If you're talking about that setup that I blew up, it was a catastrophic meltdown. It happened when the supermatter got smacked by a piece of metal when I didn't want it to. I also checked and doublechecked to try and make sure the system could handle it.
Unless you're talking about a different supermatter explosion...

This also feels like it would start a bit of a migration of power in Cargo's favour, because even though they may not be able to USE the tank transfer valves and/or tanks of bad gasses, they can just deny any and all requests for these things, no matter how legitimate they are

Oh, the Voxquisition. Was fun to participate in that little thing as the Chaplain, though the round ended up being rather quiet after all of the vamps were dealt with, until the Honkmother came on the station

I kinda miss the fact that there was actually a notable difference between all the races, it added to the overall 'flavour' of the station atmosphere, where there were all these strange aliens who were better suited at some tasks and not as well suited for other tasks.

I'm fairly sure that's how the old supermatter worked, the implosion thing. And to the stage 6 singularity thing, eating the supermatter only gives the singularity the ability to go stage 6, but it still has to eat enough mass to actually get to that stage, though the supermatter probably gives it a good boost towards it as well
