I was thinking the chemical would affect different races in different ways ( which is possible)

Kidan/skrell Oxyloss since insects breathe via osmosis ( this is how the chemical kills bugs/amphibians/slugs)

Slime Bloodloss since the chemical is h20 absorbent.

On tile (like lube) applies chemical to mobs, damages borers/spiders/spiderlings that traverse tile.

    on plants, like pest spray.

I'm suggesting debuffs that make sense, so that in turn kidan can receive buffs, like wearing glasses.

Okay instead of necroposting in an old thread I wish to share my idea

Insects IRL are much more susceptible to poisons due to their exoskeleton's and non complex circulatory systems.

Also due to the noncomplex circulatory system they should infact bleed out faster ( ants spiders roaches ect have large tube like structures for t heir blood, it'd be like humans had fire hoses for veins.

    Mechanical changes suggested

Increased toxin damage (inspired by IRL bugs vs pest spray)

    Increased bloodloss rate/damage

also new janitor chem> Diatomite is used as an insecticide, due to its abrasive and physico-sorptive properties.[8] The fine powder absorbs lipids from the waxy outer layer of insects' exoskeletons, causing them to dehydrate. Arthropods die as a result of the water pressure deficiency, based on Fick's law of diffusion

This chemical also works on slugs, it is completely harmless to mammals and plants however. This chemical would be a on tile/spray/touch that harms kidan/skrell/slime/borer/spiders, that is easily washed of with water or using a damp rag on self.

I don't think we need to beat up fox that bad.

But we shouldn't fear changing things, Grey's need something done to them, to make them more interesting, to make telepathy more usable.

Perhaps a snowflake code that puts their telepathy on cooldown if they are stunned, as a con to global telepathy.

Perhaps when on Drugs telepathy goes to the wrong person and gets garbled.

Death by water ( so watersprayer, fire extinguisher)

  4. I know somewhere, deep within the art section, there is a magnificent Mantis ftl inspired sprite, if we could replace kidan's sprite with this and did a nice retooling of them, it might make them a more attractive option ( green bugs> brown bugs)

Perhaps base pure metals aren't good enough as materials for some higher end stuff, perhaps you'd need to set up another machine, to make alloys, and this would take time, even with a maxed out machine.

The machines themselves wouldn't be cheap either, meaning science cant just spam a bunch of them, could also give them a ridiculous power draw.

  7.

perhaps their could be a non science telescience/teleportation job tasked with body retrieval and moving lazy people around.

You could either add it to cargo, or make it a karma job and put it in the teleporter room, and expand it using the empty space behind the captains room.

  8.

    what I would give tators.

3 theft objectives of items belonging to heads of staff (shared among all tators this shift)

5 general item objectives ( shared among all tators this shift)

2 assassinate/protect/disfigure objectives (may share, may conflict with other tators, just rng)

Survive or escape as one objective, Die or hijack as the other.

  9.

I could see this being good for traitors,

Perhaps a body swap high tc Item made by cybersun ( they have great mind tech ).

Otherwise, I don't see this as a thing that needs time spent on, time that could be used on nicer things.

IF and I say if, we have to have this

Data theory 7 bio 5, brain case. a brain shaped adapter, that you can place a posibrain inside, that will allow them control over and organic body.

and allow mmi's to fit inside IPC chassis.

then in character setup under prosthetics for organics, allow for a posibrain in case, and for IPC mmi.

  10.

You've just challenged the station to a game of ball for all the fucking quarters, but you're going need an edge right.

The syndicate has a plethora of items just for this.

Syndicate no slip shoes, Pickpocket gloves, Adrenaline implants, Para pen ( crew might lynch for such obvious cheating) Chameleon projector (become the ball)

Also make sure everyone gets a chameleon jumpsuit and you settle on a swag team uniform, Dna scramblers and agent cards to look fly is also a good idea.
