All access and the ability to ignore SOP more than make up for not being able to search or deal with multiple people, imo.
-
Even if some SOP were introduced in regards to searches... People won't care about SOP IC if breaching is produces results. This is something that happens quite often.
If, however, a clause was added to Space Law that said something along the lines of "Anyone searched or detained in a manner that is against SOP or Space Law may not be charged with any crime utilising evidence from said search/arrest, even EOC status." would be quite !!fun!!.

It isn't uncommon for some HOSes to order searches just in case people have storage implants, which I think epitomises the frustration here.

If it means clowns get a free balloon, I'm all for it, where do I sign?
-
NT Balloon comes with Green Alert ERT.
It's just a guy with a balloon who shouts moral-boosting things.

It's all well and good saying "Run away", but as soon as one disabler strikes you you're a sitting duck for that borg. Doukan's tactical table idea works fantastically well against borgs, I have to say.
-
Vampires need a way of muting. Glare is a nice stun, but one ;help maint and you're shafted before you've even had a pint of blood.
-
Might also be worth reinforcing the fact that NT rep is on NT's side in any and all situations.
-
I love it. Energy sword sounds, nuke ops hardsuit sounds, xeno hiss, gunfire, ebow firing sound, EMP sound and anything else normally makes people get all shouty in common chat.
-
I'm not entirely sure how this would actually change anything in regards to how rounds go.
-
Not really, it ends up just being tonnes of labcoats and bomber jackets in there, I'm sure someone else has a sound reason as to why it keeps them behind. Maybe something to do with their pockets not being scanned correctly or something?
-
I prefer NanoTrasen, for multiple reasons.
NT is the commonly used abbreviation, the guy who found it as per in-lore is called Xavier Trasen and it's also nicer looking IMO.
As for spelling/speaking the command acronyms, I personally say HOS, HOP and SOP (Vox bonus points for saying Hossie, hoppie, soppie and cappy) whilst spelling out CMO, RD and CE.
-
Two things - What items are actually kept behind to be retrieved later, and would it be possible to expand this list of items to include job-unique items like null rods?
-
Wolverine implant claws, nice. There's some good ideas here, IPCs having some method of tampering with machines/APCs/various electronics could be a neat available upgrade.
Vox magclaws giving leap when?

A whitelist system would be perfect for this, but I'm not entirely sure the administrative staff would want to go down that route.
-
Anything that makes alternative attempts and increases usage of lesser-seen antag items is pretty nifty.
-
I'd be all for this. Would take some workload off of the respective heads, too. No real downsides to it that I can see.

I've suggested something before based on the distress beacon in the FTL game - It could be another option on the authenticater machine, and has random/admin-chosen outcomes. You could have junkers come to scrap the distressed station, band of highly armed mercenaries come to save you for a price, a shuttle arrives nearby for people to use to escape, antags get reinforcements, SIT/SST get sent to claim station for the Syndicate/Loot stuff, ERT or other friendly military power come and attempt to help. Could be anything really, just an idea.

Or make chaplain have protection spells they can cast on rooms?
Whilst it could work, I'm quite wary about giving Chaplains yet even more mechanical power and a license to do whatever they want because it's anti-antag.

Old cult required that any cultists you summoned were not bound - either in handcuffs, straightjackets or welded into a locker. It sounds like cultists can be summoned away under any circumstance now. I'd suggest that making the cult summon spell work like it used to, in addition to given cultists the unbinding spell, and maybe even security's bolas making someone become unsummonable.

Security have nothing to do with demotions until the point law is broken. If they refuse to return their stuff or refuse to leave, law is broken there.
Telebatons are also incredibly powerful against any humanoid antag. Nuke Ops basically die to them without adrenals as an example. They're long overdue a nerf.
-
Telebatons should, at the very least, not be able to chain-stun. Considering how heads are not security, they shouldn't be able to telebaton-drag people to the brig... Which happens daily. I wouldn't mind if they were removed to be absolutely honest. Heads have a flash for self-defence. And if someone's wearing sunglasses? Tough shit!

People bleed under the cryotubes all the time and it never, ever gets cleaned. This is what Shadey refers to.

This does not sit easily with me; giving head a license to baton, cuff and strip people. We're getting legally grey there.
