats when a cult is eliminated for instance. Less unbeatable threats in general. New threats should be defeatable, challenging and exciting. Not plain out a prince with a queen of terror and a revenant tier (or "magic ops" *shudder*). Less tight rules on when its okay to kill. Sleeping Carp is not kill on sight... why is that? Vampires being a pain in the ass to detain because not fully powered? Beat them...

  3. - IPCs are incredibly fragile... I know its their gimmick to be vulnerable to EMPs but really... instant kill? Who uses semiconductors and transistors in the future... or lacks emp proof materials. Make them pop off a limb, mute them and severly damage their internal components maybe. But not outright kill them. Its a joke for most antags to kill an IPC.

    - Greys could get an immunity to Fluorosulphuric Acid. Because the Sulphuric Acid immunity is pretty useless considering only Fluorosulpuric Acid is used for murder. That or maybe make Sulphuric acid heal them slowly over time, kind of like Saline Glucose, just less efficient.

    - Make cardtridges printable for plasmamans suits. Allow cargo to order spare plasmaman suits for some points.

Remove Slime Squishing, Make Slimes weak to all temperature extremes, not just cold, but give them chemical resistance. Neurotoxin and Sarin should do considerable less damage considering they lack a liver and their brain is their slime core.

    - Drask: Dunno make their armfins actually have a unique bashing sound because they look like they can be used for fighting. Make them maybe glow ever so slightly on their colored arm things.

    - Vulnerable to heat (not fire/laser/energy/xray damage, just hot atmos), but harder bones to break. Maybe do something with their bones like... not being able to use patches with styptic powder due to having an exoskeleton. Raise brute resistance to balance that out.

The wikipedia section on morphine synthesis says that it's possible though way more expensive than extracting it from poppies. Maybe given a few hundred years morphine synthesis would be possible?

Exactly, those stupid poppy seeds contain it in such ridicolous concentration that any chemical synthesis results in being more costly than just extracting it.

  5. The mining location being a boring hunk of stone that contains literal trash for loot (most of the time. Okay the ultra rare demon heart never actualy happens if you are antag and they dont hire from manifest ever despite you being able to demon crawl is a huge advantage for sec) instead of a lava filled hellscape is another big pet peeve I hate when RNG screws me over and I roll miner. If it only was some lava filled hellscape with worthwhile challenges, ruins, rewards and loot I would love mining.

  6. - Paperwork

    - Fastmos. Even 1 bar to vacuum doesnt sen you flying.

    - Sec officers arresting for menial things despite real threats being out there (You vandalized that one window while there are ops inbound)

    - NT Reps that think they can fire anyone they don't like.

    - Powertripping NT Reps.

    - Blueshields not getting more weapons because "Revolver is enough". Then get emped or disarmed and lack a backup weapon.

    Security

    • Security Officers/Detectives/Head of Security/Wardens getting X-Ray when there's no need for it.

If there was something like an "Controllable/Filterable X-Ray-Vision" Gene IRL and its easily add able to anyones genome you can be sure as hell that police and military forces across the world would use it all the time. Heck I would love such an ability even when "just" working in a lab because it would be so handy to have.

The SSD on roundstart is common but oh well... if you set all fucking combat intensive roles or roles where you expect to get into action to medium if not high priority and wind up with genetics despite having it set to never and your prefs stating you want to be a Civi if no prefs are aviable (read in as Pseudo RnG fucked you over again) people are of course "cheating" on the system by going ssd, being brought to cryo late, so they dont give up their respawn rights. Do note I do not encourage that stuff. Atleast pretend you do the job and cryo after 30 minutes for reasons like "Yeah dont assign a combat oriented person to fucking medical" or some shit. People who SSD because "NOT ANTAG IN TWO ROUNDS" however despite getting their high priority role... those are fucking horrible. Hacking into a Gateway: Fuck queues and fuck paperwork. Takes the HoP a good 10 minutes to deny the clown all access before activating those fucking flashers, or show him that he wont get all access by gently tapping him with the E-Gun. After thats done guess what: You can file out a form on while you should get gateway explorer while the people hacking into it get a headstart and have clear all the fun stuff (T-Spiders and Syndi Base).

    On a more unrelated note:

The department suffering the most from people who want to be Civi and not doing anything is Botany. Heck I sign up as botanist too if no Civi roles are aviable... then go to the HoP, provided I have my QoL stuff assorted, and ask to be swapped to Civi. And know whats worse? FUCKING HOPS WANTING YOU TO DO PAPERWORK TO BECOME CIVI! GOOD LORD, I BURN THAT FUCKING PIECE OF PAPER INFRONT OF YOU AND JUST NOT DO MY JOB. Those HoPs are the fucking worst. Paperwork in general is horrific if you have to work with that crap on a regular basis IRL. Fuck I know that you have to wear safety goggles in a lab, no fucking need to tell me that every half year and make me fill out bullshit that "assures" my colleagues and me know that. God I HATE paperwork. I cryo over fucking paperwork bullshit. Paperwork bullshit antags that fake paperwork in the most unbelieveable way and still require me to FAX central with PAPERWORK give me fucking conniptions. Fight already like a man. With guns. With Fists. With Energy blades. But not with fucking paper you sadomasochistic prick.

  8. Station starves often for minerals because noone can be arsed to mine. And if people mine its mostly people with low combat experience who die to it.

People with combat experience find the asteroid boring and thus dont bother signing up for mining from what I have seen. Heck being not challenging and not rewarding is the reason why I dont do mining. Virology got the entire "create your god virus". Genetics has powers. Science has mechsuits, guns and shit you hand out to people. Sec has the entire deal of catching antags. Command feels rewarding for managing a crisis. Cargo for managing supply points in a good way. Mining for bringing ores... but usually you get bored by it pretty much because its so repetitive. You have your other miners which you can interact with. It is usually pretty nice. But that you can get with other jobs aswell for a far bigger stimulus. Like if I want to feel useful I go science and upgrade stuff. Or do Botany and do super crops that make chemistry cry (or actually cooperate and make cureall pills). Or be chef and be a not shit chef for once. Or be a detective and state very obvious things and deductions. But mining on the asteroid is stale... I totally agree. If there was a challenge or a reason to do this other than "Well every other department needs ores" I would totally do it. Heck even the loot you can find is not guarded and is pretty weak compared to what you can find on Lavaland. You can find a legit Lightgeist on Lavaland, make it sentient and gift it to the paramedic who would be so damn thankfull to have the pet. You could farm legions for legion souls and stabilize them and give them to people as an emergency self restoration. On Asteroid Hivelords are finite. On Lavaland you can find abductor gear (rarely) and can give it to science for analysis. You can find gimmicky toys like the blue/red cube that teleports you and anyone you have a grab on to the other cube. You find Paradox Bags that share contents. You have a risk of Ashwalkers... If the Asteroid had stuff like that alot more people would be willing to mine. And not just the same old bunch. Kudos to the miners we have and actually do their job for longer than 30-60 minutes. I have very deep respect for you.

I really wish Paradise Station had Lavaland...

  9. So... Is it valid for the HoS and command to cryo on Events like that? Because I do not gain any joy of fighting an unbeatable threat and might aswell do something else since its in my eyes a waste of time if you have no chance of fighting properly outside of having somehow a pulse annihilator. Allowing command to cryo on that without any valid reasons would avoid that kind of stuff in the future. Heck there are people cryoing SSD officers not for the sake of freeing up slots but for the sake of removing the chance for Tspiders and Xenomorphs to spawn. Speaks enough on itself how frequent they are.

Just want that question answered: Can I cryo on events like that without any punishment? Because frankly... I do enjoy command, I do enjoy dealing with threats. I do not enjoy with threats that are not defeatable period because it is a huge waste of time with a forseeable outcome.

Complaint: While an ongoing cult round bussing in multiple Tspiders (Queen, Tspider Prince), alongside a rev to "increase the tension". Apparently the Prince was random, then why a Queen when theres a prince considering how potent a prince is.

Yes cult has been beaten hard. Yes it was going to be about 45 minutes of extended essentially. But really does it have to be a god damn Terror Spider Queen and Terror Spider Prince together with a Revenant to increase tension? The Prince would be well enough considering what it can do to mechsuits because of its speed and damage. I am not complaining about bussing things in... or changing the course of a round that way. Moreso of the fact how its done recently. More often than not it has been like "Cult, crew has beaten cult, lets bus in some new threat they can impossibly deal with.". Why is it required to bus in a threat that cannot be defeated. An SIT with objectives to steal [insert valueable here] or to capture [X people] would do fine and would atleast not feel unbearable. This is way too overkill. And multiple people perceived this as Sec getting punished for actually doing their job for once. Thats how I perceived it aswell to be quite honest. Doesnt help the fact that many crewmembers cryoed the moment that the threat was evident. And to be honest. I was at the brink of ahelping that I have to cryo aswell to do some work, because I rather do that. That was before getting killed. Jesus atleast direct PM command that they can cryo if stuff like this is bussed in. Its not fun for command to be stuck in a round that is literally just "Wait till its finally over." in a situation that is not fun on the receiving end. It is not fun for sec to get shit from people because they can't deal with 20+ Tspiders, a Prince, a Queen and their equipment getting disabled. Atleast give sec and crew some good weapons next time to fight them with if something like that is bussed in. And I am not talking about the gamma armory contents... that stuff would have been useless against that kind of threat (Energy weapons which fire ultra slow against fast moving targets... a mech that gets obliterated because of wrong armaments, clusterbang flashbang).

The crew was COMPLETLY getting armed up the moment spiders got announced. We had multiple mechs hunting for spiders the moment they were announced and confirmed. And still lost it because you cannot deal with a prince and a Queen, while a revenant EMPs your mechsuit and shuts down your gear, while a blob randomly spawned in arrival. If it was for the prince alone it would be alright. A prince can be dealt with and actually spices up the entire shift. A Queen, a Prince and a Revenant later joined by a midround blob... that is just bullshit and basicly looks like sec is getting punished for doing their job. I am not saying that this was the intention. I am just saying that this is how it looks. And this is something that shouldnt be the case on any event run by admins in my opinion.

On top of that. The inevadeable Deathsquad barely managed to arm the nuke. And after the nuke was armed the Spiders crushed them... every single one of them... heck if a Deathsquad is having a hard time dealing with a bussed in situation... its pretty much overkill.

  11. Simple strategy: At roundstart aqquire all the tools for B&E (includes welder), figure out the wires, then get a crewmonitor from medbay and a medkit from med storage. Head to bridge. On the bridge deploy the 2 oxygen lockers, one right next to the captains bedroom, the other leading to the staff meeting room. Why? If nuke ops decide to rush the bridge you can use the tactical locker to cover the captain while he moves out. Also allows to block off doors. The tactical locker also saves people from bridge rushing traitors, vamps, you name it.

  12. Alright, still a weird way to handle it, and in my personal opinion a completly immersion ruining way to handle it since NT is a megacorporation... why would they bother with storing confiscated syndicate gear instead of deconstructing it and using the intel gathered on that. But eh. Gave up making sense out of that kind of stuff.

  13. So recently I observed a round where the Pod Pilot got into a fight with a geared up traitor. Pod Pilot was well armed (and armored) but still pulls out an M90 Gl. This is technically S Level contraband... and to my understanding (and from my experience) Sec can get into OOC trouble for using traitor gear (Abuse of Contraband) even if its not technically evidence. Said Pod Pilot proceeded to fire its underbarrel grenade launcher at the traitor. While lethal force against said traitor was authorized (considering they had meth alongside other stimulants) an M90 Gl is still an S-Class contraband item. So I'd like to ask: Is the entire thing about having to follow the law as sec (do not abuse contraband included) now tied to IC consequences? Say if a sec officer happens to find an ecrossbow in sci maints (or a storage implant, or an unused holopara injector) with no forensic evidence is it fine for them to use it without getting into OOC trouble?

Edit: Yes I did ahelp that.

In general that entire clause about not abusing contraband seems really off considering what NT is. They have a way to gather data by deconstruction on side. The syndicate employers alot of potent tech. Why not deconstruct the data and send it to Centcomm while being able to reverse engineer a few nice things. Adding to that is that syndicate tech disks yield the most cargo points... It should be more in the jurisdiction of the Captain/Magistrate if contraband usage is appropiate for Sec anyways. Like holy crap the Traitor comms is a risk free 2 TC item right now... but thats on another unrelated note. Either that or the rule should be enforced consistently... people regulary playing sec got in trouble for far far less than using a M90 Gl as a pod pilot.

In short: Could there be some better clarification on when you get in OOC trouble for using contraband and when you get into IC trouble? Because it seems very blurred right now.
