It's a bit of a pain to have to download and install universal translating software to hear anyone from the start.
What's the point of it? I mean, the software is pretty much mandatory for a PAI anyways, you might as well just give it automatically and take the points it costs out of the pool.

Sure this method works too. As long as ipcs are buildable, I can do silly things to them.
Need like, an ipc painter too. Works like a pipe painter.

I really think the torso would help a lot to see IPC players get back into the round as their character.

Less head damage seems a bit OP, as most people aim for the head and woodpeckers do not have stronger skulls. They have shock absorbing for their beak, not the whole head.

Syndie : Adrenal Implant, instantly counters stuns upon activation and makes you immune to them for a short time after. Dual esword, deflects energy shots, including tasers, 100% of the time when active, likewise with the eshield.
Vampire : Rejuvinate, instantly counters stuns.
Changeling : Can sting while stunned and cuffed, can lesser form to get out of handcuffs.
Rev : Has a hoard of angry assistants to tank shots. If an officer empies his taser into the crowd, yes the majority of them will be down, but only for a time less than a flashbang would cause, and the officer has just wasted all 5 of his taser shots.
Rest assured, antags have ways around stuns.

Question for the people that voted yes to keeping insta stun batons:
Why exactly do you want that? On my side it just seems like it encourages officers to rush in (as the baton outclasses the taser by a good bit) and makes it more of an offensive weapon, not more a self defense/finishing tool. It also means melee combat against officers is WORTHLESS no matter how good your weapon is as they can just stun then nab your weapon.
Who are we presuming is fighting the officer here, because most antags have ways to counter stuns.
What do non-nuke ops have to fight stuns?

Could we add to the robotcist machine the ability to print IPC heads and torsos? At least the torsos.
The heads could be printable to as to let posibrains that get activated be turned into IPC. In theory I suppose you might be able to put a normal brain in there.
The torso though is much needed. Many times when an IPC is killed their head gets lost from their body. I have spent many rounds silently cursing as my head was found, but not my body.
If both are added this could allow complete IPC bodies to be created, and stockpiled. It means a quicker way to get an IPC back into a round if the roboticist does their job, or a way for them to make a new player that is not a borg.

Okay, I stand corrected. They would know the dangers, but hardsuits are supposed to be rare. I mean engineering and mining starts with them, and that is about all. (I know captain and paramedic do, but generally it is seen as poor form for them to walk around the station in a hardsuit.) Giving telescience a way to just ignore their only real downside seems pointless.

Well its not really meta if you can look into eva and see the coveted hardsuits.
It is if you expect to have a plasma fire and so within the first three minutes you teleport a hardsuit to yourself.

I see little point in this. If part of your trouble is that you are lopping limbs off too quickly.... then stop complaining. The person just lost a limb and the only advantage they have is that you have a quick pause to select a new section while they limp off or fight back.
Otherwise, someone could get an axe and just aim for a foot, and work their way up automatically.

Getting a hardsuit is absolutely trivial for telescience. I can have one within three minutes of entering the room.
The proposition is simply that instead of stealing a hardsuit from EVA for use in telescience, telescience either have a hardsuit to begin with, or the means to make the room safer, quickly. Thus obviating the need for a hard suit.
I think this is part of the problem. You admit to stealing a hardsuit with telesci. Isn't that is a prime definition of powergaming as well as meta?
Do you steal weapons in case someone attacks you, or maybe the spare captain ID... in case you need to get somewhere locked. Where do you draw a line with being a teleporting magpie?

Also, why five a hardsuit? Giving telesci one just means that there is less need for the atmos techs to do their jobs. If they have less to do, then they become David Buck....

Very very slow round; ICly Eldrin brought me a few vending machines and mentioned "I may have a problem"; Fox told him of his experience with Goon Facility Charlie and how much equipment/machines the QM had there--to the degree cargo was called QMs. He then went and got every single vending machine he could think of---Bulma even showed up and helped get the BODA vending machine from the derelict.
Zero adminus involved---the only admin action I did was deleting a wall screen console so a vending machine wouldn't be hidden behind it.
Whoo! Greatest thing ever. Someone else got the medivend. My only failure was not getting magivend.

To follow up with this, a bit; all civilians will now spawn in with a randomly colored jumpsuit.

I was working Virology this morning and the HoP came into my lab with a egun set to lethal and just stared at me for 2-3 minutes after I cautiously said hi.
He finally asks if I had seen any spiders and walks off after I say no. Scary moment for me.
It was more like 2-3 seconds.
Those spiders had it coming. Unfortunately Rogue is a terrible shot.
It felt longer. I am VERY aware of how allergic my IPC is to lasers.

It has recently come to our attention that our kin in command position are not supplied with the mandatory tele baton every other races receives uppon entering the NCS Cyberaid.
We consider this a great offence against the shoal and demand immediate clarification.

I prefer roleplay over "silliness", and that's my personal opinion, so yes. You don't agree with my opinion that's fine. My name is not humorous, it's actually named after the original citadel paint colour, and is not a reference for humor. Quite how you'd see it as such is beyond me.
We don't get to choose our own perfect game, we just get to play the closest thing to it. We all make compromises in this way.
This is suposed to be MEDIUM roleplay. As such I question attempts to make our roleplay stricter than that of Bay.
I know what your forum and c-key name is a reference to. I meant the character name in your signature. The one that is just a chemical split into a first and last name.

Of course it's my opinion, that's why this is a poll.
If I had my way, there'd be no costumes other than alternate but official clothing for all jobs, such as the nurse uniform in medical. This thread is about the vending machines that have gone, not any others.

I am completely fine with just printing torsos.
